Clever, well constructed and some amazing performances.. ghost stories keeps you in suspense as each story carefully unfolds. One of the best shows I’ve seen will keep you on the edge of your seat
I’m quite an anxious person so was a little bit worried about this. But it was absolutely incredible! So well done, so well performed and such great stories. Actors were amazing and the will be recommending to all my friends!
We absolutely loved it!! Amazing acting and felt like we were hanging on the edge of our seats!! Lighting and sound effects were brilliant creating a scary and eerie atmosphere. Great value for money. Would highly recommend it.
Come to watch the show without any particular expectation and without any expectation! The show was kind of scary and the actors was amazing!
not that scary as I thought before. however the ending is out of my imagination
Absolutely brilliant, really enjoyed the show . Definitely recommend.
Very atmospheric...created an air of disquiet, as soon as you took your seat...got goosebumps...made you jump in many places...and my daughter screamed at one point...thoroughly recommend. Great performances from all!
Was ok but not what I was expecting. Not very scary at all despite the warnings. Was left feeling disappointed. Good stage effects though.
Loved this play. Jumpy moments all the way through..with enough to think about throughout and after once it's over.
Slapstick comedy rather than scary. For the most part was fairly mundane. Several people walked out before the ending, only wish we'd done the same.
I truly love being scared out of my wits! You are really missing out on the fear factor here if you haven't seen this!
Jump out your seat, great fun
The first half consisted mainly of jump scares but as the show progressed, the complexity of the plot was revealed; the twist at the end was imaginative and unexpected, bringing together all of the previous acts. The characters were well developed and performance in general was excellent. The stage sets and special effects were particularly well designed. Overall a very enjoyable show although not quite as terrifying as promised. I would recommend.
I went to the play with a view of ‘how scary can a live play be?’ But clever lighting and sound ( sometimes overly grating sound) gives this play a spooky atmosphere from the beginning. If you’ve seen the film, you’ll know some of what to expect, but worth a visit..
Have to say this was poor, such a let down , thought it was meant to be scary, believe me if I could get a refund I would ask for one . Don’t waste your money on this very poor show!! I’m sure no one will get back to me so this is a waste of time!!!
Edge of your seat fantastic horror I was glued to it and as a horror fan was a little confused with how many times I jumped ! Fantastic show well worth seeing 😱😱😱
Wasn’t sure what to expect as not been to anything like it before it was very well thought out and the ending unexpected I went with my boyfriend daughter and her boyfriend and we all thoughly enjoyed it
Saw this a few years ago and loved it. Was even better this time round and even scarier.
Bone chilling terrifying play!
Seats very small if over 5ft8ins
Length of show (90mins) did not justify the ticket price. Although all characters were well portrayed, the production seemed to be done on the cheap. The ending was a good twist, the sound effects were a little too loud, which was chiefly what made you jump, rather than the cheap effects
A bit sceptical how it would work but work it did. Good storylines & acting. Highly recommended viewing
Not what I was expecting at all ! Found it a bit long winded and boring didn’t make me jump at all and the stories was a bit bland and predictable.. wanted to get up and leave and when we thought it was half time it had actually finished . Very disappointed and very overpriced for what it was and for a beer and cider £14 absolutel joke that was the most scariest bit for me !
Clever and very atmospheric. Impossible not to scream
Brilliant show. Having seen the film I had to revisit after seeing this performance and even made the film better. The effects were very well done and the actors we spot on. Nice to see Garry Cooper in a role as remember him from the vice. Great to see the authors going back to the amicus era which were great films. Need more of this in tv,cinema and stage. Well done all involved. Good to release a video of the show.
Fun show with some real thrills.
The story line was well written and I enjoyed the show, although my 15 year found it scary at times. I booked through Box Office - ATG and I was charged £78 for a £65 ticket. Book direct with the theatre so as not to incur these unnecessary charges. It is expensive to go to the theatre and with these extra charges I feel ripped off. I certainly wont ever be booking again with ATG Tickets again.
A very enjoyable play with a nice twist at the end
I never got scared, but you guys:) I’ve screamed at loud twice. Very cool. Thnx
I'm not normally inclined to 'horror' but enjoyed this more so than I thought I would. It did make me jump and I'm glad I took the time to experience something different.... and this certainly was (but in a good and entertaining way).
It's not what i had in mind, but provided enough surprices to keep it interesting.
I particularly wanted to see this on Halloween 🎃.... having seen the film and been petrified I thought I would be in for a fright. It wasn’t as chilling as the film (I watched that alone at night) but was excellent. The girl in front of me kept jumping out of her seat and yelping’ ‘sh*ting hell’. Afterwards she told me she had seen the film too, which just goes to show how good it was!
This was an amazing show. It full immerses you into the stories. I enjoyed being sat in front of a speaker as it made things that bit creepier. The atmosphere was delightfully freaky with all the theatre made up to look abandoned. Highly recommend and want to say thank you to all the staff and actors for doing such a great job. Overall a fantastic evening and would come back.
It wos a very nice show. I liked it.
We enjoyed the play, something different and well acted. A few bumps in the night too .
Loved the sound effects, loved the staging, the actors were all perfectly cast. Saw this the first time round and took my husband to see this version, it didn’t disappoint. Wonderfully old-fashioned scary, a real talent to achieve fear on stage. Much better than the disappointing movie.
Incredibly clever production and set design. The story is engaging and the actors phenomenal
