Zorro The Musical
Zorro The Musical
The famous red-hot tale of the masked hero, El Zorro, fighting for justice and freedom “bursts into its new home with fiery abandon” (Broadway World) in this immersive, thrilling and headily sensual new production.
Set in the sizzling heat of 1805’s California, a pueblo is under attack from its autocratic leader. When the danger is at its greatest, a masked crusader appears from nowhere and saves lives. Who is he? Will he be their champion? With zealous, ‘get-on-your-feet’ music, featuring international hits by Gipsy Kings including Bamboleo, Baila Me and Djobi Djoba, alongside original music “so mesmerising that it will leave a lasting memory for the audience” (The Reviews Hub).
Prepare to be seduced by this “vibrant and energetic” (North West End) production and witness the thrills and spills of our hero as he battles for all he holds dear. Spanish Gypsy pride and fire runs deep throughout this explosive show with immeasurable flamenco choreography, Cante jondo singing and “breath-taking, six-sabre fight routines” (The Stage).
The zest and passion of Spain and 19th Century California comes to the West End in this “journey of sights, sounds and rhythmic relish” (Theatre News) which will leave you with racing hearts, shouting out the name “EL ZORRO!”

Nice musical, especially if you like flamenco, however there were few songs in another genre; Ines and Luisa's voices excellent, dancing moments good, nice jokes, nice musical throughout. I've seen bits before from the Korean version of Zorro and that one was a big scale play, so my expectations were a bit too high. I enjoyed it and congratulations to all actors and unseen members who made this possible. Good job.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed yesterday's matinee performance of Zorro. The singing and dancing was full of passion and felt very Spanish. So much energy amongst the cast - Inez being my particular favourite. The fight scenes were also brilliantly choreographed. Exciting and uplifting. Would very happily go again.

The show was slow to start until you got into it, some good performances from most of the cast and lots of loud Spanish themed music

This is a high energy and fun show with an ensemble cast who tell a story in a dynamic and exciting theatrical way. Watching a matinee I wondered how ever could they do another show in the evening. Act 2 has some flaws in the writing as there are too many ballads one after the other but the company are totally committed and absorbing. If I can offer a note - the lack of music for the calls means the company are denied the standing ovation they deserve. Inventive and thrilling but also moving and poignant .

One of the best shows I have seen. Singing, music, dancing & fencing were fantastic. I could watch it again.
