For anyone who grew up with a boyband comes The Band a new musical with a beautiful story by Olivier Award-winner Tim Firth and the music of Take That.
What Is The Band About?
1992. For five 16 year-old-girls, the band is everything. Later, after 25 years apart, the girls reunite and try one more time to fulfil the dream they had as teens: to finally meet the boyband whose music formed the soundtrack to their lives.
With music by Take That, the most successful British boyband of all time, The Band features songs like “Never Forget,” “Back for Good,” “Greatest Day,” “The Flood,” “A Million Love Songs,” “Shine,” “Relight My Fire,” and “Rule the World.”
After one of the most successful musical theatre tours ever, The Band transfers to London’s West End for only 50 performances. This Christmas, don’t miss your one chance to experience this sensational show.

Such a fabulous show such a great way of using the songs! Amazing view of the show and great actors very funny in points
OMG what an amazing show!!!! The acting was incredible, funny, sad and entertaining. The singing was incredible - they did Take That justice in this performance! Superb - 'a must see'
We really enjoyed the show. Great acting, we laughed and cried and of course brilliant music
This show was great . From the great effects at the beginning all the way through to the end - the high energy , talent , music ... totally feel good show . Can’t recommend it enough .
Thoroughly enjoyed this show. A fantastic storyline that really resonates with their fans... laughed, sang and cried along to this heartwarming and brilliant show
This production is fantastic, especially if you are of a certain age!!
Thought there would be more Take That music in the show, we never got to see the band perform. However the show did hang together very well.
Really enjoyed the show. Well made and entertaining. great special effects to
A really good play/musical. Very similar genre to Calender Girls! The music was great and a very slick performance by all. Some wonderful “Tim Firth” one liners
Great performance from all the cast. Story gave a feel good factor, bringing tears once or twice but leaving you on your feet dancing,
Wonderful wonderful fun show music actors orchestra fantastic have even booked too go again
This was one of the best shows I’ve seen!
5 of us ladies went to watch the band and had brilliant seats right at the front, brilliant show we all had such a good night, loved the girls story and to hear all take that songs made our Tuesday night, worth the tired Wednesday morning getting up for work 🥰
An unusual musical story, in which the audience is taken into the imagination of a group of 16 year olds.
Loved everything about the show .. a must for Take That fans
Thoroughly enjoyable, I laughed and cried then left the theater feeling I had experienced a good night out. I would recommend this show.
Didn’t expect it to be so emotional but absolutely loved the story. The music was obviously great but the signing voices of the cast were amazing. Fantastic show would love to see it again x
What a fantastic evening, this has all the emotions , laughs tears and the joy. A fantastic way to spend the evening
A very entertaining and enjoyable night out reliving the days of my youth with a constant flow of Take That hits. The storyline was engaging and did more than just supplement the songs and dances of yesteryear! An extended run is called for to satisfy the middle age audience of, predominantly, the fairer sex!
Great show with a good storyline. Was a little bit worried when booking it but we were in the Roysl Circle Riw D and had a fantastic view. Great music and a great night out!
A fantastic performance by everyone , truly five star show!
I was disappointed that the story held together by the songs was quite limp. The production, considering Take That's input and their very professional and impressive staging of their concerts, seemed not as sharp or professional as other West End shows. The sound was terrible. Glad I didn't pay top whack prices for tickets.
Something a bit different, good story line. Worth going to see once.
Went to the show not quite sure what to expect, but by the interval I was sure this is one of the best shows currently running in the west end! The set is very imaginative and quite frankly, I loved this show and with a relatively small cast, this show will have you up from your seat and dancing at the finale. Great uplifting show, which plays on the emotions throughout. Go see it!
Great show, wonderful theatre.
Wonderful performance, the girl into women were brilliant. It goes without saying that the music was fantastic. We loved every moment of it
Weak story ,singing along to taped music...……. as no live band. Many in the audience loved it we didn't
My husband and I agreed that this was one of the best musicals we have seen in recent years. The storyline and acting, the band and music, were just fabulous. I was emotionally drawn into the story and came out on a high! Top marks!
Utterly amazing such a feel good factor. We left the theatre on a complete high ! Audience singing and dancing to the end brilliant !! Well done Gary Barlow for producing and sharing such a great show.
I wasn’t really sure what to expect as I’d booked the tickets because I liked Take That. The story was brilliant! It was funny, sad, and emotional all in one. The acting was excellent and it was really great to see ‘normal’ women in a West End production. Every actor was convincing and brought their characters to life. The sets were fantastic. Very cleverly done. I always judge a play/musical by whether or not I notice the time pass: I didn’t have a clue with this one as it totally consumed all my attention. I would thoroughly recommend it!
Show had everything, Humour, emotion and good singing. Don’t have to be a take that fan to enjoy this show
I loved this show. Well worth a visit
This was a birthday present from my sister it was brilliant we really enjoyed it thanks sis
My daughter and I really loved The Band. It had everything laughter, sadness and great songs. We both loved it from start to finish and was still singing the songs on the train on our way home. Brilliant would highly recommend.
The show was fantastic from start to finish, I laughed, cried and sang my heart out. I took my daughter who isn’t old enough to remember the hysteria surrounding Take That, the story isn’t about them it just involves their music, and she said it was one of the best musicals she had seen. Would thoroughly recommend this musical to anyone
Would just say my partner totally loved take that as a girl and she total feel in love with the show and the girls story she totally realated to the story line was fantastic to Gary Barlow should be knighted for is contribution to music and now theatre a very happy Christmas present for my partner and me but would be a great New Years present for anyone else In 2019 happy new year ❤️🎄
The cast and the music was phenomenal. Toe tapping all the way through. What away to spend Christmas Eve.
Second time of seeing this show, was outstanding as before and made me cry again ! Well done to all the cast
Funny, sad, fantastic music, awesome
Saw the show last night ( thurs ),for my wife's birthday, absolutely brilliant, Finished at a proper time, enabling us to catch the 10.20 to Reading, home, from W loo, brilliant evening
Fabulous show...it took me back to my teenage years. The boys who played "the boys" had fantastic voices.
Fantastic. Amazing cast and show. A story that so many can resonate with. If you love the music of take that and have a brilliant group of friends, this is a must.
I went with my daughter yesterday. We absolutely loved it . Lovely story and it was filled with laughter and great music. Loved the dancing and sing along at the end . Brilliant show all round 😄p
Great show, good acting, great music, good story line, would recommend.
We had a nice evening not sure what I was expecting- I actually think the girls/ladies sung better than the boys. One of the boys pronouncingnation was a bit off. A good show
Easy to watch, great if you like Take That music. The plots a bit thin but it’s acted with enthusiasm.
Really great show. Great cast Such a great story but emotional.
