What Is Company About?
At her 35th birthday party, all Bobbi’s friends wonder why she isn’t married. Why is it she can’t seem to find the right man, settle down, and start a family? Understudy was a weak singer. Show overall was excellent. Pity Robert Bloch
Why have I only got round to seeing this in its last week! It’s so amazing and truly funny, definitely worth a watch, made me really feel what each character was going though and how time and relationships change everything, the actors are all so good, not forgetting how fit Jonny Bailey is of course! ❤️❤️🧡🧡😊😊😊😊😂😂
Singing was great but some numbers went on too long. Story didn’t really go anywhere. So pleased Mel was in it as it was a matinee. Air conditioning in grand circle was freezing. Spoilt experience. 2nd half better than the first. Some scenes very funny, some boring.
Brilliant. Exhilarating experience fantastic cast and enthusiastic audience
Fabulous can’t fault it
Best thing I’ve seen in years!
My girlfriends and I went for matinee show & it’s was quite full house. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, clapping hands and cheering. We liked the theatre too, it’s like walking down more than 100 year old memory lane browning history of the building.
A wonderful experience. Attended matinee show & loved every minute. The theatre staff were so welcoming . The set design was so cleverly arranged and manoeuvred. The cast were brilliant. So very talented. Hearty congrats to one & all. The only wee blip ( & nothing can be done about it as the theatre is so old) was lack of leg room in the seating box area. My own fault as booked at last minute .
We were very disappointed and ended up leaving at the interval.
Loved it so funny and amazing xxx
From the amazing casting to the inventive staging this production of Company was a joy. Jonathan Bailey’s comic timing was spot on. The Legend That is Patti Lupone stoke every scene she was in. Rosalind Craig as Bobbi was the perfect straight woman surrounded by her crazy friend. I honestly can’t fault this show and it’s a shame it’s only a short run as every theatre goer needs to see this show. 5 stars!!!
Staff very helpful and friendly especially when they allowed me to leave a ticket at collection point for a friend running late. Theatre was lovely, clean and plenty of drinks available at bar. Could’ve had a better system set up for queuing at bar at the interval. Show was slow to start put picked up quickly. Would recommend to anyone for a light hearted musical with a story
Superb mix of comedy and excellent musical numbers
A very enjoyable show very fast moving and if you like american type shows based on life for a single 35 well worth seeing.
I came from Manchester for the day to see the show after hearing from friends how great it was and I was not disappointed. From start to finish it was amazing. The gender reversal added so much to an already favourite show of mine and the staging was out of this world. If I had the time, or lived in London, I would definitely see it again - oh for a tour! Or a cinema release.
We actually left at the interval as neither of us had been particularly inspired by the production. This is not to say that there were no good moments; just not enough to keep us eagerly awaiting the other side of the interval! The audience generally seemed to be enjoying it very much so it is always better not to take too much notice of individual review but to go along and make up your own mind.
Amazing sets, superb production, change of gender perspective worked seamlessly, cast were incredible and thanks to them for making my wife’s birthday present so memorable. Go see it before it comes off and enjoy a really fantastic evening!
Amazing cast deliver a fabulous show, laugh out loud crazy. It's brilliant, I would highly recommend.
A great show, full of energy and performed well by the cast. We really enjoyed the whole thing.
This was a great performance for the singing voices of the cast. I thought the story was a bit lacking but not their fault. Well acted very funny and very enjoyable
Amazing performances, design and direction fabulous. Absolutely stunning production. A must see before it closes
On the whole I did enjoyed Company but due to being deaf (I do wear hearing aids) I found the American accents difficult which of course spoiled the overall enjoyment.
Performances were swell...wonderful to hear that great score superlatively played... But I want to know one thing...despite a lovely performance by ms craig...I had no feeling or investment in Bobbie. I believe it’s because this is a period piece, pre-aids, when single men in NY were happily promiscuous, kids in a candy store... & the choice to settle down at 35 for all the challenges of intimacy was perhaps more interesting and the journey to intimacy more poignant... I still don’t quite get exactly what ms. Bobby wants...she seems to just observe through her friends what she doesn’t want... ‘WOW’... What current feminine blocks to intimacy could be explored here, or even more interestingly...what are the fem reasons for staying single? I simply didn’t know who this Bobbie was as she just seemed to be reacting to her friends the whole show rather than stating her own case.... If I don’t much care for a character’s journey, then no matter how accomplished the performance is, my heart is not invested & it’s that investment that makes Theatre so rewarding for me.
Excellent clear understanding of the concept delivered with humour and skill . The staging was thoughtful and imaginative. What skill with the prewedding scene in the kitchen
This show was amongst the best productions of musical theatre I have ever seen. It well deserved its standing ovation at the end.
Great
Very good acting, very slick, funny in places, however just not my sort of thing. I left in the interval, didn't want to watch any more.
Brilliant show.
A very good show with a good cast. I am familiar with Mel and Richard but not so much the other members. All the American accents were good.
I completely messed up our booking, wanting the tickets for Saturday, 9th February and, by mistake, booked them for Saturday, 16th February. However, the wonderful Michael Rogers, Box Office Manager, came up absolutely trumps, by not only reassuring me that my mistake wasn't unusual, but also by supplying my husband and me with a free programme and very much better seats for 9th February. A very big thank you to him.
I love COMPANY and saw the last West End (Donmar Warehouse) production twice, so I had high expectations, and was intrigued by the gender change in the leading character. This production is definitively superb. It looks and sounds marvellous: set, staging, band and all the fab cast. It's a hugely enjoyable musical for grown-ups, tuneful, wry, witty, knowing about modern life and relationships. Forget the poperettas and tribute shows. See COMPANY. The sold-out matinée I saw yesterday gave it a standing ovation. You'll do the same. See it.
Loved every minute of Company - incredible performances - want to see it again!
Excellent production with fast moving script and humour
We really enjoyed the show, very good individual performances.
Fantastic show, cast, staging, everything was amazing! Couldn’t recommend it enough!
Loved the set, great design and very imaginative. Unfortunately this is the best thing about the show. The songs very forgettable although belted out well by the actors. The premise 35 and unmarried,” poor girl”, all my friends have partners or are married and nearly forgot the sterothypical gay camp couple. This said the theatre had a full house so maybe only grumpy old me did not find it funny or enjoy the songs.
The set and technical side were amazing. The actual actors’ performances were good. Though the show was stopped and the character of Peter changed, and the voiceover said the show was stopped to technical difficulties? The actual storyline was a bit confusing and some scenes did not make sense and made it drag on a bit.
We found Compnay was an all around delight. We laughed out loud for most of the show, the music was incredible and we were so impressed with the use of staging. Rosalie Craig, and Jonathon Bailey particularly shone in this production, but the whole cast were brilliant. It felt relevant to our times, and was very relatable as a single women. Bobbie is a character I think we can all understand and empathise with, and she's just brilliant. If you go and see one show this year go see Company.

It has been a long time I have not enjoyed a show so much! Company is a pure pleasure. Brilliantly played and staged. The orchestra is very good too. I strongly recommend to men and women who are married, single, with partners... Sure they will all identify themselves at some moments of their life.
Possibly the best show I've seen in the West End for 20 years. Wonderful sets, magnificent cast, every one of them and great music. This reworking of Sondheim's masterpiece really works and brings everything up to date making it so relevant. I'm going again and can't wait.
possibly one of the best shows i have ever seen. The Acting First Class
Having read up about the show I had no expectations as to the look and staging of this production, what a fabulous heart felt funny show, cast were incredible with some very funny songs, if you have never seen this show then it’s amust while your in London The lead who plays bobby is fabulous and not forgetting the incredible Patti lapon who stole the show with ladies who lunch wow wow wow A MUST
Fantastic show and a must see. Hilarious and moving with a stellar cast - can’t wait for the soundtrack. Such a clever production
Conceptually brilliant. Stunning production, a great cast- and Patti Lupone! What more could you ask for?
Great show. cast, music and choreography where amazing.
This is probably one of the best shows curentlty in the west end. Great cast, so cleverly updated and clearly directed by a clever woman. Loved the staging too. Sondheim ‘s original music and concept not compromised this modern and deliciously funny version. Well done! I really recommend you see it. I am going again!
One of the best musicals you will ever see
