  Well, in 51 years, I've never seen a ballet before and for my first one, this was outstanding. The music, venue (except my seat) and performance were superb. I was really impressed with the helpfulness of the staff, bar facilities and food.

  The dancer where stunning but the audience where talking and taking pictures the staff needed to do a better job at telling people to be quite and respect the theatre.

  The Nutcracker, one of my favourite ballets. Very skilled dancers, beautiful costumes and decor and delightful music. A memorable evening. My daughter and I love how inspirational and inclusive the English National Ballet is.

  Loved the music and the performance as a whole. Sound quality was good as I have a hearing impairment. View from our seat was good in the stalls too.

  If you feel sad, not in a holiday mood, if you don’t believe in fairytales anymore - go see this show. It will lift your spirits and give extra sparkle to your day. Classical music that you probably have heard before, exquisite costumes and gravity-defying ballerinas make you forget you’re in 21st century London and welcome you to the magical land of the Nutcracker. Absolutely recommend visiting by your self and/or with kids.

  We took our 8 year old to watch this not expecting him to sit through but he did and was completely mesmerised. Good show and great performances from the artists.

  I wasn't sure what to expect as l had never seen a ballet performance but l actually enjoyed the whole thing. The Coliseum is a beautiful theatre and the atmosphere throughout the area was quite electric. As for the performance l thought the sets (scenery) were very good and helped build a wonderful picture in my mind . The first half with the whole story been played out with the very young dancers plus elder couple l thought was very amusing . As for the young dancers it was joyful watching . During the interval the service at the bar area was very good and then the second half of the performance was excellent, the ballet sets , group dancers in there colourful costume were fantastic alongside the couple who did sets on their own . It's something l would come to see again.

  The first half was quite drawn out and really not enjoyable. It was the second half wherein one really got to enjoy and appreciate ballet. Could have been much better structured with less focus on the elaborate and unnecessary scene setting and more on the actual ballet performances. Was left wanting for more.

  Most enjoyable and, in parts, really moving. If anything, the experience was made even more enjoyable by all the chattering school girls sitting in front of us in the Upper Circle.

  We booked this in advance of my wife's 50th birthday so the whole family were looking forward to this however the train strikes resulted in it being impossible to attend. We did speak to the box office but no alternative dates could be sort or refunds which was rather disappointing!

  I took my daughter and her fairy godmother on New Year's eve. It was so magical for all of us. Some of the entrance front of house staff seemed grumpy. Which isn't helpful for a production aimed at children and families.

  Thoroughly enjoyed the performance. However, there was no reference or order number as part of the confirmation email. When checking with the box office at the theatre they could not confirm the booking. The confirmation was accepted at the theatre but we had a very unsettling time until the email was accepted ar the theatre.

  My first experience of ballet and it was fantastic! Tickets were a gift for my wife so we had a long overdue day together in London. The ballet was amazing - such skill and strength. The theatre is beautiful and staff were very accommodating. Great performance in a great setting.

  This production was not very Nutcrackery, in the second half the nutcracker was only involved for about 5 mins of the last 50 mins, however the dancing by the company was very good, but came across as a bit self satisfactory (look how good I am) . Being in box 8 and charged full price but only being able to see 60 percent of the stage did not help.

  This was me and my mums first time to a ballet and we thoroughly enjoyed it .The set and performance was magnificent .This certainly won't be our last visit .now looking forward to the next one

  The set is magically beautiful, the dancing is lovely. Read a synopsis before you go, and ENB’a interpretation: easier to understand the golden couple signature dance, Clara and her nutcracker and the sugar plum fairy dance characters and who does what.

  Stunning scenery, wonderful dancing and acting. A show that had all ages captivated. Be careful when ordering drinks for the interval though. We ordered a vodka and coke and a coke. These were not clearly marked as to which one was which. A huge problem to a child, driver or recovering alcoholic.

  We didn't get to see Nutcracker due to two of my group rested positive for COVID the morning of the performance. Ingresso would not give a refund, partial refund or offer different dates. Didn't even offer to allow us to book a different show. We lost £150 in cost of tickets. Will never book with Ingresso again. I wonder if this will stay posted on their review site.

  A beautiful venue for an outstanding performance of The Nutcracker! We received a warm welcome from all staff; from the security man inspecting our handbags to the young man selling programmes and ice-cream on the dress circle. The production was marvellous and the music too. Thank you for a fabulous evening’s entertainment.

  I took my young granddaughters, 10 and 7 to their first ballet. They were enthralled by it. Thank you ENO, please stay in London for many more years, I'd like to see so much more with them!

  It seems the wokes have got hold of ENO's version of The Nutcracker. This version was previously traditiional. Matthew Bourne normally does the wacky stuff. I'm sure there is more than 1 non white dancer, why bother if you're only going to make a token gesture. Where was the Sugar Plum Fairy's 'traditional' costume? Dissappointed! Perhaps you will be better off in Manchester if this how you feel The Nutcracker should be presented.

  First time watching the Ballet at Christmas for me. It was absolutely brilliant and emotional too. I have so much appreciation for the dedication and athleticism of the all dancers. It was also a privilege to be watching at the Coliseum. I will most definitely be back again!
