The Gruffalo's Child tickets
Following hot on the heels of The Gruffalo’s monstrous West End success comes The Gruffalo’s Child - with attitude! Just how brave is she? Find out for yourselves by joining her in the West End this Christmas.
The Gruffalo said that no Gruffalo should ever set foot in the deep dark wood...
One wild and windy night the Gruffalo’s child ignores her father’s warning and tiptoes out into the snow. After all, the Big Bad Mouse doesn’t really exist... does he?

The Gruffalo's Child reviews
A brilliant adaptation of The Gruffalo's Child. Interactive, kid-friendly, funny and bursting with wit and invention, it also has memorable songs and top-notch performances from the three-strong cast. Made for a very enjoyable morning.
I loved the overall production of the Gruffalo's child...good music and fun cast ...however it left my toddler quite baffled as to who was who....none of the characters costumes looked like the characters from the book and all around us you could hear children saying the same thing.....that's not snake! Where is mouse? That's not owl!! And getting bored because the story is changed so much to stretch it out timewise, young children need more of a visual anchor to keep them interested and remind them of what they were seeing. Basically it was too much aimed for older people and the children were left a little bit out by not sticking to what the characters would have looked like ...the Gruffalo dad & fox was the only one that looked slightly similar to a fox ....every other costume was rubbish.
Truly recomend for adults and children!
A wonderful production. Loved the audience participation. My five year year old Grandson wanted to remain in the theatre to watch it all over again. Well done and thank you.
Great play and performance, a lot of fun for the kids but also for the parents.
Great affordable seats but very cheap production and staging.
My 4 year old really enjoyed it which is the main thing for me. It was just the right amount of time - 55 minutes- anything longer and she gets bored. It is literally a 3 person show. The man who plays the Gruffalo floats between a variety of roles. Overall a nice short play for children, with singing. I personally wouldn't pay the money for a really great seat - just sit in the upper circle. I don't feel you get a lot for the money (in terms of content and theatrics - some of the costumes not so believable) so its not worth going for a front seat.
Me and my 4 years old daughter really enjoyed the production. It was really good fun. The actors were amazing and the play was a very clever adaptation of the book.
We took our 3 year old grandson to the show who is a huge Gruffalo fan. We all enjoyed the show but felt they should have dressed the animals up more for the younger children The snake in particular was hard for a child to see at a young age. The actors were very good and did hold the children's attention but again if they were more dressed up it would have been even better We felt it a little pricey but a nice treat. There were a lot of empty seats around us so perhaps more people would have been able to enjoy the show
I bought the tickets for my daughter and husband and my 2 grandchildren. They all enjoyed the show and had a great time.
Had my 2 and 4 year old transfixed from the start - truly magical. Thank you tall stories theatre company!
Great show, our 6 and 3 year old boys both loved it. And at just under an hour it’s perfect length to hold their attention.
Really well done. Great performance!! My kids loved it! (So did i!!)
Sadly disappointing, the cast of three worked hard but with one set and a Gruffalo who’s costume didn’t look much like the book illustration it was never really going to be a big success. For the same money The Snowman is a far better deal.
We thought this was much better than last year because it was interactive. My great nephew who is just 4 really enjoyed the Gruffalo' s child and he asked to go again this year.
Just brilliant!! Creatively and cleverly realized, brilliantly acted, engaging, fun and extremely professional. We were so impressed and will definitely be looking out for more productions from this excellent theatre company in the near future.
My 4 year girl enjoyed the show. Although for a very short period she said she is a little bit scared. I love the show myself sepcially the songs.
A Christmas present for my niece who is two and a half years old and she was mesmerised!!! Absolutely worth the money!!! The actors were really cool too
My 4 grandchildren absolutely loved the show. Good value for money, the 3 actors were really good We all really enjoyed the show
My daughter loved it and is looking forward to the next show by this company,
Fantastic show worth every penny I enjoyed it just as much as my daughter... highly recommended
4 year old and two year old enjoyed it.... largely because they recognised the story. The male cast member is versatile. Owl needs work!
Good Show
The actors where very well prepare with very good voices
A first-rate cast did justice to a classic children's story. Great performances, great songs and lots of humour.
Fantastic show x x my 4 yr old son loved it x x we as parents loved watching him watching it x x great cast x fantastic x
2and a half and 5 year old really enjoyed it. Great show!
What an amazing show, my son loved it. All 3 actors are really good but the male actor is really talented.
I brought my two children ages 5 and 2 to see the show. Unfortunately 5 minutes in my 2 year old son got a bit scared and decided to cry his eyes out. I had to take him outside to calm down, he did not want to return, everytime I tried to take him back in he just cried and cried. This of course is not your fault but I was upset as my son did not get to enjoy the show and my daughter after 5 minutes of me leaving the room didn’t want to stay with my girlfriend alone so she came out as well, she just wanted to be with her dad. I would love to have given a great review but unfortunately didn’t see more than the first 5 minutes. In the mayhem of leaving with a crying child I dropped my sons water bottle, it is mainly green with colourful icons on it. If this is found could you please contact me, Many thanks.
An engaging interpretation of the book. The performers interacted well with the audience without being over the top. All the kids appeared to enjoy the show and us adults too! Look forward to catching another production by Tall Stories!
Excellent show and enjoyed by the whole family but especially my 3 and 8yr olds. Perfect duration for small children.
Committed comedians and lively.
I went with my 5 year old daughter. I've read the story to her few times and she was able to follow the show. We both enjoyed it. It was funny and very interactive
My three year old thoroughly enjoyed this production. She laughed at the jokes and interacted with the story telling. There were adult humour jokes in there as well Would definitely recommend
We absolutely loved The Gruffalo’s Child, even the adults were kept entertained! The actors are fantastic and interacted with the crowd constantly. My daughter, who’s two, has been asking to go back over and over again! This is a show not to be missed!!!
Very clever adaptation of a well loved story.
We saw The Gruffalo’s Child on NY Eve with our 3 year-old and both he and we absolutely loved it! What a talented cast and the songs were great too. Would wholeheartedly recommend this show.
Excellent production with a talented cast
Perfect Christmas treat for the kids.
Brilliant show - good fun! Kids thoroughly enjoyed the performance!
A three person cast do a wonderful job to honour a well told story with limited props and stage settings. Wish it could offer more for a children's theatre experience but still a great show for families over any holiday break!
My kids want to see the show again. That says it all .
Great performance, funny and nice engaging audience.
We totally loved it. Took our two kids, aged 3 and 2. Both know the story well and loved this interpretation. Just long enough, right mix of songs and dialogue. Great seats. Would recommend paying that bit extra and getting the premium stall seats. Great view for little ones.
My three year old grandson thoroughly enjoyed the show and wanted to stay and watch it again.
A lovely show full of music, drama and humour, ideally pitched at its young audience. Close enough to the book but with added surprises. The animal characters with human characteristics were brilliant. Our three year old was enthralled.
A really good show which was very child friendly. We took our grandson who is aged 2 years and 6 months. He thoroughly enjoyed it and talked about the big bad mouse all the way home. Thought this was a great introduction to live theatre for him.
So very good. My 4 year old sat watched the whole performance x
Excellent! My 4 years old loved it!!
Amazing actors, very well thought and performed!!!!
