Following their smash hit run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2017 and fresh from their performance on ITV’s Royal Variety Performance, Circus Abyssinia makes its London premiere at Underbelly Festival for six weeks only. An unashamedly joyful mix of astonishing stunts, astounding circus skills and enchanted adventure, Circus Abyssinia: Ethiopian Dreams follows the magical journey of two little Ethiopian brothers, Bibi & Bichu, who dream of joining the circus.
Featuring high-flying acrobatics, death-defying tricks, clowning and towering feats of strength all performed to a thumping Ethiopian dance beat, this adrenaline-filled show is fun for all the family.
Featuring the inimitable Konjowoch Troupe, this is an incredible retelling of how the cast dreamed of the circus in a country without one and created a phenomenal new Ethiopian tradition.

From start to end it was brilliant. All the performances were great. The music was fantastic. The whole experience very uplifting. Wonderful atmosphere. Everybody was having an amazing time.

I loved the music brought a breath of fresh air! Although I did wanna get out my seat and dance! Was in stitches when the clown came on! Had to keep hiding behind my son with all them bendy ladies! What a performance! I would defo see them again!

This show was incredibly entertaining the whole way through. The skill and strength of the performers is fascinating to watch. The music was incredible, very happy and uplifting. Definitely worth watching!

Was just perfect for an hours entertainment. All performers were extremely smiley, leaving you in a smiley, positive mood! The acts were charming, funny and impressive and I especially loved the Ehtiopian music/dancing.

The venue was not what I expected. I was surprised to see how small the venue was. I guess I had no clue what the underbelly meant. The beginning of the show was a bit boring but the end was amazing. More of a kids event. Would have been better if it was an outside event.

The Circus Abyssinia was quite the most extraordinary and exciting thing I have seen in a long time, Such physical strength, , control and dignity was very humbling. The gymnasts were so happy to share their skills and their joy in their work was so infectious.

Watching the Circus Abyssinia was truly a breath of fresh life. The sheer skill, rhythm and excitement they had on stage was out of this world. watching in in such an intimate setting you really felt engaged with the performance.

Underbelly festival is a great attraction on the South bank. Circus Abyssinia was a fantastic hour of acrobatics, juggling, contortionists and dance. A real treat for the whole family. Best word to describe the show. Wow!
