There were different response from staffs, some staff say hello/ thank you to English people but ignored me. About the seat, another person was sitting in my seat and the staff asked the woman sitting there if she has a ticket for that seat, she moved but looked me with hateful eyes.

The story was narrated wonderfully by Anna Munden who played Scout Finch, Atticus’s daughter with help from Sam Mitchell and Ellis Howard who played her brother and friend. The cast were brilliant in their roles whilst Matthew Modine took on the role of Atticus with such an ease it was easy to believe in the character. The rest of the cast were equally believable and this culminated in a fantastic show that received a standing ovation deservedly so.

Great adaptation of the story that added a little lightheartedness to what is a serious play. Great acting by all the cast, especially the younger members who were telling the story as well as acting our their respective parts. The time flew by.

Monday night in the Stalls on a balmy Bank Holiday and Labour Fay and what a treat! The set was versatile and fluidly moved snd used in the small compact Theatre. Loved the live Pisano and guitar music which enhanced the atmosphere . The book is a classic, the film with Gregory Peck a classic, but this play version was moving, funny, made everyone stop to think with outstanding acting from all the cast! A standing ovation from us all was well deserved snd I just hope it reopens do I can bring teenagers who I teach to see it: so important today: kindness, tolerance, respect and equality all too often we need reminding which this play did! Well done. St least film ir so we can show it from an online platform in schools! Thank you all

It's quite a while since I've been to a West End Theatre and this production of To Kill A Mockingbird was the perfect reintroduction. It was excellent in every way and gripped my, and the whole audience's, attention for every second.

Great cast - superb writing and very well produced. It held my attention throughout. A powerful play and a play for this moment in history. It seems we have learned little since it was first written.

I thought Succession the best acted, scripted show I saw this year but it was overtaken last night by To Kill A Mockingbird at the Gielgud. If you like the best of theatre you must see this before it closes on May 20. Take a bow the entire magnificent cast (and the late Harper Lee). Thank you for restoring my faith in the theatre and not fiddling with the original. The recent Oklahoma and My Fairy Lady directors would have had Tom Robinson as a white man.

Last nights performance of the classic novel to Kill a Mockingbird was thought provoking and powerful, delivered by a talented and star studded cast. The effects of this performance remain with me today as I write this review and leaves me chilled about our current condition and hopeful about the future in equal measure. Thank-you!

I was absolutely thrilled when I saw that To Kill A Mockingbird was being staged in London. A friend and I were extremely keen to book tickets but were left in limbo when the only ones available were upwards of £125 or the bare basic £33 with restricted views. Due to finances, we opted for the £33 and hoped for the best - ideally we would've liked to have paid around the £50/£60 mark for a slightly better view. Sadly prior to the event, my friend fell unwell and was unable to attend, but my Husband, who has never read the book offered to accompany me, despite being sceptical about the whole thing. What. A. Performance. To Kill A Mockingbird has been my favourite booked since I read it at GCSE, and to see it bought to life was truly incredible. I was left utterly speechless with an extremely full heart that it surpassed any expectation I had going in. I reluctantly asked my Husband at the end what he thought of it, knowing full well it wasn't his usual Saturday afternoon viewing. His words were "That was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed it." If you're unsure on if you should go and see it, doubt no longer, it was absolutely outstanding.

I thoroughly enjoyed the performance. In my opinion it really caught the message of the book. Also, the production including scenery changes worked perfectly. In short I would strongly recommend a visit.

I really enjoyed watching the show yesterday. The actors and actresses were fantastic, and despite its sombre undertone, there were quite a few laughs. I would thoroughly recommend seeing this before it ends. I have never read the book (unbelievably), but I will now, and there are quite a few important lessons for us all.

This was a stylish and well-thought through production, very faithful to the book, but maybe a little too long. The imaginative staging, with the 'children' now grown looking back at the events of that fateful summer and the very slick and intelligent changes of scenery, kept the production moving along at a good pace. Matthew Modine was brilliant if I had to pick out one performance, he really held the stage throughout and was a very believable Atticus Finch. Overall a very fine realisation for the stage of a unique novel, well worth seeing.

I was so impressed by the young barmaid in the bar as you walk in the theatre. I accidentally ordered a Sprite instead of a soda. She had to get a manager to do a refund. There was a queue of people of people with two minutes to the start of the play. Potentially a stressful situation! She we as so calm, kind and personable. Made my evening (young girl with glasses).

Great performance, totally absorbing. Loved the way the scenery just moved with the story. I had read the book many years ago but was surprised how much had forgotten, however didn't detract in any way from a moving and challenging story. Excellent.

We have so far to go in reintroducing empathy in our society. Ostracizing difference, immigrants, ethnic minorities, trans etc by glamourising the idea of being 'anti-woke' is a dreadful indictment of our society. The issue is class. Those oppressed in this story have more in common than they are allowed to think, just by credit of their humanity. Sadly, this has not changed enough! We have regressed. Sorkin's "To Kill a Mockingbird" is a brilliant reworking giving voice to the black experience through Cal's withering sarcasm and sadness. The acting, especially Scout (Anna Munden) and Jem (Sam Mitchell) creates pace and humour and shock. Dil (Ellis Howard) was just brilliant, funny and sadly disturbing at the same time. At the centre was Modine's strong performance as a flawed and fearful Atticus Finch. If the court scenes were a little "clumpy" with his anger not as convincing as hoped, it is not surprising. The emotional range required as the tension rises must be incredibly difficult for any actor. The set was superb!

Read the book twice, seen the Oscar winning film numerous times so this had a lot to live up to. Wow it certainly did, the whole cast were superb. Stage management was flawless. Capturing the essence of the book which still is poignant today.

I had wondered how the writers would tie in the subject plots alongside the trial and they executed it brilliantly. The acting was sublime, characterisations perfext. Only thing not to give it 5 stars were the accents. Sometimes hard to understand what was being said and a little inconsistent.
