After a triumphant run in the West End earlier this year, Felicity Kendal, Jonathan Coy and Alexander Hanson return in one of the greatest comedies ever written, Noises Off.

Michael Frayn’s celebrated play serves up a riotous double bill – a play within a play.

Hurtling along at breakneck speed, Noises Off follows the on and offstage antics of a touring theatre company as they stumble their way through the fictional farce, Nothing On. From the shambolic final rehearsals before the opening night in Weston-Super-Mare, to a disastrous matinee in Ashton-Under-Lyme seen entirely, and hilariously silently, from backstage, we share their final, brilliantly catastrophic performance in Stockton-on-Tees.

I had heard that this was a great play to come and see. It was even more poignant as we are part of an amdram group. The cast fit the characters and all gelled very well. The comic timing was excellent. The set was great and the backstage crew had done a great job. My wife said she thought it was the funniest play she had seen. Wel traveled from Cumbria to see this play. Well worth the money...

This is laugh out loud brilliance. As the show opens it takes a couple of minutes for the penny to drop with the audience but after that wow. The energy from the cast is amazing, fantastic comic timing, classical farce at its very best.

Noises Off is just great for a laid back chuckle The First Act sets the scene but the Second Act is where it all goes bonkers. ALL the cast played their parts well and crucially got all the comedic timing spot on, very well done. Its well worth a "go see", the Theatre Royal is beautiful however I did bat a small eyelid at the £22 for the interval G&T's……
