My daughter is 3 years old and she didn’t enjoy so much the show. I was disappointed with the actors clothing, because they run a show for kids they suppose to wear some colourful costumes. The performance was good, just luck of proper costumes didn’t capture kids attention :(

I took my 3.5 year old to see this and it was entertaining for us both... especially the snake! The actors have great energy and if it wasn't for the seats (front row of the dress circle) this would have been a 5* review. I'll definitely be looking out for the production company when they put on "The snail and the whale" and "Oi Frog" at the Apollo :-)

Lovely interactive show, it was my daughters first trip to the theatre and she loved it! Missed the facepainting which was a shame, maybe this could also be booked in advance?

Took my great niece 5 and great nephew 3. They both absolutely loved the show ... as did my husband and myself. The cast worked so hard and it was lovely to hear all the children joining in. I had to reatrain myself as I got a bit carried away .

The performance was good however I think the characters could have been a little more realistic. The biggest problem was.the sheer noise of children and parents who didn't respect other were trying to watch and people.with phones. It was unreal and nobody policeing it

I took my two and a half year old Grandson who was glued to his seat for the entire performance, enjoying the whole performance. His favourite characters were the mouse and the Gruffalo! A wonderful introduction to the theatre at a young age. Ran for just the right length of time.

Very Good. Good interaction with the Audience representation of the characters. Our 3 1/2 yr old granddaughter loved it. Only negative comment is that the Gruffalo costume could have emphasised his physical attributes more. eg Jaw, Tusks, purple spikes, teeth and boil! However, would thoroughly recommend it.

Loved the music and singing! It attracted kids attention -3 years old boys- for the first 15 mins and then they started to ask why grafollo is not coming out yet. Would be great if it’s more compact and , at the end that grafollo would be able to come down to kids even if just run around.

Good seats for the price. Audience participation appropriate. Diction by mouse and fox actors in some dialogue and songs was unclear at times If I couldn't understand what they were saying /singing, I am sure my 5 year old grandson and 4 year old granddaughter couldn't either. Story teller/ Gruffalo was on the mark in his diction and role play. Just the right level of scariness and yet 'cuddly'. No oversell re: programmes and souvenirs. One child's ticket free and 'children eat free at Bills' with show tickets. Plus the Changing of the Guard, Lego world and a glimpse of our PM. Altogether a very very successful day. Good luck with your next venture.

Excellent productions, the actors were very animated and kept us all entertained! We initially booked it for my four year old daughter, but my other two daughters aged 1 and 9 equally loved it! They loved the singing and all the actions! The stage was set out well, all in all we thoroughly enjoyed it. The production was an hour in length so it didn’t drag on which was great!

I went to see the show with a 4 year old and I must say that he was a bit disappointed. We expected more puppetry or cartoon-style costumes and it was difficult for him to get excited with the adult actors despite them being good. I think everyone from our group expected at least the Gruffalo himself to be resembling the one from the story book and kids got a bit disappointed. I would recommend this show for kids over 6 years of age.

The show didn't live up to expectations. The last show we came to see at the Lyric was Gangsta Granny. A hard act to follow! The Gruffalo costumes were poor, there was no change of scenery and it felt at times as though we were at a pantomime. Unsurprisingly, the theatre was almost empty!

We loved your production. Two adults and a 15 year old boy. Humour was great, as tailored for the adults watching with their children. Brilliantly done ✅

I felt the actors were fantastic and really animated! However the meeting of the animals was a little too long and dragged on quite a lot. My three year old lost interest in between. I think a faster pace would help keep younger ones engaged with their favourite story!

A lovely and ideal show for the little ones mine 4-8 they enjoyed the songs and the show entirely. Not sure if it's a good idea to take the very little children as the younger ones were very unsettled throughout and it kind of ruined it for most trying to watch(sorry) I know it's hard, but maybe take the kids when they're over 4. Good show but perhaps a little too pricey.but then again it is London

My three children (3 year old and twin 9 year olds) all loved this show. My little one loved the Gruffalo himself and my older ones picked up on some of the older humor (there's lots of it!) I absolutely loved it and recommend it to all Gruffalo lovers!
