Celebrating 20 spellbinding years on the West End stage, this magical live version of Raymond Briggs’ much-loved children’s classic has established itself as a festive family favourite that continues to delight audiences of all ages.
When a Snowman comes to life, he and a boy embark on a wintery wonderland adventure to the North Pole, where they dance with penguins, fly through a starlit sky, meet Father Christmas and escape the clutches of Jack Frost.
Twinkling with festive spirit, this wonderful mix of exquisite dancing, storytelling, enchanting sets, a flying Snowman and live music – including the beautiful ‘Walking in the Air’ – is the perfect Christmas treat for all the family.

Customer Reviews
I'd read that this is suitable for all ages but not sure I'd agree. It is very cleverly done but apart from the show content, the theatre was packed with kids and there was a constant level of noise with kids talking, crying etc so a different experience.
My son adores The Snowmen story and the movie so we went to see the musical. He is 4 and 10 months and was absolutely taken by the performance. The live music, effects and the dancers were a treat to me as well. I would recommend it to all kids age 4 -104!!!
The show was superbly put together with clever and seemless sets and direction, expert musicians and dancing. the "Boy" was wonderful, the colours and overall experience a Joy. Some people have said that some scenes were superflluous and not as written, this is a 5 minute book turned into a 90 minute show, so the additional dances and characters are necessary and performed so well I have no argument with it. I would recommend this as a feel good show for all ages.
Brilliant performance, would've given 5 stars but the performance was interrupted so many times crying babies and children kicking our seats (obviously not their fault, kids will be kids) but why would anybody take a baby into a theatre... it's distracting when they make a lot of noise. But the show was magical, we loved all of it!
What a fabulous show this is! Brilliant costumes, stunning performance... kids absolutely loved it... magical Christmas show!
Great show for kids and parents. The perfect way to celebrate the end of the year! Highly recommended
A good production
As I saw this production 5 years ago with my children I was sure to be playing it safe to bring my guests visiting for Christmas. The disappointment came as soon as the orchestra was replaced by few sintesator players, the size of the stage redused, the scene with the rollerskaters removed... Won't come back.
I took my 3+ grandson to see the production. He sat and watched well and seemed to enjoy it. I think the ballet sequences were a little too long. Sam loved the red train and the motor bike. I think a few more action sections would have gone down well. But very beautiful .
Just fantastic!!
First class entertainment. Beautifully performed. It was an absolute joy
Totally amazing
I took my 7 year old granddaughter we both loved it . Additional material to the original story fitted in very well on stage.
My grandchildren were captivated by this performance. Such a wonderful introduction to the magic of theatre. I thought the mixture of mime and ballet was very clever.
We were sitting in the dress circle (H22-24) and were able to see most of it, but sometimes the snowman's face got out of sight in the flying part- one of the best in the play. Our five-year old daughter loved it and got a bit emotional towards the end. Highly recommended.
Wow, I loved the Snowman, it was really amazing and so magical!
Everything we expected and more magical our Granddaughter just loved every minute .
A magical night out
Went with a 5 and 9 year old who both enjoyed the whole show. Well delivered, especially the ending which wasn't overly sad and the magical flying through the air.
It was beautiful. I loved the dance and mime mixture. It was just what I needed to really celebrate this time of year.thank u
This show was fantastic. The staging was brilliant. The actors were superb. The little boy was so good, bless him. Thoroughly enjoyed it. We didn't have any kids with us so adults can go too!!
Loved the show.took our grandchildren, 2 boys aged 5 and 7 and they were enthralled by the snowman flying! just a classic for Christmas.
breathtaking and beautiful. A joy to watch for any age. Highly recommended
The show was great loved it all my grandaught love she could not take her eyes off the stage
I want to give this more than 5 stars. It was amazing and the best show I have ever seen.
We took our 4 year old granddaughter to see the show. She loved the dancing and wanted to be the ballerina but I think some of the show was too much for her concentration. I loved it!
Perfect treat for our 3 1/2 and 5 year old grandchildren. The acting, dancing and live music were great and the visual effects kept the children engaged.
As a 35 year old I found The Snowman absolutely magical so you can only imagine what my 5 year old thought! Three generations of our family were in the audience and we all loved it!! Brilliant show, would recommend for all!
Christmas present for my 3 grandchildren ages 2,4 & 6 they all loved it and the show kept their attention all the way through. Brilliant family entertainment
Really lovely production and really suited for my 5 year old.
The show was absolutely fabulous! Enjoyed every moment! It’s a must see especially if you have kids!
A great trip for all the family, nostalgic and magical.
Great show. We loved it. Our 4 year old grandson was mesmerized!
Another lovely show. Shame the little train broke but it didn't distract from the show. I've been going for 20 years and absolutley love it. I wish that there could be some way to control the children though. I had dirty welly boots and kicking from the kid sitting next to me throughout the performance.
The whole family loved this show . A feel good show .
Great costumes, choreography and music
We loved this show. The movie has long been a family favourite and the show more than lived up to expectations. My kids are 9,14 and 16 even at those ages they loved it. Thank you
My three year old grandson was spell bound and never lost conscerntration throughout the show which totally surprised his grandparents! My six year old grandson had seen the film so knew what was going to happen. I loved the way the story was told by actions, music and dance without any speech, especially as there was general noise from the many under 3's in the auditorium!
Excellent. Children loved it
Had a wonderful evening at the snowman, it was truelly magical
Lovely show! My three kids enjoyed it so much!
An excellent show as usual. Thoroughly enjoyed by very young children through to grandparents. My only comment is that access for prams is a little difficult as you are not allowed to use the lift and therefore people are carrying prams, some with children still in, up and down stairs while toddlers and adults are also walking past. However, this is a small price to pay for a fabulous show.
An audience 50% children were held enthralled. The standard of the dancing was superb and the little boy dancer wonderful. My grandchildren aged 5 and 8 loved every minute. Thank you
A bit of slap- stick comedy in the way of mime with a bit of dance. Nice show, good but not spectacular. There's a little bit of ballet but it's very simple stuff. Quick set changes were impressive. A little bit of magic. Enjoyed it and made our Christmas special. Young children would absolutely love it. Adults will enjoy it but not as much as young kids.
This was the second year watching the Snowman with my daughter who is 3 years old. Still feel that it’s a very long play and both her and her friend got very tiered at the end of the show. Second half was not as good as the first half. Personally they were some parts they didn’t need to be in the snow. Maybe the part with the ballerina and the bad guy.... The boy of this year was not as good as the one of last year. The music and the dance were amazing. Snowman itself was very good. Overall a good effort.
We’ve seen the show last night with our 2,5 years old daughter. She was completely mesmerised and loved every minute of it! Thoroughly recommended!
It was a random day out over Christmas & we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The cast worked really hard & created a great show. Our thanks to them.
Fantastic show, We absolutely loved it, so well done
It was a magical show which my grandson thoroughly enjoyed the perfect Christmas treat for all the family.
I saw this play together with my 4 year old daughter who cannot speak English well. However, she enjoyed a lot and wants to see it again.
