This was my son's first theatre experience and it was fabulous. He loved it very much and has been reenacting the play at home . For some reason, his favourite character is Lanky Len!

We really enjoyed the play. Took my 2 yrd old and she loved it. She came home saying lots of things frm the book, prior prior to play she was like the Ladybird. never mentioned anything about the book. This time she talked about the character, tried to sing songs. It was our first play as a family and I am glad it was this one! It was claer that a lot of effort and thought had gone into it and it was fun for both adults and kids. Highly recommended. Thank you!!!

We really enjoyed the show . My about to turn 5 yr old granddaughter was so-o-o excited and it was not a disappointment. Especially liked the versatility of 'Raymond' as himself and Lanky Len.

As a musician I was slightly concerned as the audio from the show reel was not on the level of the 5* reviews but no fear this is a very classy, well thought out and thoroughly brilliant and creative show. Stunned by the level of talent on stage! My 10 month (babe in arms) and my 3 year old loved it, as did I!

What a wonderful show. My wife and I took our 4 year old grandson to this show. Now, he is 95% into trains and buses, scooter etc. but this show made him participate, laugh and go with the music. Well thought out stage setting, excellent performers, good singing and funny. Forgot myself, that I am 75. Well done.

The cast delivered an energetic, entertaining and creative performance. Actors established a good rapport with the audience as well as each other, they seemed to have enjoyed themselves, which I find particularly important as less engaged, well humoured performers always appear ever so patronising. Better suited perhaps to my younger child (aged 5), but my older one (aged 8) also enjoyed himself. My one issue would be with the cost of this show. Youth theatre scene in London is very much alive and one can find equally good, if not better, entertainment for much less.

We all loved it ; my daughter said it was better than the Gruffalo, but that could be that there is a lot more action in this production. I thought the make believe animals were excellent My 3 year old grandson was attentive throughout and often sitting on the edge of his seat and he happily joined in. The cast worked hard with what was a mixed audience; quite a lot of crying babies etc. We are seriously considering your next production, being a theatre goer myself I am very keen to encourage my grandchildren and this is an excellent way to start.

Amazing show! Talented actors! The production was fantastic! Our Granddaughter (Aged 4) was familiar with the story and thoroughly enjoyed the show. Lots of catchy songs, little jokes and surprises that the young audience lapped up! Just long enough (around an hour) before any restlessness set in but our young guest was transfixed! We all loved it! Will be booking 'The Gruffalo's Child'

Took my 3& 5 year olds (who are not fans of the cinema as too long sitting still) and they were enraptured for the hour. They were talking about it until bedtime. The wit of the tunes keeps the accompanying adult sane too. The production is really sweet; kids get to see a whole world conjured from a few props and 4 (very talented) singer/actors.

Loved it a lot!!! The music, the stage, the actors - everything was amazing!!! My 3 years old and my 1 year old kids were watching mesmerized, clapping, singing. We got a disk with the songs after the show and now we are listening to it 10 times a day. Kids singing along!

Good production, entertaining songs, fun to watch but as a play the focus is slightly too much on the (pretty samey) characters. I think it would be better and more child-friendly to have more of a role for the animals, like how the cats and the cow are portrayed.

Overall the production was good and the cast worked hard, but the venue was expensive and not very intimate for a young audience. The whole show felt a little lost in the space.

We enjoyed the show - with my 5 year old and 3 year old granddaughters. Some nice touches and songs. However I think the production was a bit old for 3 year olds as a production. Also it is a pity that a Lady bird puppet of some sort didn't appear at some point ...I thought the lady bird was a bit underplayed

We were so excited to see this was on as it's our favourite book! It was an amazing production! My little 2 year old daughter loved it! She couldn't take her eyes off the stage. The way the animals were made was FANTASTIC !!! So clever. Thank you

I thought the show was good and my daughter liked it. But it could have been better. It was disappointing that the main part of the story about the animal sounds was a fast song that the kids couldn't join in with. Why not go through each animal noise with the kids in the audience? My daughter is 3 and loves the story, that is the main way she engages in the story, I think you missed a trick. Hefty Hugh was excellent!

My granddaughter loved the show, especially the songs and recognising the characters from the books. I thought the ladybird leaf was very overpriced however, and not enough opportunities for my granddaughter to use it in the show.

A good. slightly adapted, telling of the story. Lots of audience participation encouraged. Slightly drawn out in places with multiple reprises of songs which my autistic son found difficult to sit through but, in general, a really well put together little musical. Perfect for 5 and unders. Also, souvenirs were VERY reasonably priced to be able to treat the kids to a momento.

Marvellously thought out n acted. One big problem was the background music was often too loud. It drowned the actors when the were talking. Loved lanky len! Kids 7,9 and 18 months enjoyed it.

Wonderful inspirationally imaginative adaptation and set design ( it really is just like walking straight into Lydia Monk's illustrations), great acting, with catchy songs and plenty of laughs-out-loud all made for a great mummy-daughter outing. Thoroughly recommended.

Our 5yr old loved the show and cackled with laughter throughout (especially Lanky Lenny!), mind you, I was also captivated and amazed they could turn a short story into such an enjoyable play. The cast were brilliant with their acting, singing, playing musical instruments, dancing and in true West End style! 55mins was perfect. You will love it and so will your little ones. They recommend for 3+ but I saw a little baby in the row in front of us on his dads lap (probably about 3mnths), who was wide eyed and glued to the stage as well!

My daughter has been listening to this story since she was 2.. when she saw it all come alive, I felt accomplished. Her enthusiasm was the best part of the day. I am now reading all books written by Julia Donaldson to her and hoping to visit the theatres again.
