Unfortunately our seats really let the experience down. We were in the grand circle in C35 and 36. While they were sold as “restricted view” seats, the description gave us the impression that would still be able to enjoy the show and see most of the action, if not some special effects and moments near the wings. The theatre provided the following description: “This seat has a restricted side view of the stage”. We have purchased “restricted view” seats before and never had an issue. In actuality due to large boxes on both sides of the stage there was no view of both the back or front of the left side of the stage across to the midline. This meant large parts of the show became a radio play, with no way of viewing the actors at all. We discussed this with the team at the theatre, who were very nice, but ultimately unable to help due to the theatre being sold out. We are surprised that the theatre elected to sell the tickets at all and are truly quite disappointed given the price of £55 per seat, per show. Having paid over £200 for the two of us and missed half of the show my advice is DO NOT choose these seats.

Very cramped amd painful toward the end as the seats are narrow amd not much leg room, myself and husbands knees were very painful after the show. The steps down the the seats were very steep and not good for someone who is unsteady on their feet as there is no handrail

View of a cage unless you leaned forward or stood in the corner (which I had to do due to leg cramp).

Isn't it time for this theatre to have a revamp and put in seats that fit 21st C humans - with longer legs and larger rumps?

Not much legvroom for such a long show. Really hot. Handrails obscure the view but you can see the whole show with a few head adjustments.
