***Hurry! The best seats are selling fast***

Following a sell-out run at the Royal Court Theatre, Martin McDonagh’s Hangmen makes its much-anticipated transfer to the West End.

Passing the time at his pub in Oldham, Harry is enjoying the modest fame that comes with being the second-best hangman in England. However, things are about to change. Today is the day the death penalty is abolished. Among the reporters and toadies that arrive to seek out Harry’s reaction to the news skulks an unknown figure with an entirely different motive.

Hailed by critics as one of his finest works, Hangmen marks McDonagh’s (The Pillowman, The Cripple of Inishmaan) first play in a decade following the success of his films In Bruges and Seven Psychopaths. Directed by Matthew Dunster and starring original cast members David Morrissey (The Walking Dead, State of Play) and Johnny Flynn (Jerusalem, Twelfth Night), Hangmen is a tremendous melding of humour and terror which brutally lampoons the lust for celebrity.

Playing for a strictly limited run at London’s Wyndham’s Theatre, book your Hangmen tickets today.

Nominated for the Evening Standard Theatre Awards Best New Play.

We arrived expecting as stated a line by line hilarious play and what we got was dower, Badlwt thought out dramatics, dull stage setting , racism , swearing and anger that took the form of shouting by the lead actor... All in all a waste of our time and our money .... The people next to us left after the first half and nobody around us was laughing either .... Close the show now !!!

Amazing how the script turns such a dark subject into something hilarious. Riveted from start to finish and the sets were incredible.
