Over 100 dancers and musicians bring Nutcracker to life with exquisite dancing, beautiful sets and Tchaikovsky’s popular score played live.

On a sparkling Christmas Eve in a frost-dusted Edwardian London, Clara and her enchanted Nutcracker doll discover a magical world, where she battles with the Mouse King and meets a handsome stranger. As the air grows colder, Clara and her valiant Nutcracker take a hot air balloon ride across London to the glistening Land of Snow where her adventure really begins.

From the sound of the orchestra tuning up, to the final bows and cheers, a trip to English National Ballet at the London Coliseum is an unforgettable Christmas treat.

English National Ballet’s Nutcracker returns for four weeks only, following sold out performances in 2018, 2017 and 2016 – book early and make Nutcracker part of your holiday celebrations.

I took my 7 yeqr old granddaughter on Saturday 4th January we both enjoyed it hugely. If we could change anything it would be to have had Clara present on the stage in the 2nd act. There were times when we had to remind outrselves that the 2 parts were connected.

This ballet has become part of our Xmas, and where possible we always try and see a performance. This one was beautifully danced, the whole cast wee excellent, this was a highly enjoyable performance that we thoroughly enjoyed. I would recommend this to anybody and would hope they too come to enjoy this ballet as part of their Xmas celebrations too.

The ballet was enchanting and the first half particularly engaging for children - my 5 year old grandson loved the humourous bit and the action [ we had read the story and so he was expecting the Mouse King!] and he loved the end of the section with the hot air balloon [ will we know what happens to them?] However, the second half was not as exciting for children and I noticed a lot of children were restless and we had to keep him engaged by pointing out what was happening. It was possibly just a bit too long
