If you liked Naked Attraction you probably won't like this dated text about a distraught woman left by her lover. There's nothing attractive about this play and its staging. Ruth Wilson's performance is excellent but she's working with tired material and the outcome is pretty obvious from the first few utterances.

I love Ruth Wilson and she is an amazing actress. But even she could not bring life to this pretentious twaddle of a play. Don’t waste your money or your time.

I am not entirely convinced by the production, which was confusing to start, but Ruth Wilson'a performance made sense of it. She was wonderful

Being alone on stage must be difficult at the best of times but acting one half of a phone conversation (the other half never being heard) must be almost impossible. Ruth Wilson did this with impeccable timing, skill, emotion and so much more. One believed she was talking to someone and became deeply involved with the woman character's situation with all it's different emotions. Jean Cocteau wrote the play for his actor to shine and Ruth Wilson surely did this.

The glass box meant you could not alway see Ruth Wilson’s head of seared in the balcony so that was annoying. I just did not gel with this performance- it felt like a man’s version of a woman he has treated very badly. Ruth’s acting was flawless but it was not for me.
