What Is The Phantom Of The Opera About?
Lurking deep beneath the lavish Paris Opera House lives the Phantom. Ashamed of his physical deformities and an object of intense fear among the public, he lives in the shadows. The Phantom has one companion, Christiane Daae, his protégée and the object of his obsessive love.
The Phantom of the Opera is gloriously grand in style. The show's immensity of its plot, its scenery and, of course, its music, has drawn over 100 million people worldwide to see it. Powerful narrative and traditional illusion have come together to create the most successful theatre show in history.

Tickets were easily booked and box office staff were friendly and helpful. We were lucky enough to receive an upgrade to our seats which made the experience much more memorable. The cast were brilliant and did not disappoint at all. Phantom is my favourite opera and I loved every minute of it.
An amazing show with brilliant acting! Well recommended
Oh my goodness, I absolutely loved this!!! My first time and I’m so happy that it was in London. Thanks for such a wonderful show!
Great voices, especially Christine
Highly recommend it's fantastic♥️
From what I could hear (because our view was obstructed) the music and vocals were very good. Seating in the Grand Circle should be staggered to allow all patrons to enjoy the view of the whole stage.
My husband and I saw this show over 20 years ago and it is still as fantastic now and it was then!
Christine is so gifted with an amazingly wonderful voice. Massive wow! And the voice of Phantom and Christine are the real voices of All I Ask that I listen to on youtube.
Really enjoyed the performance- lovely voices of main characters. Great stagecraft. Theatre very aged with no lifts. Very difficult for aged or disabled. No handrails to hold on very steep steps-really dangerous- would not us this theatre again.
An absolute brilliant performance by all the cast, so fortunate to see Tim as the Phantom before his run finishes this week. Such passion. The forth time I’ve seen the show and it still moves me to tears. Well done everyone.
Just brilliant, keep us enthralled throughout the entire performance.
Special effects and stage management were superb. Acting, music and singing were fabulous! Amy Manford’s ‘Christine’ was the best I’ve ever heard. If there was any way to take pictures with the cast in costume, that would be fantastic.
I absolutely loved the show. However, I would avoid the days that children seats are free/ cheaper. I paid over £300.00 for 2 seats but we’re surrounded by children who continued to kick the back of our seats and talked throughtout😡
Thought the lead male singers lacked passion and therefore struggled to convince. That said, the lead female performer (Christine role) was excellent. Our third visit and by far the most disappointing!
Absolutely loved it. I didn't know the songs before watching the show but I was captivated by what was happening on stage. One star less cause the girl next to me was on her phone during the whole show...
Grand show, truly enjoyed
The production was totally mesmerising from start to finish. The performers and orchestra were spectacular and rein-acted the story perfectly.
Once again lost in the gothic beauty of this show. I was there in the opening few months and still eager to book. I will be back.. Sing for me.......
I would like to say that this is the best show and Phantom I have ever seen. Tim Howar is just amazing as are all the cast
It has always been a dream of mine to see this show in London and it was fabulous. However I couldn’t say it was comfortable. The seats are too small and too close together and I really struggled to watch the show due to a gentleman said directly in front of my seat. , The theatre needs to address this. The experience has put me off visiting that theatre again.
Well...where do I start haha.... if was a phenomenal evening at the theatre. I enjoyed every second of the show apart from a few odd moments that occurred when the two girls in front kept sitting on the very edge of their seats during the show even when there was nothing to see on stage. The iconic roles of the Phantom, Christine and Raoul were portrayed in an excellent way. The castings were perfect for the cast, although I missed my little Gerard Butler as the Phantom hahah..... moving on, I thought the props were very well put together and the final scene from when the Phantom vanished had everyone in total and utter shock.... how did he do it? Wow...just wow... what a night!
I always said that if I ever saw Phantom it would be where it originated; London. And it was so worth it. Great seat. Great show. I’m very pleased.
Took the missus to watch the phantom of the opera and it was such an amazing experience I have seen the play before but it was a lovely evening I had throughly enjoyed it
What is there left to say about this fantastic production. Well done everyone. One or two safety issues to consider. Descent to front of The Grand Balcony very very steep with deep steps and no handrails. Once we were safely seated a man fell down the last 3 steps . No one came to ask if he was OK even though lots of people were pretty shocked. A young boy aged about 7 sat next to me with his mother was very frightened and ran off up the steps in the dark . Is this show suitable for children who might be disturbed by seeing scary things on stage ?
Amazing! Spellbinding! The geniuses behind the production and those that bring it alive - we are so lucky. A masterpiece by all accounts.
My wife and I absolutely loved the show. We have listened to the music for years but have never been fortunate enough to see the live show (until now). It was a very moving performance. Thank you to all involved.
Absolutely fantastic. A must see. Been twice and will go again
I last show this show about 25 years ago in Manchester and just needed to see it again. Dragged my husband along this time and he enjoyed it too.I had booked balcony seats which were too cramped for my 6 foot 2 inch husband to be comfortable so he watched the second half standing up with the ushers.
The opera is amazing good. But the box office sold me worry tickets. I ordered the stairs ticket and they sold me the Royal circle ticket. It's a shame on this company.
Great performance, wonderful orchestra/music, but the ALD technology was not very good...
Excellent performance by everyone
Absolutely awestruck. Performers outstanding, orchestra top rate, scenery and costumes not of this world. I would come back over and over again because you can not take it all in at once.🐒
My son and I have been wanting to see this show on stage in London for years and finally went last night as a treat for my sons 9th bday. It did not disappoint, in fact it exceeded our expectations! We laughed, we cried, we gasped and we fell in love! The music is phenomenal and the actors playing each of the roles were fabulous! Could not recommend this highly enough. A must see!
What an amazing performance. This is my 5th visit to the show and each time I see something I hadn't noticed before. The cast were pure genius, the scenery is truly wonderful and the whole show was brilliant 😃
It was niece. I like when Phantom took Christe on a boat. Nice sinig. I recommend my friend's.
Amazing costumes and sets
Fantastic, breath taking this was a treat for my husband 40th birthday. We loved the cast and the staging was amazing
It is a musical that I have always wanted to see and did not disappoint my expectations. The amazing actors, the exciting music and the wonderful staging. One of my dreams fulfilled. Thank you very much for everything, it was all unforgettable.
The Male Lead (The Phantom) has an excellent voice that sent me into chills multiple time, dare I say it, he may even be better than the original cast phantom, Michael Crawford. I’ve seen it many times before, and more than once with this particular cast, and they never put anything but 100% into their performances.
Loved every second of it! A great evening out :)
Our visit was a surprise for our 11 year old granddaughter who has watched and sang 'Phantom' songs since she was three !! For her (2nd theatre trip ever) it was just "Amazing" in her words. To be more accurate - from the greeting at the door, the service in the bar - the first moment could not have been better. The staff were superb. And then their was the actual show. There are not enough words in her 11 yr old vocabulary to describe her joy, amazement, awy and enjoyment of this, her favourite musical. As grandparents we were completely overjoyed at her experience. And as for ourselves - a memorable night with a cast and orchestra that deserved the standing ovation at the end. This for all of us all a 10 star experience. I cannot recommend this show Highly Enough. Beyond the usual superlatives. (ps we were so elated that we walked the mile back to our hotel without noticing it)
Great show that worths seeing it. Great costumes, scenes and performances
What a show! From start to finish the performance of all the actors was outstanding and the music fantastic. A show never to be forgotten.
I saw this 30 yrs ago with the original cast so it would be hard to better this but having paid a lot more for supposedly better seats we were disappointed with view especially for the smaller children even with booster seats- it makes it very hard to justify these prices. The sound system was over amplified for many of the songs such that it was painful to the ears when the sopranos were up high and not loud enough to hear the words clearly when not singing.
