I've read the book, as had the others in my group whom I went with. Some of my group have experienced the NHS from a patient perspective (like most people) and some of us as nurses working within it. The show was funny, especially the songs. Adam is true to himself and his life as a doctor in his diary readings but the songs reflected a satirical and very funny view of a doctor's role. Overall, very enjoyable but only lasted about an hour and 10 minutes. On a negative side, the theatre was unbearably hot as it had been 33 degrees that day! Although there was a doctor in the house, fortunately his medical expertise was not required as luckily no one passed out in the heat....

Having read the book before I saw the show (my mistake), much of the script was familiar. What was new was the very funny songs. It helped if you knew medical terminology. Many medics in the audience, and his heart-felt appeal for support made the closing thought-provoking. Funny, vulgar and mordant. I await his next.

Every day life of a junior doctor showed in a humourous although realistic way. I hope it will help general public to understand what nurses and doctors are going through during their taining and appreciate their efforst despite of current NHS climate. I was impressed that Adam had a courage to speak up about disgraceful views of JH.

Having read the book I had high expectations and Adam Kay did not disappoint! Laugh out loud funny and we loved the parody songs - hilarious! Adam's account of his time at the NHS and the reason behind his leaving saw a more serious tone to the show, it was extremely poignant and very well delivered.

Didn’t really know what to expect and loved every minute of it. Some great real life comedy stories, and songs. What a treat this was.
