Daisy Pulls It Off
Daisy Pulls It Off
Look out chaps! There’s a new girl in school.
Our plucky heroine Daisy is ready for a topping new term and to take on a jolly ripping mystery in this whizzo family treat for Christmas. In Go People’s anarchic hands, Denise Deegan’s fabulously affectionate parody of 1920s schoolgirl novels is transformed into a riproaring spectacle of ensemble theatrical magic.
Spiffing! Hooray! It’s the perfect addition to your Christmas festivities: a riotous adventure to chase away the winter chills, served with lashings of love from the company behind the Park Theatre sell-out Almost, Maine.
This one’s certainly not just for the kids!

Great little play based on jolly schoolgirls boarding school in the 1920’s or 30’s. Lots of spiffing good fun, cast worked very hard and it really was great fun.

Daisy pulls it off is an antidote to January. Even before twelfth night my companions and I were in need of the pantomime genre to cheer us. We were in the mood for entertainment and entertained we were! A superbly executed mystery set in a spiffingly posh girls school, the energy, enthusiasm and sheer extraordinary inventiveness of the cast made a hockey match and a cliff top rescue utterly gripping. Talent and versatility of this quality is much appreciated. It even made up for the slightly uncomfortable seats in the circle.

A beautifully performed play, very witty and easy to follow. My children aged 12, 10, and 8 thoroughly enjoyed it too.

I was able to enter into the spirit of the play having had experience of boarding school 60 years ago. my husband thought it all rather silly. The play was extremely well cast with the exception of Daisy whom we found to have a rather weak voice.
