What Is The Phantom Of The Opera About?

We have seen Phantom a few times, last one at the Albert Hall for their 25th Anniversary, and while playing the cd recently I decided it was time to see it again so we booked for a birthday treat, we live in Dorset so it was lovely to visit London again.anyway, we were so thrilled with the show, as good as ever and noticed things we’d missed before, as we do every time! The whole cast were great but the two leads were unbelievable, such strong voices, how they manage to do that calibre of performance every night is incrediable, long may it continue
I enjoyed it very much! The performance was great and I had a good time!
Best experience ever
I have never watced anything similar in my life! Amazing voices, acting, costumes. Astonishing lights and settings. I will never forget it!
Great show ! Last saw the show 30years ago and still just as good.
Having visited London several times and finding the Phantom always a sell out I decided to book in advance to ensure tickets. I was not disappointed, absolutely stunning show.
Be aware if you book row Q and P stalls tickets that you might have a building pillar literally in front of your seat and have no option but to turn around so that you will see the play! The theatre play was amazing..after all it’s a classic!
Brought the tickets as a Christmas present for my husband. Absolutely suberb, fantastic scenery, wonderful costumes and the effects were excellent. The show had us completely mesmorized and had us near to tears in parts. Theatre at its best and a must see show!
The show was wonderful! Such talented performers and the singing was incredible.
Simply a wonderful experience. I’ve been many times and this never ceases to amaze me. The music is extraordinarily powerful, visual effects are mind boggling and it really is a fantastic experience all round.
Great show. Only downside........two glasses of wine in theatre bar...£19.90. Is that cost a bit excessive, when you are paying in excess of £100 for a ticket?
Great production but a little disappointed on the seating arrangements.
My wife & i took her mum to see Phantom of the Opera as a surprise for her 80th Birthday celebrations. This was a wonderful finish to an eventful day of surprises which my mother-in-law thoroughly enjoyed. The performance was excellent the cast were outstanding something i would most definitely go see again.
the show was amazing. enjoyed it and will go and watch it again. I would recommend it to everyone . If you have the chance go and watch it. you will not regret this .
I took my daughter so this as it’s one she’s wanted to see for years. Was not disappointed by the show.
I have never seen a West End show before and Phantom is the one I have always wanted to see... I've waited over 15 years to see it and it lived up to everything I expected... Amazing!
The Phantom of the Opera it’s an outstanding performance , it gives you goosebumps on every act, the music and the special effects are just first class .
This was the 6th time I have seen Phantom in London and it was as wonderful as I remembered. Thanks for a great experience again. Actors were perfect. Great talent.
Excellent show, brilliant cast, fantastic staff 5 stars 😁
Finally from the other side of the world I was able to come and see the Phantom. The show was great even from the poor quality seats in the stalls that I had to ask for a cushion to sit on (I’m an adult) to be comfortable. The characters were fantastc, however I think “Christine’s” voice was very average. I’d love to see again from a better seat and hope to again one day.
Absolutely awful seats, it shouldn’t be for sale, we couldn’t see nothing at all.. very disappointed
5th time I have been and still as good as the first time still cry in the same parts it’s my favourite show of all time
Loved the smoothness of scene changes and the use of the stage was ace. The swap from us seeing stage on to behind the stage was well done. The actors were fantastic, the singing blew us away.
Amazing. I saw thee show nearly 30 years ago and it was every inch as good as I'd remembered. Singing, Ballet dancing, costumes, music, props, story telling and suspense - all superb. Got the last seats - why up in the Gods - how much more wonderful it would be closer to the stage.
My Fifth time at Phontom of the Opera . Love it as always. Slightly disappointed This time with the sound System too loud, rough streaky sound. May be the seats? S5 to S8. Still would love to see it again. Hope by then the sound system is dealt with.
I have promised myself every year that I will see this musical....and at long last I have...why did I wait for so long...it was great
This was the first time seeing it live and it was amazing! The costumes, sets, singing and orchestra were great! We sat in the last row of the stalls and even though you couldn’t see the very top of the stage, as described before buying, you could look underneath the overhang and still see. The seats did not take away from the performance. Loved it!
Go see the show it’s amazing
We left booking tickets until the week before, which was not a wise thing to do with this show. We couldn’t get two seats together so had to sit in separate rows. The show itself was, as expected, spectacular! The singing was superb, the acting was brilliant, costumes and sets were stunning. Highly recommended for a West End experience if you’ve only got a few options.
Spine chillingly good, incredible music.
This was my third time watching the show, bringing our kids for the first time. They were not impressed. The seat arrangement was not great. Our view were blocked by the head of those sitting in front of us. The sound effect was not great. The kids said they like Les Miserables and Hamilton much more.
An outstanding performance by all, a purely magical score and the set design was amazing! It was powerful that left me with goosebumps and tears!
Enjoyed the wonderfull performance. Everyrhing fits. Excellent mise-en-scène. Orchestra and solists did extremely well. A more opera look alike structure of the piece as such could help deepening the emotions of the audience. But within the tradition of musical the Phantom had a beautifull interpretation.
A truly amazing performance . Blown away by it all .
Fantastic production. I took our niece who was 12 and she loved it just as much as I did.
An amazing piece of opera and only my second piece that i have seen the set was magnificent and seeing this type of set makes me look fowards to what i might be building in the future
One of the best opera with most beautiful voices and scenography. Really a most see when in London
I had a unique experience in front of me was seated some German children and I had 3 teenagers with me. The look on their faces the emotions they experienced the tears from my two rugby players and the German children was priceless. Empathy and kindness in not dead. They loved it and my kids ranked this as one of the best Christmas Gifts ever. Thank you for a performance that moved the audience. You were all brilliant.
Nice show, but in the Grand Circle I felt the view was poor
Fantastic performance, very different to anyother show I've seen.
The acting and singing was amazing . The show was fantastic and great to watch.
