What’s Cinderella about?
Remixed, reimagined, reinvented – this Cinderella is a revelation! Who needs to hang about waiting for Prince Charming anyway? This highly anticipated new musical comedy stars Carrie Hope Fletcher as Cinderella in the world’s best loved fairy tale. Just don’t expect this fairy tale princess to take things lying down! With a book by 2021 OSCAR winner Emerald Fennell (Promising Young Women), this is Cinderella as you’ve never seen her before.
Cinderella features a brand new score by Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber (Evita, Phantom of the Opera, Sunset Boulevard) with lyrics by Oscar® nominee David Zippel (City of Angels, The Woman In White).
Carrie Hope Fletcher (Cinderella) is best known for her West End performances in Heathers and Les Misérables, but Cinderella is set to send her career into the stratosphere! That’s also true of Ivano Turco, who’s just graduated from the Urdang Academy. He auditioned as a dancer, but his triple-threat talent shone through in auditions. Ivano Turco will soon be a household name - watch out for him as the gorgeous Prince Sebastian.
Cinderella Songs
We’ve been teased by the wonderful Only You, Lonely You, Bad Cinderella and I Know I Have A Heart. With other songs including the beautiful Far Too Late, this is shaping up to be Andrew Lloyd Webber’s best ever score.

Seven more times Cinderella went to the ball in musicals
Not only has Cinderella appeared numerous times on the silver screen, she’s also pretty popular in musicals. Check out seven more times this princess has shown off her singing:
1. Rogers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella – this 1957 musical featured Julie Andrews and was remade in 1997 with Whitney Houston, Whoopi Goldberg and Bernadette Peters. Such fun!
2. The Slipper and the Rose – this 1976 Sherman Brothers musical (the team behind Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Mary Poppins) starred Gemma Craven and Richard Chamberlain. It’s the perfect film for a rainy afternoon.
3. Soho Cinders – this stage musical was written by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe (Betty Blue Eyes, Honk!) and sees Cinders swapping gender. It’s very funny – catch it if it returns!
4. Into The Woods – this Stephen Sondheim musical transitioned from stage to screen in 2014, starring the ever-fabulous Meryl Streep as The Witch, and Anna Kendrick as Cinderella.
5. Sisterella – this musical spoof of Cinderella was produced and presented by Michael Jackson. It was scheduled for Broadway in 1997 but didn’t quite make it, despite touring the US, Europe and Australia
6. Ever After The Musical – this musical played at the Paper Mill Playhouse, New Jersey and featured broadway legend Christine Ebersole. It’s only loosely based on Cinderella, but it’s close enough to count!
7. Sneakerella – this gender-swapped American musical comedy film was produced by Disney Channel about a young man who dreams of designing sneakers. There’s even a fairy godfather. Imagine that!

I left before the interval. It was ditch dull boring; humour that would appeal to a 14 year old boy and wadnt worth me wasting any more of my time watching it. Best part of the afternoon was a McFlurry on the way back to the tube station

Booked this last minute for my daughters and I. Loved the rotating stage and how much thought had been put into making me feel a part of the ball. There are some very funny gags and a great plot twist. Felt horrid for the cast that the show has been cancelled and - although the performance was great -wondered if there was a bit of apathy with regards to perfection. Technical problems stopped the show within the first 15 minutes

Sparkling, original, inspired version of the fairytale with absolutely standout performances from the whole cast. It’s almost not right to single anyone out, but it’s Carrie Hope Fletcher’s moment (Though she is wonderfully supported by everyone else) I’m so sorry this is closing. It’s the most sophisticated, lavish and heart warming Cinderella ever. And the score and lyrics are beautiful, fun and adorable. May you return soon!

Absolutely loved the staging with the turntable stage and twinkle fairy lights. The cast were WOW just incredible, great singing, humour and impeccable timing. Great story from Andrew Lloyd Webber and perfectly acted by Carrie Hope Fletcher, Ivan Turco and the rest of the cast. So glad I got to see it before it closes. BRAVO 👏 👏

Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cinderella was AMAZING and Carrie Hope Fletcher is an absolute Queen as Cinderella she has such an insane voice and personality and Stage Presence in fact the whole cast are absolutely incredible and so engaging with the Audience making you feel part of the Story. The stage has a revolve in the Middle so the set was always Changing. AND one BIG SURPRISE that i was not in a million Years Expecting but you will have to see the Show to Find out but i will say Mind Blowing is an Understatement. Definitely Worth seeing.

For 18 pounds you too can be subject to three hours of boring ballads and mediocre leads. The three stars are for the incredible ensemble and supporting cast, the lighting design and the costumes. Jesus Christ, why did that girl get the lead.

It’s a very good show. I’ve been 3 times to see it and yesterday I really missed Carrie Fletcher. Lauren Byrne has a beautiful voice, but Carrie has a special kind of malice that was really missed.

We loved Cinderella from the moment we entered the theatre - which looked lovely and we enjoyed the photo opportunity at the entrance. After such a long time without live performances, it was a joy to experience the fantastic singers, musicians and staging of this excellent show. It's a unique take on the classic story, up to date, edgy and exciting.
