Welcome to Hollywood! What’s your dream?
What’s Pretty Woman: The Musical about?
Based the iconic Julia Roberts/Richard Gere movie from the 1990s, Pretty Woman is one of the most romantic tales of all time. But it’s also gritty and doesn’t pull any punches. The Pretty Woman of the title is Vivian Ward, a free-spirited Hollywood prostitute. She’s hired by Edward Lewis, a wealthy businessman as his paid companion. Edward just happens to be drop dead gorgeous, too. Over the course of a week, Vivian escorts Edward to business and social functions, including a famous night at the Opera.
Of course, things don’t run smoothly. Vivian is looked down on by the social circles Edward mixes in and it’s soon apparent that fate, and their class divide, makes a future together impossible. Can love win out for these unlikely soulmates? Or will their differences ultimately tear them apart?
Pretty Woman The Musical cleverly recreates the moments you love from the movie and combines them with a scintillating new rock score by Grammy Award® winner Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance (‘Summer of ’69’, ‘Heaven’). The show is directed and choreographed by double Tony Award® winner Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, Legally Blonde, Hairspray), and the creative team is completed with a book by the movie’s legendary director Garry Marshall and screenwriter J.F. Lawton.
Pretty Woman returns with a cast lead by Aimie Atkinson (Six, In The Heights) and Danny Mac (White Christmas, Sunset Boulevard). This dazzlingly joyous love story is guaranteed to lift your spirits and light up your heart.
Pretty Woman: The Musical songs
The classic rock score features the songs Welcome To Hollywood, Anywhere But Here, Something About Her, Luckiest Girl In The World, Rodeo Drive, On A Night Like Tonight, Don’t Forget To Dance, Freedom, You’re Beautiful, Welcome To Our World, This Is My Life, Never Give Up On A Dream, You And I, I Can’t Go Back, Long Way Home and Together Forever. You’ll come out dancing on air and singing the songs all summer long! Don’t miss out – book now!
Pretty Woman: The Musical awards
The show originated on Broadway, where it was nominated for five Broadway.com Audience Awards. These included wins for Favourite Actor in a Musical (Andy Karl), Favourite Featured Actress in a Musical and Favourite Diva Performance (Orfeh). See why Broadway audiences loved this show for yourself at London’s Savoy Theatre this summer!
Five priceless facts about Pretty Woman
1. In the movie, the most famous scene almost wasn’t there. On the day of filming, Julia Roberts was feeling poorly, so Richard Gere tried to cheer her up with a gag, snapping the box of a necklace on her hand. The director loved their improvisation so much, he kept it in the final edit.
2. The necklace in question was real and cost almost 2% of the film’s entire $14m budget. It was made by French jeweller Joaillier from 23 pear-cut rubies surrounded by diamond encrusted hears in 18 carat white gold.
3.Julia Roberts almost wasn’t in the movie. The part was originally written for Diane Lane, but her schedule meant she had to withdraw.
4. That famous red dress was almost black until a last minute costume change created an icon. That’s thanks to the movie’s costume designer, Marilyn Vance, who thought black didn’t work.
5. The Broadway Musical starred Samantha Barks as Vivian. The show provided off-stage romance too. Samantha is now engaged to Alex Michael Stoll - they met on the production.

Pretty Woman The Musical reviews
If I could give it 8 stars I would, the cast were incredible. Staff gave us an upgrade on our seats which make it even more exciting
Really great show and loved the songs throughout! My daughter rates it in her top 3 shows in London!
Rather disappointed with the show overall especially the first half The actor playing Edward was very well selected The actor playing hotel manager very good but a shame he needed to leave during the interval due to sickness
Went with my Best Friend, was an incredible show. All the cast were Incredible.
Unfortunately we walked out at the half time interval as we just found it too cheesy to sit through. The lady that played Vivian had a very high pitched squeaky voice that just grated. Kit was brilliant. Not for us, wouldn't recommend.
The music was great The actors were spectacular Great show
It was very professional
Lovely show very uplifting very much like the film u wont be disappointed
We loved Pretty Woman. From the start, it was full of energy. The cast all looked like they were enjoying the performance. It was brilliant.
Excellent show with great singing cast with story line close to the film
Captivated in the story telling instantly and all the characters made a story that was already known and made an adaptation that was truly marvelous and still kept in touch with the iconic movie scenes.
Fantastic show
The film is an all time loved classic and the musical just built on everything that we know and adore. Sadly no Danny Mac but the understudy was superb. The leading lady was incredible and the cast just made the whole afternoon such a birthday treat. Lovely clean theatre. Stage setting and changes seamless. I’ve run out of superlatives. GO SEE IT 🤩🤩🤩
We absolutely loved the musical pretty woman. It was a great rendition. I would maybe say too many songs but that’s the only criticism I would feed back.
Amazing show, full of energy and humour and loving the songs, well why wouldn’t you? They were written by the great Bryan Adam’s and Jim Vallance
Brilliant and captured the movie well. Would definitely recommend for fans of the movie

Love the film but the musical just didn’t live up to it …maybe set expectations too high ….. far too much music that wasn’t even relevant to the film ….. was just a disappointment & everyone in my party felt the same.
