"You will not see a better production of this masterpiece"
The critically acclaimed production from English Touring Theatre and Theatre Royal Stratford East of Peter Shaffer’s award-winning play Equus transfers to the West End for a strictly limited season.
When teenager Alan Strang’s pathological fascination leads him to blind six horses in a Hampshire stable, psychiatrist Dr. Martin Dysart is tasked with uncovering the motive behind the boy’s actions. As Dysart delves into Alan’s world of twisted spirituality, passion and sexuality, he begins to question his own sanity and motivations in a world driven by consumerism.
Inspired by a true story, Peter Shaffer’s ‘mesmerising’ (Evening Standard) and transfixing psychological thriller is re-imagined by award-winning director Ned Bennett in this ‘dazzling new revival’ (Sunday Times) at London’s Trafalgar Studios for 9 weeks only.
This is the Best Play ever! Stellar performance from all. Wow Wow Wow
A play I have seen before so know what to expect. Acting - first class and production excellent. Highly recommended.
You just can’t get what Ned Bennett does with a stage anywhere else. Absolutely stunning and bold images across the production that leave you unable to talk for a couple of minutes afterwards. Didn’t find myself particularly emotionally attached and didn’t speak about it much after but was a great experience.
This is really really worth seeing. With literally no set it is an incredibly powerful play. All the actors were amazing especially the one playing Nugget. Who would have believed that a person portraying a horse could actually achieve it. It was breathtaking. Captivating fom beginning to end.
Fresh, exciting performance. Please go see it!
A good play and fantastic stage direction. Definitely worth seeing.
