All Or Nothing - The Mod Musical - Ambassadors Theatre
All Or Nothing - The Mod Musical - Ambassadors Theatre
1965. A new phenomenon erupted out of London’s East End. It was the essence of all that was cool. It was Mod.
All Or Nothing– The Mod Musical follows the rise and demise of Small Faces, the band who encapsulated all that was mod – a unique blend of taste and testosterone, clothes-obsessed and street-wise – but most of all, a dedication to rhythm ‘n’ blues.
This stunning new home-grown musical celebrates the unique mod sound including an arsenal of brilliant hits like Whatcha Gonna Do About It, All Or Nothing, Tin Soldier, Lazy Sunday, Here Comes the Nice and Itchycoo Park.
Having played to packed houses and standing ovations across the UK, All Or Nothing – The Mod Musical is home in London, playing a limited season at The Ambassadors Theatre until 12 May 2018.

Very good storyline, well put together showing the history of the Small Faces. Good casting, especially the young man who played Stevie Marriott. We have seen Jersey Boys and Beautiful in the last couple of years and the production of them were superb. This was slightly below that level, but that may be because of the budget that was available was less and playing on a smaller stage. A big congratulations to Carol Harrison though for this production. Well done.

A well written account of an enjoyable part of my youth. An original concept with the ghostly narrator pulling it all together. The cast seemed to be enjoying it as much as the audience who were rocking in their seats for most of the show. As a lot of us in the audience were around in the sixties, I think I can safely say the production was factually authentic especially the dress etc. One of the best shows we have ever seen, such a pity it has had such a short run!

Fantastic MUSIC & atmosphere. The portrayals of Ronnie, Ian & Kenney were good, but the one of Steve Marriott was BRILLIANT - all the actions, movements and attitude seemed to capture the essence of our beloved Magik Mijit! Such wonderful times with such a tragic ending - but All or Nothing brings those superb memories back to life - You'd Better Believe It!!!

This was a fabulous show. The music, the acting, the characters - were all superb. Shows exactly how the bands in the 60s had to cope with the music business as an industry and how they got totally ripped-off by managers and agents, when all they wanted to do was create music. An emotional rollercoaster of humour and sadness received with a standing ovation at the end.

What is amazing is that these young musicians singers and actors created a spectacle from an era they weren’t born in. Great true story and gutsy dialogue. Music played with passion. Great for those to relive the time and for young people to enjoy real music

Had an excellent time at the All or Nothing concert, thought it was a really good show, apart from the smallness of the theatre which we didn't have a particularly good view, but nevertheless very good show.

Didn’t know much about the Small Faces but this musical was a great way to learn about the Mods, cleverly shown through the eyes of Steve Marriott. Cast had loads of energy, music was excellent. Quite touching too. Would recommend.

Nothing more to say than what an excellent performance. As a grumpy 62 year old who has seen dozens of musicals in my time (albeit most were great as well), I can honestly say this was up with the best. Stirling performances by absolutely everybody. Well done and thank you for providing such a fantastic performance. PS the ladies weren't half stunning ( not that I was looking of course) which put the icing on the cake. My wife and I wish every single one of you all the best in your future careers. xxx

A small cast who were superb, alternating roles. Music performed well, colourful set, extremely funny in places and also sad. Portrayed the story of The Small Faces well and stayed true to the MOD genre with a nod to how the world was then. I have several friends who saw this production before us and they all say they'd see the show again. So would we, the cast truly deserved the standing ovation. It was certainly not a nothing show but All 'A's' and 'A pluses'.

The show last night was stunning, all the Marriotts were first class, as was the hole cast, felt like I was actually watching the real band. Love the smaller theatres.

We absolutely thoroughly enjoyed the musical yesterday. It took us back to our youth as we were strong Small Faces fans. The music played and sung very well. Our front rows seats were great. Lived it and loved it all. We actually went to The Wykeham hall in Romford. This is said like Wick!! Not as said in show. If you could get them to say it right it'd make all the difference to all of us who lived in this era. The musicians, dancers, actors singers were all to be applauded.. Thank you all for a marvellous treat for my sister's birthday.

The theatre was well positioned, directly opposite The Ivy where we had dinner. However, inside was a huge shock, or should I say tiny shock. The circle bar was the size of our bathroom with one table and 2 chairs and drinks were in plastic cups. We had front row circle seats which should have been great considering the price but not one person could squeeze them self into their seat without considerable pain to their legs and feet. The saving grace was the show which did not deserve this terrible venue. It was amazing; singing was as good if not better than the original and all actors, singers and dancers were brilliant. They definitely deserved a better backdrop setting- and so did we! £78 was a joke for that theatre.

Absolutely fabulous show - the live band is brilliant! The whole cast are incredibly talented and gave the show 100% even though it was a weekday matinee and we loved the audience singalong at the end : )
