Don Juan In Soho

“Please don’t be charmed, he’s not a lovable rogue...”

David Tennant stars in the West End premiere of Don Juan In Soho, the “savagely funny and disgracefully sexy” (The Telegraph) play written and directed by Patrick Marber.

Loosely based on Molière’s tragicomedy ‘Don Juan’, this modern update transports the action to contemporary London and follows the final adventures of its debauched protagonist – a cruel seducer who lives only for pleasure.

Marking ten years since its acclaimed run at the Donmar Warehouse, David Tennant leads an electrifying cast, including Adrian Scarborough and Gawn Grainger, at Wyndham’s Theatre for a strictly limited season.

This production of DON JAN is drama, fun and unrepentant debauchery at its very best. I loved the way it is updated so that everything happens in present day Soho. David Tennant is well cast and excellent as DON JUAN the energetically rampant and cruel seducer. I thoroughly enjoyed, every, nano second of it. This production of DON JUAN is must see for the broad minded. Although even the narrow minded may be 'seduced' .by 'Him'.

  • Great fun, excellent production, stand out acting

    27 March 2017

This was a real romp from start to finish - a roller coaster for the senses and a great evening of entertainment. Both leads were naturally, outstanding and wholly believable and each member of the the cast confident, committed and clearly enjoying every minute. I admit to be one of the nervous laughers in the crowd since I had brought my 17 year old daughter (a Dr Who fan) and her friend to see this and we were all rather surprised by the fruity language and action! Still, we now have a shared experience to snigger over in the future...Thank you, it was one of the best Theatre evenings in a while - and I do a lot of Theatre!

  • So Disappointed

    26 March 2017

I was really looking forward to seeing this play As a regular theatre-goer for the last 40 years I am well past the stage of finding incessant use of swear words entertaining especially as the whole play seemed so crass. The two main actors were very good but couldn't rescue the performance. The performance I went to was generally well received. I would not recommend this play
