After its thrilling 2018 run, the classical ballet and street dance mash up that is Beats on Pointe is back.
As two opposing dance worlds clash, 16 dancers go toe-to-toe in this fun-fuelled fusion of ballet and hip hop. This high-energy show features not only extremely exciting dancing, but also freestyle acts, singing, beatboxing, a touch of comedy and plenty of feel-good music covering an all-embracing mix of classical, 70’s grooves and current hits.
Excellent show, full of remarkable talent. Hip Hop meets Ballet Very entertaining Loads of energy
Absolutely fantastic show! 5 star
My only criticism is that it's not running for longer so i could see it again and tell everyone to go and see it. Fantastic show, music was fabulous and I couldn't sit still or stop singing. Such a talented group, such energy. I took my 12yr old daughter and everyone stopped for photo's with her at the stage door too, she was thrilled. I wish the cast every success for their future's.
From the start an enthralling and mesmerising fusion of street dance and ballet, fill with spectacular tricks and laced with humour and wit.
I read a review before I left which gave 2 stars but I needed have worried. The show was amazing and totally captivating, such talented dancers. It was entertaining from start to finish. Brilliant.
The dance show was amazing, totally uplifting and exhilarating. By far the best dance show I have seen!
Funny, brilliant, fantastic, enjoyed by us all very talented people would definitely recommend..
The combination of the grace and beauty of the ballet and the grove and coolness of the Hip Hop was seamless. The dancers were strong & graceful, while being so cool and athletic my boys were jumping out of their seats with excitement. To be able to play drums on a dustbin like that! And the humour of the pink too-too and the ballet dancer was hilarious! In fact all the humour worked so well. The way the pace changed constantly was seemless and worked so well.
My partner and I really enjoyed the show. The music was excellent and the dancers were superb. The fusion and showcasing of both hip hop and ballet was very cleverly choreographed too. Highly recommend for lovers of ballet and hip hop.
Dancing, music and just great entertainment. Will be booking again
Fantastic show and well worth the money. The dancing was incredible and a great mix of talented performers! Everyone go and see this show you will not regret it! All the dancers gave 100% the entire way through, the dedication to making sure the audience had a great time was also wonderful!
The performance was a delightful spectacle of pour talent and skills, mixed with good humour and fun. Street dance and ballet entwined together doesn't sound as if it could work together... but it does work .. very well. I would recommend seeing Beats on Pointe.
I thought music was brilliant but there was no storyline.it was just a group of good dancers
great music, great mix of dancing and choreography
What a fantastic evening! high energy performances, funny, great dancing, I would love to see again, can't sing the casts praises too highly!!
Wow! What a great night out last night! Such a lively, 'feel good' show! I could not stop moving all night. This ballet, body-popping, breakdancing and beat-boxing extravangza was truly brilliant to watch. I could watch it a million times over! A fantastic birthday treat for me to spend with my family and friends. Thank you for making our night so memorable.
There was no story, just a lot of dance sequences. The ballet side in the second half was better than the first half but unfortunately they also ramped the sound up then which completely spoilt my enjoyment. I pity the ushers.
One of the best dance shows I've seen! Massively impressive street dance (including some awesome breaking) fused with elegant and technically brilliant ballet. Very inventive choreography/set pieces, including some really funny bits. And the most fun sound track ever! Totally recommend!!
What a fun time! The dancing was incredible, the music brought back many happy memories and the audience -- aged between three and eighty-three as far as I could see -- was very appreciative.
As a dancer myself, I know some dance shows can have dips in energy and choreography but it was thoroughly entertaining. The dancers are so talented! Lots of moments throughout the show that were “WOW” I wish I could buy a DVD! Very cleverly put together! It didn’t disappoint my expectation for ballet and hip hop to be fused! I loved all the pointe work! I would thoroughly reccomend this show!!! All ages in the audience too!
