I was very happy with the booking system and collection of tickets at the front desk, but was disappointed about the show itself as apart from the show homes and show rooms, I found the overall quality of stalls and vendors quite unwelcoming and unhelpful

The worst home show I have never seen. Very cheap stuff, you can find in any market. Definetely not worth the money.

I've been going to this event since I was in my twenties. I feel it's changed a lot. The smaller stalls upstairs have nothing different. There used to be a lot of unique pieces before like statues and home made sauces and spices. Now it's all very commercial and all about hair, nails and face which I have no interest in.

Very disappointed with the IHE. Some years ago I purchased a clothes presser at the IDE and wanted a new one this year. There was nothing there for me to make a choice from.

I was a bit dubious about booking on line as I have never done it before because there are so many fake site who would take your money and basically run. I was happy with the service and u will definitely revisit

Not being a regular visitor I don't know when it all went wrong but it's certainly neither ideal or much to do with the home either. The whole of the second floor is one half food stalls (with insufficient seating) and then a bizare range of 'health and beauty' tat - including teeth whitening machines that you could try (yes really!) - and various market stalls of clothes that were neither unique or interesting. On the first floor were a few 'designed' rooms but you'd see better, more and get more inspiration in Ikea, M&S or any other high street furniture store. Ditto for bathrooms and kitchens. Overall, wholly uninspiring and a complete waste of time. You'd do better to visit a bathroom/kitchen/bedroom showroom for more choice and inspiration. The only exception was the company showing a variety of garden offices/conservatories. They'd taken the time to put up and fully show their products and must have been pretty disappointed to find themselves amongst such poor quality offerings. A lesson learnt and I certainly won't be returning or recommending.

Disappointed with the day to be honest Food outlets were poor quality and lacked seating but very expensive. Staff seemed fed up and mostly disinterested. I waited to be acknowledged for a good three minutes whilst the staff were talking to each other about private matters At the Hot tub section we looked in astonishment that 5 of the staff were too busy playing on their mobile phones to notice us. We walked away shaking our heads and will buy a hot tub from somewhere else. Another issue was that quite a few of the outlets didn’t have prices displayed which is okay if it’s a boot sale but not really in keeping with the ideal home exhibition at the world renowned Olympia lol Finally we queued up for the free goody bag and we’re told it had run out of stock and to go to the other end of the building which we did straight away only to be told it was closed because they had run out This was at 5pm We were not amused but not surprised to be honest as it was par for the course as to how the venue was being run Friends of ours visited the week before and said they were disappointed and we thought it was just them being funny but having witnessed it first hand we should have listened to them and not gone. We would have saved ourselves a couple of hundred pounds and a horrendous train journey in the freezing cold

Sadly the show has really deteriorated in standard. I had gone to look at some modern contemporary furniture but there was very little on display. Incredibly disappointing and it has put me off going in the future!

Good but have been to better. Not many show homes to look round this year. But some good ideas for the modern day living and how to use floor and wall tiles. Food area upstairs was full of flavour. Good price on cafe downstairs for steak pie and mash.

I was extremely disappointed in the show houses this year. There was only one real house whereas in the past there have been 4 big houses for the public to view. The variety of exhibitors was very narrow. I was looking for log burners and failed to find any. The food hall was great with plenty of variety and types of food on offer. However I purchased my lunch, sat down to eat it on the straw bales to be entertained by a Michelin Star Chef only to watch her making oat cakes which my 8 year old granddaughter could make. I shall not be returning next year.

Quite disappointed with the show overall. Hardly any room sets, but lots of 1980s style leather sofas and bizarrely lots of massage chair/therapy retailers. Highlight would have to be the food fair (which was not the reason we went)

I enjoyed attending the event this year. I had been a little dubious, as I felt last year's show was a little flat. however it definitely had some of its mojo back.

Pretty disappointed with the show, especially the show homes which were poorly appointed, and did not showcase anything startling which they should surely ! Having said that there were some interesting exhibits although pretty similar stuff on show.

Being 8yrs since we have visited the ideal home show we were really impressed by the lay out of the venue. The stands were well spaced and the colleagues knew what they were talking about, there was no um's and er's. A great day

The seating for food consumption has improved on last year. The good old favourites in drinks ie green van still there offering reasonable price for great cider and beer. However we felt that the kitchen equipment and innovation stalls priced themselves out of sales with most costing ten pounds for items not worth over five especially overpriced the thirty four pound toilet spatula.

Completely useless. Only 2 show houses (they were no bigger than garages) No flooring, very few appliances. I have been going for around 25 years but this year was so poor I will never go again. A waste of 2 hours (which was all it took to look around!)

1st time at the Ideal Home Show. Lovely day, not too crowded able to stroll around easily. Products on the stalls priced really well, lots of things just £10 Tea and coffee very expensive though. Took our own sandwich. Will definitely go next year.

The Ideal Show Home was, as usual, good with lots of stalls and some lovely ideas to create your Ideal Home. Plenty of seats, places to eat and clean Toilet facilities. Lots to see and do there

It had been along time between visits. We were hoping for some new ideas, and innovations, but there wasn’t really anything there I haven’t seen pretty much on the high street. There was only one show home, and almost all of the upper floor was given over to stalls selling food, clothing, or beauty products. All of which I would have expected to see in a ‘lifestyle’ exhibition.

Great show, picked up some really good ideas as well as some good products. My granddaughters had a poem written for them by the bank stand and it was wonderful.

Totally not worth to pay £12 for this, it's should be for free and even then it wouldn't worth. The upper floor all rubbish and apart from the little houses on main floor, nothing else.. Never again..

I had been to the Ideal Home every year when it was held at Earls Court. This was my first year attending with it being held at Olympia. I would have to say that I was very disappointed in the show, the stands were too close together and the general layout was less than impressive. Unfortunately I doubt whether I will go next year

We came to the Ideal Home Show in the hope of finding inspiration for a home having been several years ago when the show was vibrant and interesting we found little to inspire Russ and far fewer exhibitors than in previous years coming from outside London the access left a lot to be desired we will not be attending the show again.

We went to the show looking for ideas for our next home. We were disappointed that there were so few stands that could help yet so many selling beauty products and fashion items. It was also so busy it was difficult to walk round to see the exhibitors.

After not going to this event for a few years was disappointed with what was there. I used to go every year but found the last few times I went was so so. But thought I would give it another go, not much variety. Food tasting was minimal, cafés very expensive, and not many show homes. Won't be rushing back also everything seemed squashed in, much more room at Earls Court.

We went to the show in march but was a little disappointed with it last year had more variety of products this year was more stands of the same items especially furniture.

I felt it was set out better this year , the only thing is due to it being a long day it could do with more setting for you to have a drink or rest. We found it to be very enjoyable.
Very Disappointed
Mar 25, 2018
I was overall disappointed with the Ideal Home and will not be going again. This was the first visit after a number of years, and it has clearly changed a lot. Nothing inspirational, all very high street, and the upper floor which used to be great, was not. I dont go to a home show to buy clothes or skin care or teeth whitening.
