Only criticism of the play was it left out the lines "Boo was our neighbour, he gave us two soap dolls, a broken watch and chain, a pair of good luck pennies and our lives" these are very important to my mind but otherwise it was fantastic

The actors, musicians and scenery were all absolutely fabulous. I recently re-read the book so it would be fresh in my mind, and all the important and relevant bits were included. The humour injected throughout was a light relief to the serious topic. You know it's a fabulous show when you walk out and know you could easily watch it all over again. Massive well done.

Thoroughly enjoyed the play; set changes were slick, actors put their all into it and major themes (racism, justice) were addressed with aplomb. Thought one or two American accents were a bit variable, but overall a fantastic effort all round.

What a great evening. A very strong cast conveyed all the nuances of prejudice and struggle from the 1930s deep south and clever set design provided the perfect backdrop. Although it's a long time since I read the book, this production conveyed everything that I have always loved about it.

It was a refreshing interpretation that highlighted the essential themes in the story with clear perspectives from all in the play. Imaginative.

I loved the way the plot was kept moving forward by the narration of the junior characters. They played such an important part in the book and I think Sorkin got this just right in the play. Scout, Jem and Dill were really well cast and particularly Dill was a show stopper - just like a young Capote should be. A loud Atticus took some getting used to, but it was a valid way of seeing him.

What a fresh and enjoyable production of 'To Kill a Mockingbird'! Wonderful acting, great set, and accessible script. Nearly three hours long, yet never dragged for a moment. The story was familiar, yet its characters were given contemporary personalities which made the tale even more relevant to today. A great evening!

The best play I have ever seen. Staging, lighting, acting, music and ambiance all perfect. A wonderful theatre to show this fantastic production as well.

Performance excellent, scenery, props, atmosphere amazing. Enabling as always through the narrative, an enabling of dealing with bias, prejudice, hatred and how the legal system works (informs even in todays legal system) views all good regardless of angles. My son is tall so seats a little uncomfortable, but that's the design nature of the magnificent theatre and the experience. Very impressed with customer service. Perhaps a bigger screen to watch the play for those of us that were late. Overall experience, exactly what I wanted for my son: design, live acting, ability through props and theatre mechanics to go from outside, to courtroom, to bedrooms to flashbacks to memory scenes - wonderful

I could not hear a lot of the conversations as we were seated high up and the actors were not wearing microphones. I cant review as I missed so much of the story.

I was so looking forward to see this well reviewed play. If you have read the book by Harper Lee and seen the movie you will find no new insights with the play version of mockingbird. The actors were professional . The staging conventional , nothing unique or inspiring to be found . Very disappointed. So much more could be had with creativity ,imagination and a bit more experimental thinking.

A play so powerful, acted and staged so well, that it should be compulsory to experience! It's what thought provoking theatre is all about.

From start to finish… I found this play, of the book, ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’… enthralling… with a great cast playing the child and adult characters… Matthew Modine, played Atticus Finch… with such believable sincerity that I felt this role was made for him.

Excellent performances, brought the story to life. True to the book but with contemporary references. A real taste of the South. Immersed in the warm glow of small town life. The feel of a sultry afternoon and a view of life from an eight year old adult. The prospect of how things could be, but sadly aren't.

Sound very poor. We were row P stalls and missed so much due to cast not projecting their voices! We considered it a mistake to use Scout as narrator because she had such a quiet voice. We don’t think that the audience will fully understand the story if they haven’t read the book. We saw a far better production in the round at Salisbury theatre.

Uncomfortable to watch because of the subject but an outstanding cast and really well put together. Only minor issue, Scout's voice was too quiet at times to hear all that she said.

Well acted. Story and language as written in the book. Some of the narration was hard to hear given the American accent and the piano playing at the same time. Did not affect the overall enjoyment of the show.

This is such a powerful book and so relevant to today. Sadly quite a bit was lost as the main actors spoke too quickly, weren’t audible and the Southern USA accent was too false and made understanding vital parts impossible. A lot could and should be done to remedy this. It took away from the enjoyment and diluted the essential message.

We thoroughly enjoyed the play, having read the book and seen the Gregory Peck film. It was powerful and moving, well directed and acted. Sometimes it was a little difficult to hear the actress who played Scout but overall an excellent performance.

I was expecting To Kill a Mocking Bird to be rather serious and rather depressing, given the subject matter. However, it was an absolute delight. The story is faithful to the book and the acting from every one of cast was superb. There is some humour, which made the audience laugh out loud. No wokery anywhere, just a faithful version of the book. Totally believable, the characters drew me in to their story. The cast received a standing ovation. I LOVED it. We sat in the stalls, M14 & 15. Perfect seats.

I liked the way the story was described. The voice of the actors was low at times and could not follow from the last rows of the Grand Circle.

I had read the reviews and knew it was going to be good, but it was so much more .An amazing production and powerful performances from the cast. 'Atticus' was perfect, as we're Scout Jem, and Dill. My favourite book on stage !! Enjoyed every minute. Congratulations to the whole team

Brilliant. Very powerful hearing the N word spoken out loud. In this woke world we never hear that yet to not say it is denying the whole ethos of the play.
