What Is TINA About?
Rock legend Tina Turner has won 11 Grammy Awards. Her live concerts have been seen by millions. She’s sold more concert tickets than any other solo performer in music history. But where did the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll get her start?
TINA, The Tina Turner Musical traces the rockstar from her humble beginnings in Nutbush, Tennessee, all the way through to her transformation into an icon of the music world. Presented in association with Turner herself, this new musical tells the story of a woman who didn’t just break the rules, but rewrote them – defying the bounds of age, race, and gender time and time again.

What an amazing performance! The cast was phenomenal and the story was incredible. Highly recommend everyone seeing this production.
I'm normally not a great lover of musicals but I absolutely loved this.
Fabulous! One of the best shows I’ve seen. The whole cast were great and the main singer was amazing, as was the young girl who played Tina as a child. Would highly recommend. The atmosphere in the Aldwych Theatre was electric with everyone singing along at the end. Definitely 5 stars.
Excellent show with a brilliant cast. Without doubt, a must see show.
Very disappointed with this show as was expecting it to be so much better. To be honest it was like 50/50. 50% amazing and 50% so boring I kept on nodding off. The actress that played Tina Turner was amazing with a beautiful voice and really sounded like Tina Turner but the show was really dragged out.
Amazing show, didn't know what to expect but was blown away the singing, so like Tina. Brought back brilliant memories of the concert we saw in 1996. Definitely recommend anyone to go and see it.
The show was excellent, the cast were brilliant. I would not hesitate to recommend this show to anyone. Absolutely electric. My only criticism is the staff at the theatre. If anyone moved, clapped or showed any signs of enjoying themselves. The paying customer were immediately told to be quiet and sit still. At times there were several members of staff standing behind us 'keeping guard'. It felt like we were living in a dictatorship...
This show is amazing. It captures your imagination from start to finish. The storytelling is great, and you feel involved every step of the way. It's like being at a concert with some drama thrown in as well. In the end you feel that you are watching Tina Turner. Right from the lead down the whole cast is wonderful.
One lf the best shows I have ever seen! Highly recommended!
Absolutely brilliant show...
Brilliant show ,best musical iv seen ,would love to see it again .
The perdformance was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed it However, we were shocked and disappointed to be told at the bar during the interval that we would not be served - nobody could tell us why or for what reason . Later we were told that it was a case of mistaken identity, but by then our evening had been ruined . My girlfriends mother had travelled all the way to London from Exeter and was almost reduced to tears about how we were treated at the bar - publicly humiliated by being told we would not be served. This ruined our evening and having spent almost £ 600 on 3 tickets , it’s torally unnacepitable and very embarrassing. Overall we were left feeling very upset about the whole situation.
Brilliant performance, loved the show
Show was good but all the staff at the theatre were really rude
Tina Turner was best musical I’ve seen for a while. The singer was truly magical and brought goosebumps to us. Would highly recommend
Unfortunately I missed the musical, my father in law was taken unexpectedly ill and rushed to A&E! I had rung the theatre to check if the tickets could be honoured but to no avail! Kinds regards
Always been fan of Tina Turner music great musical enjoyed every bit of it
Probably the best show which we have been attended. The participants were great and the person that played the lead role was wonderful. A superb show and great entertainment,
One of my favourite ever shows, energy and vocals were superb! Would think she was actually singing herself brilliant!
What a fantastic show. Brilliant cast, energy off the scale. Front row seats were a bonus but the performances raised the roof. A must for any Tina or music fan. If in doubt...do it!
If you like Tina Turner then this show is a must. Particularly liked the second half.
I loved this show. I was happy and sad and emotional at times. All cast was great. What I didn't like was the wig. The Tina wig was very false looking as if it was not a good fit. The 2nd, was the lighting at times was at an angle where Tina looked like she was wearing a beard. But overall, a brilliant show. Well done.
Cast were amazing. The story depicted Tina Turner's life beautifully. The show had you gripped from start to finish. Will go again.
The best just the best Brilliant the way it's done about a brilliant person. But done by brilliant people. First class can't say enough about the show. Thank you.
Wow! Just fantastic! Adrienne is beyond superb; so fantastically talented. The abusive relationship, between Tina and Ike, was not shied away from and handled sensitively, but incorporated the shock and rightful, horror that should be evoked. Often in musicals, the drama suffers a little, against the singing and dancing, but the acting was incredible; the end of the first half, found my sister and me, with tears streaming. The singing, energy and show is beyond awe inspiring. The end show has people on their feet singing and dancing and g8v8ng a standing ovation- richly deserved. If you haven't seen this show- then go. Thank you cast- especially the wonderful Adrienne.
Excellent performance by the whole cast.Wasn,t sure when they asked us not to sing along but actually it made it more enjoyable as we were able to take everything in plus you can sing along at the end which was amazing.Fabulous show could definitely watch it again.Well done !!!!
The show was excellent, but quite 'raw' at the beginning depicting the hardships a young girl like Tina was exposed to in Tennessee pre-WW2. The music was great and the last 3 or 4 songs really made the theatre rock!
Knowing the story and the music I was concerned that we might be disappointed in the experience of the performance, however it was absolutely wonderful. The story was well told and the songs & music were performed to the highest standard. A must visit.
Cannot wait to go back. The female lead is so realistic you can almost imagine you really are watching Tina herself. A totally fantastic production with an amazing cast. You'll regret it if you don't go, a must for Tina fans and those who love a musical.
This show has been on my bucket list for sometime and it did not disappoint. Great reminidition of this iconic legend
Excellent show - strong performance and voices and well told story.
Great show fabulous energy bouncing along from start to finsh
Absolutely fabulous... Fun night out.
What an amazing show it’s a must see !
Absolutely the best musical I have seen.the actress who played Tina was outstanding.well worth the money when you see a show as good as that
Vibrant ,great content ,choreography complemented by a standing ovation . Absolutely loved it !
I took my mum for her mother’s day present as I have seen this before. It is the best show ever and anyone thinking of going should book it. The cast are brilliant and the girl that plays Tina is outstanding.
Such a good show, amazing cast, throughly recommend!
Amazing show that out performed our expectations, a really top quality show that flowed brilliantly from the very start. Very much a true story line on Tina's life. We loved it from vocals to dance routines and all joining in at the end to singalong. A truly great night to end our little holiday.
One of the best shows I’ve seen everyone puts their heart and soul into it
A look at the real Tina Turner. Exciting, sad, up on your feet dancing, every emotion going. The cast were brilliant, the leading lady’s voice was amazing. I am not a Tina fan but wouldn’t have missed this for the world
Absolutely fantastic show on Saturday matinee 16/03/19. Best show I have ever seen from start to finish and outstanding performance by Adrienne Warren.
I cannot put into words just absolutely amazing this show is! I first came to see it last summer and was blown away! So much so I booked again to take my mum for her birthday. The show was just as fabulous the second time round. Adrienne Warren is outstanding as Tina. Without any doubt the best show I have ever seen!
What a great show, loved every minute of it, It felt like a show and a concert rolled into one.
Great performance from all the cast. Musical to get the audience bouncing. Entertaining Lively Bang on. A must see
Absolutely brilliant! From beginning to end! Fabulous!
