  This is, quite simply, a fantastic show. Whether your taste is for superb vocal arrangements, beautifully sung, of both classical and rock songs, or incredibly truthful characterisations by talented actors this is the show for you. Look past the frequent rude words to find the comedy, pathos and camaraderie. I wish I could see it again and again. The only disappointment is that there is no cast recording. The amazing choral singing is something I want to listen to again and again,

  Thoroughly enjoyable show. Performances by all the girls were fantastic: acting as well as singing. We were in the stalls near the front (just by chance) and could really see the facial expressions of the cast which made it all the more special. The only slight downside was the the Scottish accent was rather hard to understand at times. My husband and I are mature, born and bred white British so if we struggled then I wonder how visitors might have got on with it. I was glad that I had read the summary of the story beforehand but there were jokes that I completely failed to get,

  I did not enjoy this, even whilst admiring the incredible talent of the performers. There is only so much talk about wanking, jizz, and other such subjects that I can take in one evening. The scene describing the sex act with the cancer patient was very odd and uncomfortable. Was it meant to be funny, shocking or poignant? I couldn't tell. It took us all about ten minutes to tune into the accents. The dialogue in the first few minutes was so frenetic that we had no idea what was being said. I left feeling I would perhaps have enjoyed it when I was a student, but 30 years later it left me wondering what the point of it was. If there had been an interval we would have left.

  Hugely entertaining, clever and brilliantly acted/sung. We sat onstage so sort of felt part of the story. Fionnula was the standout part and actor. Scottish accents would make it difficult for non-native English speakers to follow.

  Six very talented actors, some good music, largely compliments of the Electric Light Orchestra, a modicum of humour, and absolutely no story. How this production ever made it out of Edinburgh is a mystery - unless modern audiences are seduced by shouting, swearing, drinking and bad behaviour - but as voyeurism goes, it's not very interesting. And when there were attempts to give individual characters their own story, we hadn't got to know them well enough to care - and the dialogue (pedestrian) and stories (mundane) weren't original enough to make us sit up and listen.

  The stage school learned 'Scottish Accent' was unintelligible at times, even to my partner who has lived and worked in several Scottish regions for many years. Whilst we were warned that the play contained very strong language it seemed that every sentence uttered contained at least one unnecessary F****ing and one C***ing . If all the swearing that neither added to the story line or the comedy was removed from the dialogue the play would probably be at least 30 minutes shorter. The play was quite confusing because at certain points you were expected to realise that one or more of the mini-skirted girls were actually playing the roles of men who were trying to hit on one or more of the other girls. Despite having won an award for best new comedy - very few people in the audience managed to find anything to laugh about. This is the least funny comedy I have ever seen and was not worth even the reduced ticket prices paid. I would not recommend this play to anyone. DEFINITLY DO NOT TAKE CHILDREN.

  One of the very best shows I've ever seen. Brilliantly performed, great script, fabulously directed. Don't miss this show. Hilarious and moving.

  The performance was terrific - great vocals- thoroughly enjoyed the music. My only challenge was as an American, the fast-talking unfamiliar accent was a challenge so I missed some of the humor. I enjoyed the performance and would see it again, but know my inability to completely catch the jokes caused others in the audience to laugh more than I did.

  Singing was fantastic. Being pensioners some of the humour was above our heads but there were memorable moments and some touching dialogue
