Winner of 4 Olivier Awards, including Best New Musical, Come From Away has taken the West End by storm. Playing to nightly standing ovations at London’s Phoenix Theatre, Come From Away also continues sold-out, record-breaking engagements on Broadway, across the USA and in Canada.
This joyous new musical shares the incredible real-life story of the 7,000 air passengers from all over the world that became grounded in Canada during the wake of 9/11, and the small Newfoundland community that invited these ‘come from aways’ into their lives.
As uneasiness turned into trust and music soared into the night, gratitude grew into friendships and their stories would become a celebration of hope, humanity and unity.
Awarded the Tony® Award for Best Direction of a Musical, Christopher Ashley’s production guides audiences through a colourful and spirited cast of characters, brought to life by Tony® and Grammy® nominated writing team Irene Sankoff and David Hein.
"This musical gets everything right. Irresistible and inspiring.” - The Times
"This miraculous masterpiece is totally, soul-feedingly wonderful." - Timeout
Excellent show. Outstanding story, brilliant performance by all cast members, and music that enhances the story.
Lovely show, would see again.
I cannot recommend this enough. Lovely to see such a diverse bunch of actors. I don't usually go to musicals, but this is one I would go to again. Feel good despite the subject.
Fantastic show / content and talent of performers.congratulations ! .worth coming from Australia to see
An amazing, emotional, funny show. Top class acting, a show that will stay in my memory or a very long time
Everyone should see this amazing view of 9/11 & all the lives involved
A must see before it is gone. Acting, singing, story are all very well done
Absolutely amazing, wonderful story and great songs and music.
This is an an omnibus of sorts where lots of different stories of the various people affected by the 9/11 is neatly packaged and retold. It's a very positive and uplifting one, notwithstanding the grim backdrop.
A fantastic cast, quite a different show but so enjoyable. No interval so story flowed.
My third visit to this wonderful show. Thought provoking celebration of human kindness in a world of increasing selfishness. Delivered by a wonderful cast!
A true story that I knew nothing about. Uplifting, showing the best of human nature. Great songs, fantastic performers, gripped from start to finish. Loved it.
You’ll leave the theatre with a little more kindness in your heart. A very warming experience.
Come From Away is a happy, fast, fun and above all, incredibly uplifting show. The only West End show I can remember where the standing ovation at the end was instantaneous and involved every member of the audience. If you can possibly find a way to see this show do so; you will not be disappointed.
Wonderful uplifting well executed very enjoyable would recommend.
This high energy show has you laughing crying and leaving the theatre on a high. Certainly a show to see twice
Do not miss this show
In just 100 minutes, Come From Away managed to crush my heart and then put it back together and both of that multiple times. There’s something I‘m taking home from this tonight, I can’t quite put it into words, but I am. Thank you, Islanders.
Wonderful, inspiring show, with great, true storyline. Singing, dancing and acting excellent and impressed by how the cast switched effortlessly between roles. Heartwarming and the audience, as one, jumped up at the end to give a rousing standing ovation!
Brilliant, uplifting insight into how a small town in Canada helped thousands of people from around the World when they were forced to land in Gander, Canada after 9/11. An outstanding cast - we laughed and cried along with them. The World can learn a lot from Gander residents; no bias, no prejudice just friendly openness, human kindness and generosity that knows no bounds.
Heartwarming, full of talent, world class.
Good fun. Really enjoyed it.
We were recommended to see this show and were not disappointed! We will be recommending it to others. It kept us enthralled from the start and the time just flew by! Foot tapping music and a beautiful scene using 'Make me a Chanel of your Peace' was very moving.
So uplifting at a time of international angst!
Excellent cast - such talent and energy. They took us on the emotional journey with them. Would highly recommend and we will definitely return. Thank you
Such a great show with interesting characters and unbelievably fantastic music. We loved it as a family and it was such a great evening out. Thank you cast.
We booked H25 an 26 in Dress Circle. Excellent view of the stage. It's an old theatre so leg room is fairly limited but I am 5'9" and I was ok. I didn't realise there was no interval so lucky I went to the ladies before it started! Excellent show and cast and musicians. Really enjoyed it and left feeling energised and thoughtful. Go and see it!
An amazing musical. The story is told very well and the actors are extremely talented. Only thing to note is that there was no interval, meaning the performance was 100 minutes straight, this did not impact my view of the performance. If anything it made it better as you did not forget any of the story line. Would highly recommend.
What a brilliant and heartwarming play! The talent of the entire cast was outstanding. The play was poignant, energetic, fast-paced, though not hectic. What a tribute to the kindness and resourcefulness of the Newfoundlanders who took in 7,000 frightened and sometimes angry people from around the world. Out of tragedy came the best of human nature. The performance was so good that I never even thought of an interval and certainly didn't miss one. There was no place where you could break the momentum of the play. Excellent and worth at least five stars.
My wife and I went to the show and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Amazing show. To tell a story with so little and make it do big. Loved every second!
I’ve been to see Come From Away twice - once from the stalls, and once from the front of the grand circle. Both views were amazing, so don’t worry if you can’t get stalk seats. The play is amazing and so cleverly done, and is worth seeing regardless of where you sit. It’s a truly heartfelt story and I already want to see it a third time. Absolutely brilliant
I have never enjoyed show as much before and I have seen many. Amazing.
The musical was fantastic.
One of the best shows I’ve seen in years . From start to finish I lived every second . The music is gorgeous and the acting is incredible. I loved it ! Go see it you will too !
My wife and I totally enjoyed the very professional performance. One of the very best plays we have seen.
Second time of seeing. Seems an unusual subject for musical but done brilliantly. Foot stomping music and enjoyable character stories.
Absolutely blown away by the show - incredible vocal and cast performance- can’t recommend it enough 🎭
The show was wonderful just the right mix of humour, sadness, reflection. I enjoyed every minute.
Very emotional, full of humour and sadness, made me cry few times. The story is told so wonderful and I felt and imagined every word. The stage is very simple, but the actors make it a live. It so well done, that grabs your attention from the beginning to the end. The songs are wonderful. My daughter loved it. She is 11, but she said it was her favourite, now she knows what really happened and understand how those horrible event brought people together with no matter of language, religion or background. They all were together in the sadness of the lost and celebration. Just amazing!
What an amazing play ! Reflecting the facts and significance of a major event. Beautifully told and uplifting, with wonderful singing and music. The actors and musicians were outstanding. Highly recommended.
I’m from Canada and a flight attendant. So emotional!! And so well done. Thank you for the tribute.
We were blown away ! It was an outstanding performance . We had to have a group hug at the end . Fantastic!
I have never experienced a reaction from an audience like it. Whole house on its feet in celebration of a winning combination of talent, musicality and humanity. Superb.
Fantastic show with great actors, music and choreography.
Didn’t really know what to expect with this play but had heard good things. It was fantastic and we really enjoyed it. All the performers were amazing, playing different parts seamlessly. Couldn’t recommend more.
Hi we were in last Saturday night. I had previously seen the show in Dublin and was delighted to bring my cousins from NZ to the London show. Well done to all it was still as fresh and uplifting as the first time I saw it regards Nyree Blackhall
An absolutely amazing show!! Would see it again and again!! Went with my best friend and it’s now our favourite show! Excellent momentum throughout and so much energy from the cast. It was just as good as we thought it would be and more! 100% would recommend!
Cannot recommend this more highly. A truely amazing story that really made me not only stop and think but also admire the people of Gander. Fantastic singing, dancing and humour. (All despite the incredible heat) Thoroughly enjoyed the performance.
