Everybody's Talking About Jamie tickets
Out of the darkness…into the spotlight…back to the place where we belong.
Everybody is talking about the West End’s first major musical to reopen. With a hotly-anticipated new film adaptation due to be released in February 2021, be one of the first to see Everybody’s Talking About Jamie as it triumphantly returns to the Apollo Theatre and celebrates its 3rd birthday!
Inspired by a true story, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is the award-winning hit musical for today - bang up to date, more relevant than ever and specially updated for the times we live in today.
Jamie New is sixteen and lives on a council estate in Sheffield. Jamie doesn’t quite fit in. Jamie is terrified about the future. He is going to be a sensation.
Supported by his brilliant loving mum and surrounded by his friends, Jamie overcomes prejudice, beats the bullies and steps out of the darkness, into the spotlight.
Noah Thomas, Melissa Jacques, Sejal Keshwala, Hiba Elchikhe, Gillian Ford and Phil Nichol as Hugo/Loco Chanelle, lead the show’s return back to the West End, with a twenty-five strong company and a nine-piece band that will ‘sweep you away on a tide of mischief, warmth and exuberance’ (Financial Times).
With ‘songs that have the wow factor’ (The Times) by lead singer-songwriter of The Feeling, Dan Gillespie Sells, and ‘hilarious’ book and lyrics ‘with delightful punch’ (Whatsonstage), by writer Tom MacRae, this funny, feel-good, musical sensation is ready to be your much-needed glitter in the grey as it reopens at the Apollo Theatre.
Customer Reviews
The performances were very good but felt the language was a bit too strong and unecessary at times. Nevertheless we enjoyed the show ever though we couldn't see very much of the stage
Forget about all the other shows on earth, and concentrate on this one!! It was amazing and just goes to show how special we can be in our own way. Lily, age 11 👍
This story starts in a class of teenagers and blossoms into many daily relationship issues that are adult themed as life grows up and we deal with prejudices in life in all cultures. It has alot of funny bits along the way and fabulous singing by the cast. My daughter and me thoroughly enjoyed it.
The play was amazing! I went home with a big smile on my face, feeling inspired. 10/10 would go again. I'm german with quite good English and I understood mostly everything.
Loved everything about it ..... fantastic show
Just brilliant! Singing, & in particular some of the dancing exceptionally good. Tackled some quite hard subjects especially bullying, when you almost wanted to BOO as so appauling. Jamie was portrayed amazingly well, everyone was rooting for him from the start to just be himself. The Asian girl was tremendous in everyway. Well done for such a production, you came out feeling so uplifted and hoping some of the prejudices described will in the future just fade away and everyone be who ever they want to be! xx
Loved it - cast were brilliant, a good fun production! 🤩
It’s the first musical I’ve been to and it was amazing, would highly recommend to friends and family
Absolutely loved it.... What an amazingly uplifting but in parts heart tugging show. Love love love ❤️
Most amazing uplifting show. We laughed we cried. The singing was simply amazing. Will definitely be seeing this again x.
What a blast! Full on from beginning to end. Full range of emotions but left with a massive smile on my face. Everyone should go see Jamie never mind talk about him!
This musical should be seen by all secondary school pupils. It challenges bigotry and racism. This would enable them to grow up more united and embracing than their elders who should be ashamed.
Superb performances. It was a fun and also poignant show
Very funny from start to finish. True to today. Costumes were brilliant. Sound very clear. Brilliant atmosphere.
This was a gift for my 19 year old law student, son. He went to see this show with his sister, 21. They said collectively that of all the musicals they had ever seen this was absolutely THE best ever. Totally blew them away.
Absolutely fantastic show!! Considering it’s relatively new it’s one of the best I’ve seen!!! Certainly a must see.
great story, music, and performances - the family loved it
What a fantastic heart warming story of a boys true struggle with his identity and how he coped . It was upbeat, very funny. Layton Williams is outstanding as Jamie, along with a diverse cast (nice to see). My family and I had a great time
Really modern, funny and emotional. The whole family enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend.
Best show ever full of energy emotion and feeling all of the cast were superb Layton you are a True star 🌟 !
The cast and the props were very good and there was a story line with a moral. But was it necessary to have so much heavy swearing? I took my grandaughters aged 13 and 15 and felt quite uncomfortable. Did other reviews warn of bad language? Had I known I would not have taken them to see the show.
Brilliant!
Amazing performances, real feel good factor we loved every minute
Definitely worth seeing
I cannot express enough how much we loved this bloody show, the sound was excellent the cast were beautiful, everything was perfect! Did go to stage door afterwards and the actors and actresses were super sweet and funny (vinegar is the best hugger btw) Layton was such a sweetie, didn’t meet Bianca but he was just as incredible in the show!
What an excellent performance by all. Hugely over exceeded our excitable expectations. This show is placed in a beautiful venue and held a packed audience to maintain an individual performance feel. The talent and diversity of skills through comedy, vocals and different dance styles is a credit to all involved in the production.
took my friend to see this this as a Christmas treat. I had already seen it once before but was still just as amazing! I will definitely be going back to see it for a 3rd time. :)
Saw it twice before but must admit this time was the best... Excellent performance from all the actors , but Specially Jamie and Bianca Del Río.... a must see show....AMAZING
Love love love this show Bianca Del Rio the most amazing Drag Queen made the show extra special!
Saw it for the fourth time and it was also the fourth time seeing the alternative Jamie, an amazing young actor Luke Latchman. This story is amazing and as someone who used to work in education I believe all young people should see this show. It makes you laugh and cry. Such a moving story. I have since watched the original bbc3 documentary and the show portrays the real Jamie wonderfully
Fantastic performance from Priti and Jamie’s mother. Outstanding singing voices. Funny, entertaining and emotional.
What an AMAZING show. Great dancing, sensitive dialogue, super acting and excellent supporting music ensemble. This show is a real hit... audience participation at the end helped you leave with a feel, good factor. Intend to return with my daughters to watch it once again.
Absolutely Fantastic
Jamie was not played by Layton Williams when we went to see the musical. The stand-in’s singing was very poor. The music was very loud so protect your ears if you decide to go see it. The English is at times hard to understand if it is not your first language. The dancing is comparable to what you would see in an average school play. We left after the first half. This simply does not meet the standard you would expect from a West End musical.
I laughed, I cried, I was moved, I was in absolute awe....my two teenage sons loved it!
I loved it so so uplifting and beautiful
Really loved this show. I thought the cast were fantastic - really great singing and dancing and the whole production was amazing.
This has to be one of the best shows I have seen in a long time and I have seen most. The acting, singing and the overall staging was top class. I laughed and I cried and I was sorry it was over. Well done to everyone involved.
I totally loved it and related to it on a very personal level having a wonderful gay son who is into the performing arts
omg... I was blown away... the music was fantastic, the dancing was on point & the script... emotional, honest & heart warming... as for Layton WOW I love him, his portrayal of Jamie was touching & funny in equal measures... he’s a star who belongs right up there... well done sweet pea..👏🏼👏🏼 Everyone should be talking about Jamie for a long time to come 🥰
Un musical que trata sobre el acoso escolar lgtb, un canto a la libertad, un musical drag que nadie debería perderse!!!
