At the Queen’s Theatre, the longest-running musical in the West End shows no sign of neglect. The “house full” signs were up and there was a standing ovation the night I attended… In all key respects, Trevor Nunn’s original RSC staging has stood the test of time well: the revolve whirls tirelessly, lending a cinematic fluidity to a bustling, beautifully lit spectacle which, using John Napier’s pile-it-high design and tons of dry ice, memorably evokes the 1832 Paris uprising, when the downtrodden masses (some of them) protested against the monarchy of Louis-Philippe. With its emphasis on poverty and injustice, mood of angry disillusion and yearning for redemption, it may be that the through-sung piece speaks more to our own troubled age than it did to the Eighties...

This was not the first west end show my wife and I have seen but it was by far the most beautiful, professional and emotional one. The quality of the cast, the set and the story was second to none and we will definitely be going to see it again at some point. Was well worth the cost of tickets, train fares and hotel. Thanks for the show.

I got my fiancée tickets for Christmas and went with her. Honestly I hadn’t thought I would be a fan of theatre but wow I was wrong! The show was just the best, all the actors where just fab, the sets were just out of this world. Was a delight for the eyes and ears.

Fourth time I have seen the show, the latest format felt a little rushed, but the performers were excellent, in particular the lead females were very good. However, the Sondheim Theatre was a sweat box. It was absolutely baking in there and the staff would not do anything about the heat. Someone vomited at the interval due to heat and everyone was being boiled alive. The seats are too small and there isn’t enough leg room either. Neither myself or my partner could really enjoy the show due to the levels of discomfort we were subjected to. Such a shame. A show like Les Mis isn't really suitable for the Sondheim, it’s too big of a show for such a small theatre.

We thoroughly enjoyed the show. after seeing the live film version of the Les Miserables Concert with Alfie Boe & Michael Ball we felt we had to see the show (have been meaning to see the show). the whole thing was wonderful so moving. really impressed with the stage props. one little fault we were in the upper circle & there were a couple of times when the actors could have taken a couple of steps back so we could see what was happening ( we were not in restricted view seats)

A brilliant show once again from all the cast. Delayed after around 15 minutes due to lead Jean Valjean was, we gathered, taken ill although no real explanation was given. Do hope he has recovered. His 'stand-in' was excellent and it did not affect anything.

Last night was the 30th time my wife saw Les Miserable on stage, myself only 10 but we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Bits added on and bits taken off and it keeps the audience on their toes. My wife saw it in Canada twice and it came close second to London. Well done every one.

I really dont know where to begin. I have seen many many shows all over the world including Broadway and this production is outstanding. I saw it yesterday and would go back tomorrow. The cast are absolutely on point, the orchestra truly marvellous and the crew make the whole thing come together seamlessly. There was t a dry eye around me.

How many times can you see a show and every time it improves? The new production is more powerful and emotional than ever before. The cast is perfect, this together with the scenery and lighting will ensure Les Miserables continues for many more years to come.

Wow what an experience. Have seen the show before but have to say the new staging is amazing. If you could improve on perfection you have done. Mr Robyns is a fantastic Jean Valjean and the little boy that played Gavroche is amazing. Ian Hughes as Thenardier is indeed the best inn keeper in town, so funny. Everybody deserved the standing ovation at the end. Looking forward to the next time.

Excellent singers and choreography. The scene changing using a mixture of real props and visual effects was amazing to watch. Actors & actresses were very impressive. I found the story-line a little hard to follow. The reason why they decided to fight was unclear to me, but I came for the music not the story. Gwyn

Saturday night out for my partners Xmas present, bought well before Xmas. We’ve been to a few shows, some of the biggies Phantom, King and I, River Dance, Circ Du Solee. But oh my god Les Mis smashed them out of the Park. Absolutely hooked from beginning to end and stunning performances from the whole cast, orchestra and set team. Can’t praise this enough. 😀😀😀 If I could afford to go again I would.

A brilliant piece of theater that is well produced and staged, excellent cast and musicians and exceptionally moving. The whole cast and support thoroughly deserved the standing ovation they received. We have seen a number of plays and musicals in the West End over the years, and we believe this is the best we have ever seen.

It was not as good as when I last saw it in 1993/4 but still enjoyed it. Looking forward to seeing it in another twenty odd years with my wife and daughter! Mind you I am 75years now!!! Find seats very expensive for us oldies! Seats very good but people in front persisted in talking, perhaps this is why I didn't enjoy it so much! Keep going...thanks

I’ve always wanted to see Les Mis and I finally did yesterday. We went to a matinee at 2:30pm which meant the performance was on until 5:15 ish. Longer than I expected but worth every single minute! I want to go back and watch it again already. The cast were amazing! Their singing voices were incredible and more than once I ended up in tears! It was very moving. I recommend anyone to see this show even if you don’t think it’s your thing. You will be pleasantly surprised how it can captivate you and leave you with overwhelming emotion! In the best way! I’ll be back again this year for sure.
