Modanse starring Svetlana Zakharova
Internationally acclaimed ballerina Svetlana Zakharova – the Bolshoi’s prima – is famous for thrilling audiences and critics all over the world with her formidable technique and her sparkling dramatic interpretation of classical and contemporary roles.
Following Amore, her sell-out 2017 programme, Zakharova returns to the London Coliseum in December with Modanse – a brand-new double bill produced by MuzArts.
Zakharova will be joined on stage by a star-studded cast of dancers from the Bolshoi Ballet, including Mikhail Lobukhin, Vaycheslav Lopatin, Denis Savin, Jacopo Tissi and Ana Turazashvili.

I bought these tickets as a present for my other half as she loves both ballet and fashion, in particular Coco Chanel. She found Modanse to be stunningly scripted and serenely spellbinding. The artistic vision required to re-tell such a rich and stylistic story in such a short timespan, to make it both authentic and exquisite, was nothing short of genius. The bold display of Coco’s fashion, fused with the formidable ballet talent of Zvetlana Zahkarova and her fellow dancers was a captivating combination. My other half has been to see some of the most prodigious ballet performances in London and mentioned that it was incredibly refreshing to witness something so fresh and intriguing, learning more about Coco Chanel’s story in such a way was a delight. An incredible ballet performance.

The second half of this two ballet bill was delightful. Exceptional dancing with fairly complicated choreography. The ballet managed to encapsulate most elements of Chanel's life. Costumes were sublime. First half of the bill was less to my liking but that's personal - guess l like story ballets. The dancing was still amazing.

If you have the chance grab the ticket and experience an amazing performance by Svetlana Zakharova, the storyline of Coco Chane'sl life is brought to the stage with wonderful staging and musical score. Breathtaking performances from the stars of the Bolshoi ballet, a show stopper!

This was quite beautiful. Very different to the previous ballet from Svetlana, but nonetheless performed with the same effortless grace and precision as before. It’s like watching the Roger Federer or Kelly Slater of ballet.

Only saw the first half. Uninspiring and awkward. Awful recorded music, little in the way of staging or lighting. Enjoyable for the first ten minutes, then got repetitive. Waited for something different which never came. Cannot comment on second half, was so bored I left during interval.

Thank you for such a special opportunity to come and see Svetlana and Bolshoi ballet. I am still under influence from the dancing, technique, story line, decorations, costumes. Stellar performance! It was some sort of magic that was happening last night in Coliseum.
