Absolutely brilliant production. My children 10-15 were spell bound as was I. I hope it returns to this or another theatre next Christmas. It will be a wonderful treat for other families.

A good performance and well executed in a confined space. A little shouty ( pantomime) from some actors. It was slick ( and liked the dog) But.....where was the real magic!? It didnt surprise as much as we had hoped..

Fantastic staging in a fantastic venue, the 13yr old in the party loved it which was the point of the outing. Amazing at the end to see what a small cast it had. I remembered it from listening to the radio adaptation on Children's Hour and the introductory music has always caused a retrospective shiver. It was lovely to hear it used again here.

Fantastic play. Special effects were great. And they had the music from the BBC TV series. The venue is absolutely amazing and made the play even more magical.

Magical and quirky, a show that will remain in the memory for a long time. Wiltons' Music Hall was the perfect venue for this, old fashioned but not over-restored and the same could be said of the performance! The cast were energetic, the lighting and stage settings were so atmospheric. At times I wanted to 'BOO' the villains and cheer the heroes! This was a perfect start to Christmas and worth the journey from Dorset to see it. As great fans of the BBC version, we were a little unsure how this show would work but we were absolutely thrilled . Thank you.

An ingenious blend of magic and technical skill as a surprisingly small cast made an extraordinary number of quick changes in this dynamic and just perilous enough production

We came as two adults to experience a live performance in this wonderful theatre. The Box of Delights was a great children's show, probably for kids aged 9 or 10 and above, with a lively script and lots of ingenious stage effects. The staff were very welcoming and were able to give us lots of background information on the restoration work. A really enjoyable evening!

The play was magical and kept my 7 year old granddaughter transfixed. I was very disappointed that the £32 tickets involved a very tall man in front and a pillar so the 7 year old was on my lap for the whole performance. Luckily very still!

I loved it. From the moment I heard 'time and tide and buttered eggs' I knew I was in the right place. Box of Delights is one of my favourite books, and I was so pleased to see the charm was all there on stage. A brilliant cast too, especially Ms. Pouncer! And the carols, and the utterly gorgeous lighting! Wonderful.
