However, Granny has a secret which is about to make Friday nights more exciting than Ben could ever imagine…
From the producers of much-loved Horrible Histories comes GANGSTA GRANNY – the West End premiere of this fantastic story by David Walliams, one of the most acclaimed children’s authors in the UK.

We took my 9 year old grandson to see the show and he really enjoyed it. Most of the children seemed the same. However this is a very small theatre, because of this the seating is very tight and it was difficult to see at times. The experience could have been improved if the play had been performed further back on the stage. This would have allowed every one to see.

Energetic and enthusiastic but essentially a rather weak story padded out with irrelevant nonsense to make 90 odd minutes of distinctly average children's entertainment. Unimaginative and repetitive...any "play" that relies on characters farting to get its biggest laugh is in trouble . It's just exactly what children's theatre should NOT be...

It was a really great show. My 6 year old daughter had read the book already, but still thought it was really funny, as did both parents. The scene changing was really cleverly done, with minimal distraction to the story. A great night out!

Grandaughters really enjoyed the show....even after the film and book. Typical David Williams. I enjoyed all the children's laughter!!!! But I couldn't see enough of the stage to see what they were laughing at.

I was upset and annoyed with the Box Office that the amount charged for the booking fee was £7.43 per ticket and not a total of £7.43 for the 4 tickets I purchased. I really do not know how you can justify £30 to provide 4 seats. The performance was excellent and the children ( aged 7 and 4) really enjoyed themselves having read the book before they went.

Great show, what we could see. Kids enjoyed it, but the seats we had in the upper grand circle really shouldn't be on sale. Fair enough it was the only tickets we could get for that show & it does say restricted view on them. BUT, restricted view is an understatement. We were in row C, numbers 1-4, & you really can only see a quarter of the stage!!!

This is clearly a money-making enterprise trying to cash in on popularity of David Walliams' books (which are brilliant). My son loves his books so I booked two tickets. Guys, this is West End! It was a level of cheap panto in a provincial seaside resort. My 11 year old son says it was too cheesy. And he is not very fussy. I was profoundly embarrassed for poor actors who have to do this for a living. The crowd was to match. Most parents were clearly first time in a theatre. Save you money and take your kids to see Matilda (again!) or Lion king. But not this. This is not a theatre.

My grandson, aged 8, has read the book twice and loves David Walliams books. He was not disappointed with the show, in fact he enjoyed it more than the book. I really enjoyed it. Very entertaining.

Couldn't fault the play, absolutely loved it... my little girl really enjoyed it. Only thing I would have to moan is the family in front..... we had to sit by the side on the concrete to watch as the family were so inconsiderate and kept blocking the view and allowing the children to behave like animals!!!

Sharp, fast moving and snappy production that grabbed, and kept, the kids attention throughout. Excellent cast especially Ben and Granny. A must see.

I am still astonished as to how theatres can charge such large amounts for tickets especially for productions for children. The tickets we have bought for Matilda are around the same price and Matilda is a much bigger production than Gangsta Granny.

Good show, great production, granny was fantastic and the kids really enjoyed it. Just a shame our view was restricted because it's a curved auditorium.

I was pleasantly surprised as its hard to see a production when you think you know it very well. However I thought it was very good and have been recommending to friends already. My 13 year old son enjoyed it too. Appeals to children of all ages and adults!!

In fairness.. my Children aged 8,10 &11 loved the show Gangsta Granny! As an adult, I looked at my watch several times during the first act, wondering... did I misread the reviews!!! The second act was a little better with some audience participation. Raj was a very funny character, his interval appearance was great. However, for the price of the seats which for our family of 6 in the J row Stalls totalling to £448. The standard of theatre was no better than my children's end of year school play. For such a great children's story, why was this play executed so badly??

Lively and funny performance which had all the children up and dancing at the finish. It was a special performance which David Williams himself introduced. A true reflection of his lovely book. Both adults and children will enjoy.

7 -70 years of age we all laughed a lot and thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. Great acting by a great cast. Highly recommended. to any parents/grandparents looking for an outing with children. For my grandsons, having David Walliams make a surprise appearance to welcome the Grenfell audience was an added bonus.

I went to see this show with my 9year old son and mum! They both totally enjoyed it seeing as the show is about a boy's relationship with his grandmother! The icing on the cake was David Walliams surprise appearance t introduce the show as victims of the Grenfell tower were in the audience!
