David Baddiel: My Family: Not The Sitcom

David Baddiel transfers to the West End direct from a sell-out run at London’s Menier Chocolate Factory.

Adored by critics and audiences alike, in My Family: Not the Sitcom the witty and astute David Baddiel delivers what he describes as a ‘twisted love letter to my parents’. In a stand-up show as unflinchingly honest as it is hilarious, Baddiel scrutinises his dementia-ridden father, his recently deceased, hypersexual mother and his discovery of her 20-year affair with a fellow golf memorabilia enthusiast.

A celebrated comedian, novelist and television presenter known in particular for his partnership with Frank Skinner and his work on The Mary Whitehouse Experience, Baddiel has once again created an inventive and compelling comedy show. David Baddiel – My Family: Not the Sitcom is an affectionately disrespectful and incredibly funny look at the past, the future and dysfunctional relatives.

Thoroughly enjoyed the show so did my daughter. Certainly a bit different. But a pity the guy in front didn't get spotted on Q&A he worked with David's mother by all accounts.

I would definitely recommend this to others, but maybe not for everyone.

There were parts of this show that I really enjoyed , but other bits that I found rather tedious.
