We took 3 of our grandchildren and their parents to see The Gruffalo as a Christmas treat and we all had a wonderful time. The grandchildren were 3 and 4 years old, it was their first experience of going to the theatre and they were totally enthralled with the performance.

I took my 3 year old and 18 month old, they loved it and were enthralled the whole way through. The characters were fun and the show was interactive. Obviously for the show to last almost an hour there is additional lines and songs, but there is still the original lines from the books which the children are encouraged to join in with. The characters do not exactly resemble the book, however they are cleverly done and my children didn't mind. Would definitely recommend this show - my daughter was sad to leave and wanted to see it again!

The actors were joking on stage and were not acting professional . They seemed to think the show was a joke, and all at the audiences expense. I recommend seeing Stickman which is very clever, but NOT the Gruffalo. Don't waste your time or money.

thought it was enjoyable and it was enjoyed by my 2 and a half year old thought there could have been more jungle animals birds etc. The butterfly was a good idea. Also costumes left a bit to be desired

My 4 year old loved this, my tween hated it. It is cute and campy with good humor interjected and audience participation.

Good show but so different to the spirit and nature of the book that my 3 year old didn't really associate it with the grufallo.

It was a very good and funny show. Very child friendly. The gruffalo song was brilliant and the funny fox that kept coming back and coming back that made me laugh. I would definitely recommend it to all families with children of all ages.

This was well worth the money.children and adults loved it . The cast was fantastic and made us laugh . The children joined in with parts of the story . It really came to life and we went home singing the songs. So book up and enjoy. We are going to book gruffalos child for next year.

Great show for all ages who know the book back to front. Well done all 3 on stage. Only small criticism is that the songs are too slow. It's a well paced show, but felt it ground to a halt with each song

Being in London with two kids 9 and 5 years, I'm glad that I've chosen to see this theatre. The kids already knew the story so eventought they don't speek english they've enjoyed the show. For sure it was a good choice.

A most disappointing show. My 3 year old son loves the book to which this show resembles little. There was little interaction with the audience and couldn't make out what the mouse was saying a lot of the time. Costumes and set were amateur. Not for young children and not for lovers of the original book - the magic of the words and characters are complete to lost in this production.

We done this for our sons birthday he will be 3 tomorrow, being he's first experience to the theatre (he hasn't even been to the cinema) we didn't know what to expect. To say this was beyond our expectations is not enough, all 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed the show with just the right level of crowd participation, such a good fun enjoyable family trip out x

Both my kids and I were completely charmed by the witty, fun and interactive actors from Tall Stories. A classic book was done proud and we all left feeling satisfied that Julia Donaldson would have whole-heartedly approved. It's a must-see show, so book while it's still on. Bravo!!

A lovely adaptation to the book, that provides a lovely early experience to the theatre for under 5's. We are looking forward to the gruffalo's child.

I took my 2 and 4 year olds to watch the Gruffallo not entirely certain of how our very energetic wee boy would 'behave'. Both were enthralled from start to finish and still talk loads about it. The adults also enjoyed the acting and the humour. It was such a lovely day out!

We took our three and a half year-old grandson and he was transfixed. Clever script appeals to small children but also amuses the adults. The cast are great, portraying the various characters, engaging with the audience and drawing everyone into the action. Diction excellent, so we could understand dialogue and song lyrics. The costumes are well-judged, suggesting the character, but not so realistic as to be scary, or to set off nightmares later. We expected our little one to lose interest after a bit but he was still right with it when it finished after just less than an hour. Highly recommended as a first theatre visit or for older children attracted by the Gruffalo story.

We read the book all the time and this was a really enjoyable, imaginative interpretation which stayed true to the original dialogue. Children were encouraged to join in and shout out at appropriate moments. If your kids love the Gruffalo they'll love this!

Dreadful. The theatre was also pretty empty and yet on the online booking most seats were indicated taken. Not at all impressed and very silly.
