Five Guys Named Moe
Five Guys Named Moe
A brand-new production of the Olivier Award-winning musical Five Guys Named Moe is swinging into London offering a special, immersive theatrical experience, in the purposely built Marble Arch Theatre, at London's iconic Marble Arch in Hyde Park.
Set in a 1940s New Orleans Jazz Club, a live band plays the songs of jazz king Louis Jordan as guests arrive to their cabaret tables where drinks will be served. The show then takes place as a fully immersive experience.
Nomax is single, broke and drinking his sorrows away when five guys named Moe - Big Moe, Little Moe, Eat Moe, Know Moe and Four-Eyed Moe – appear out of nowhere to help him straighten out and sing and dance his way to love.
Featuring beloved Jazz classics, including 'Is You Is Or Is You Ain't My Baby', 'Early In The Morning', 'Choo Choo Ch’Boogie 'and, 'Saturday Night Fish Fry', Five Guys Named Moe is a unique theatrical event!
Directed by Clarke Peters (The Wire) with musical staging and choreography by Andrew Wright (Half a Sixpence, Singin’ In The Rain, Guys & Dolls), this high-octane production is the ultimate celebration to lift your soul – book your tickets today!

What a fantastic show, we loved every bit of it. The performance , music, costumes, singing , and set were superb. The jazz band were excellent too We loved the way it was staged with a revolving stage around the seats and some audience participation, added to the fun. Although it was in a pop up theatre, this only added to, the atmosphere. The entry area had a very good bar selling cocktails and beers etc was lovely. We would defiantly go and see the show again, we left on a real high and have been telling all our friends.

Brilliant, uplifting, superb performances from the entire cast. Each with his own splendid voice and tremendous skill and energy for dance. I’m so sad I only got to see it three times. I hope Clarke Peters can find another venue so I can continue to enjoy this magnificent show.

Our party of 5 really enjoyed the show last night, great music from the band, fabulous singing, brilliant staging and very atmospheric in the pop up theatre. The ambiance created by the staff and actors was relaxed and inclusive making the whole performance enjoyable. As long as you realise this show is about the singing not a complex plot line then it’s well worth going, and for all ages. Definitely recommend

My fourth visit and it never fails to deliver. The cast are second to none. Their energy and talent shines. They are complimented by a great band and welcoming staff. A show to remember. Such a shame it is closing. Thank you for the memorable evenings.

It was the weirdest musical I have seen in years. Amdram meets panto New Orleans style. I don't know if I was missing something as most of the audience seemed to enjoy themselves! Though one woman sitting in front of us was actually crying with embarrassment. Audience participation was excruciating; singing was mediocre; acting below par; actors extremely sweaty....and there is no storyline! Or if there is, the actors do not articulate their words enough for you to be able to follow it. From what I could gauge - depressive drunk chucked out by wife, moans for a while until a load of oddballs leap out of his radio and sing appalling inaudible songs and dance madly at him for an hour and a half before returning with as much panache as they arrived. The only moment of empathy throughout the entire play was when the protagonist sighed "Not another song; this is a nightmare". I'm with you Nomax, I'm with you. On the plus side, the theatre bar is really cool.

This was the 2nd time I'd seen 5 guys in a month, because I LOVED it so much the first, I had to take my hubby with me to see it again! Amazing choreography, staging, the talent is incredible - arguably the best voices I've heard in a musical (and I've been to a lot of musicals!) It was FUN and FABULOUS, everything you could ask for. The only negative is that it finishes very soon!

This show should not be coming off! The dancing is brilliant, the singing is brilliant, the choreography is brilliant, the songs are brilliant! I have seen the original production in Stratford in the East End, the second production in the West End and this production twice! The cast could not be better - their energy levels and their talent are sky high. This show could not be any better. I love it!

Well what can I say, it was an amazing, fun show from start to finish. Loved the setting and how you feel part of it all with audience participation and loved the conga idea. All the staff are great and they all looked liked they were enjoying being part of it too. Such a shame it is finishing soon. If you haven’t seen it don’t miss your chance to go!

I arrived for my ticket at the box off an hour before the show the people at the door was so very helpful and polite once I git in the ticket office was right at the door and once again no fussing and very polite staff. Once inside you could have a drink at the bar. I headed for my seat the lady at the door was polite and once inside the theatre you are shown to you seat so once again no fussing. The show itself was wonderful it started on time and everything was so intermate. This was a wonderful afternoon out. Oh yes and the interval congo was fun

You could not help being bowled over by the sheer energy and magnetism of the cast in this performance, left us with a real feel good factor, we came away absolutely buzzing. Do hope the theatre is used again for another Show, fantastic ambience... staff were both helpful and friendly and this helped to create a most pleasurable evening .....shame about the loos though, which needed attention... but this would be the only criticism...

Arrived at Marble Arch pop up theatre and felt the atmosphere straight away. Security at the front welcoming, cheerful and running smoothly. Inside the foyer set up as if in a New Orleans. Bar staff, ushers and guy in the gift shop all in the uplifting mood of the show. Live performance in the bar before the start. The theatre has been designed for the show with an amazing circular stage with a travelator! With giving the show away the guys are there to motivate the main character and the does that to the audience. Amazing acting, singing and dancing that is right in front of you!! I recommend seeing Five Guys Named Mo but see if you can at this temporary theatre at Marble Arch as it adds to the whole experience. Ah I nearly forgot to mention the band.. Great live music!

There was a great atmosphere and the actors put in a lot of effort and showed great energy and charisma. The story line was not very strong and the beginning was a bit downbeat, but it soon got more lively and was very enjoyable overall.

Excellent performances from all 6 guys, only 5 named Moe though. Great music from the band. The theatre was great for the show being in the round. Everybody involved with the cast at some point, which was great.
