Knights Of The Rose reviews
What a fantastic evening! An excellent show, with lots of energy, humour and quality songs. The cast are really superb.
A fun and entertaining show, great acting and great voices
We loved it! Music was great and the singing was fab! Great night out.
Great acting & wonderful singing made watching this show a wonderful experience and one I already want to book again
It is difficult to leave the theater without a smile on your face The singers are amazing; the songs are excellent and the story is quite entertaining Really enjoyed the play
Fantastic theatre & the show was excellent from start to finish Great performance Storyline Music was excellent I would recommend this show
A very creative show in a cosy theatre. Amazing cast, great music. Wonderful. Will highly recomend.
Story ok. Really enjoyed the knight side but found the female side a little boring. Would have liked a little queen music and more battle. Vocals though were fantfantastic especially the king and two male lead knights.(prince and bad knight)
I really enjoyed this show, the Music and the singing was great
Was knocked out by every single singer in this performance. Scenery and effects were fantastic, especially the horse scene. I went as a Bon Jovi fan but was really impressed by the whole thing. Remember it's spoken as is Shakespeare plays.
Great show great music would love to see again
I thoroughly enjoyed this show. I found it moving & the music was fantastic. I love rock music & found the songs chosen for this show fitted in very well. I hope it returns for a longer run as I would go again.
Went for my birthday was an incredibly fun time. The cast are amazingly talented Romantic and action packed!
Please! Please Please booked this show now! It is an amazing show? brilliant vocals, and rock songs that you won't sit still in your seat for. The story is good, the music is fantastic, there's a live band playing. This is one you do not want to miss!! I would see it again and again. Sarah and Maria seat C15 C16.
Excellent vocals by all cast and spoken interplay quite good fun. the melodramatic choreography wad a bit distracting and school boyish.
It was fantastic Good laugh and great music
From the moment we arrived at the theatre, all the staff we encountered we helpful and friendly. Pre show drinks also good! We liked that the theatre was fairly small and intimate. The show was brilliant, the whole production well staged, story well written and the music was great. Absolutely best of all were each and everyone of the actors...very talented indeed and they all sang amazingly! We were super impressed! And would not hesitate to recommend them and the theatre, we had a great time! Please pass on our regards to the actors, they were fab! Karen and Dave Long (row L 9/10) :)
I enjoyed the Whole show. The music explained the story line well. The singers and band put their heart and soul into the entire performance.
What about amazing show. Full of action and great songs. Brilliant acting and singing by the fantastic actors.
Myself and my 2 friends really enjoyed the show. Great actors, all brilliant singers, and a cleverly managed story, sometimes funny, incorporating each song. . Thoroughly enjoyed show and would definitely go again
I had no idea what I going to see ,but really enjoyed it .its sort of based on Shakespeare’s type play with a story teller ,love ,war murder and a twist All backed up with some great songs Really worth seeing
One of the best shows I've seen. Real pleasure, the voices are amazing and the song choice is great. Thank you
It didn't know what it was supposed to be... a Shakespeare play, a comedy, amateur dramatic society effort... it is awful. Actors were wondering around because of awful dance routines. Fluffing lines, mic's not on, lighting wrong areas of the stage... I could go on... don't waste your money, don't see it !!!!
This was billed as a musical featuring epic rock ballads and the first half lived up to the mark but by the time we came to the second half, there were barely any epics at all and the musical morphed into a Shakespearean Paegeant with too many Shakespearean set speeches and Tudor dances. No idea whether this was a rights issue problem but if billed as an epic rock ballad musical that is what people expect and the plot could have delivered this but the play seriously lost its way after the first half. Production was high but at the expense sometimes of atmosphere - total eclipse of the heart ballad was brilliantly done but instead of milking this and allowing the audience to applaud the singers, the song was cut off by the king shouting and so no applause and no enjoyment of that ballad! Clumsy and badly thought out!
Very nice performance!
This was supposed to be a birthday treat for our rock-music-loving son-in-law, who at the interval said, "I'm so embarrassed to have chosen this show ... It's toe-curlingly awful." The entire show was more like an am-dram version of Monty Python's 'Spamalot'. The choice of music accompaniment was, for most of the show, so completely inappropriate as to be laughable. For a London show, the technical production was amateurish, to say the least. And to have a stage-hand trying to replace part of the scenery during the actual performance, was unbelievable. As for the dialogue, Shakespeare is probably turning in his grave! The only good things about the show were the performers' ability to sing well and the band were great. Apart from those, the whole show was dire, and whoever produced the posters and promotion for the show should be sued for false representation and advertising.
Enjoyable show in a small theatre.
