Le Corsaire tickets
Travel to a faraway land for the adventures of a dashing pirate, Conrad, and his feisty girlfriend Medora. Will they outfox villainous schemers and find happiness on the high seas?
English National Ballet’s Le Corsaire is “hugely enjoyable entertainment” (The Daily Telegraph). Expect a swashbuckling romp, full of thrilling dancing by an extraordinary cast of performers, with gorgeous decors and costumes created by Hollywood’s Bob Ringwood, all set to a romantic score played live by English National Ballet Philharmonic.
English National Ballet is the only UK company to perform this classic story ballet. Their extravagant production, staged by Anna-Marie Holmes, has enthralled audiences and received rave reviews worldwide, including Paris and Tokyo. It returns to the London Coliseum following glorious performances in 2016.

Le Corsaire reviews
Excellent ballet story. I very much enjoyed it that I went to see it twice.
I am more a fan of contemporary dance, but I did not regret a minute to choose this show!
Absolutely loved it! Superb choreography, clever footwork, wonderful costumes, emotion sewn into them:-) Made me admire the human form as only ballet can
Such strong dancers especially the men . 3rd act was out of place but still fabulously danced
The dancing was very impressive, with an enthusiastic Bravo caller in the audience. More of a story developed in Acts 2 and 3.
I had seen excerpts from the ballet previously and always been amazed by the energy and athleticism involved. The complete production did not disappoint, being very much in the same vein throughout. Glorious, colorful and exotic costumes and sets capturing all manner of Romantic Eastern luxuries definitely banished the winter blues. The dancing was breath taking; technically challenging and beautifully presented by all. Don't look too hard for a plot but, for an evening of unashamed entertainment as only ballet can deliver, you could not do much better!
From the specially designed curtain to the final shipwreck, this is a wonderful production. Thrilling dancing throughout and an appealing score beautifully played by the ENB Phil.
Action packed engaging story with some fantastic solo dances as well as superb whole company ....I counted 20 on stage at one time. The dancers are exceptional in their capabilities e.g. Conrad's slave. Most enjoyable. The music was fitting and swept us along.
A stunning performance. The dancers were superb and the scenery and costumes coplemented the dancing. It was a vibrant and exciting performance, riveting one's attention from beginning to end.
My first live ballet experience was even more amazing than I expected and I was completely mesmerised by the superb performance of the entire cast. Wonderful, indescribable, life enhancing experience.
Nice to see that classic ballet is attracts loads of people. The dances were good, some of them I would like to see more. Theatre is unique and worth seeing. Would recommend
Exquisite performance. Particularly excellent were the leading man and the comedy of the pasha
Wonderful!
We had a brilliant time, enjoyed from first to last moment.
If you like ballet, you will like it.
Excellent production! Fabulous performance and costumes.
I loved the ballet. The music was excellent.
An average night given in recognition of the talent but a flat storyline
This is a master-class in crowd-control. The extensive young and enthusiastic cast, when appropriate, move as one, but the stage is never without local interest.
Le Corsaire was glitzy, technically very well executed and the lead male dancers leaps were phenominally high and technically brilliant! Thoroughly enjoyed the whole fairytale... to be transported to another world where one's day to day humdrum was stilled for the duration, was desperately needed!
Fab
Thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end. Fantastic dancing and colourful costumes.
dancing, set, costumes, music all quite wonderful. Something different thoroughly enjoyed it.
We saw the matinee performance. Absolutely loved it. Didn’t know the story at all but bought a program which told the story. All the ballet performers were superb and breathtaking at times. We sat on the balcony in row c and the view was absolutely fine. Highly recommend this show.
Excellent production . The sets beautiful and costumes stunning and as for the ballet — top class . Knew a bit about the story but program considering it is £6 should have a full story so that we know who is who in the story .
excellent production
A glorious bravura spectacle. Colourful and lush sets give ground to the company who then take to the air with dazzling leaps aplenty! A fabulous way to have fun in January.
Anyone who loves dancing/ballet would enjoy this show.
The male dancers performances are outstanding in this ballet. I really enjoyed the show.
It was wonderful And for only £10! A great afternoon Thank you
ıt was not only a ballet, it was like a dreaming. ıt was an amazing show.
Seat row B stalls at the Coliseum was brilliant view. The ballet was brilliant . Dancers outstanding . Costumes and music all excellent . It exceeded my expectation
Absolutely loved every second of it. The costumes were beautiful and the ballet incredible. Would highly recommend!
ENOs Le Corsaire is a beautiful powerful production with some wonderful set pieces. The high leaps and twists from the male dancers are a joy to watch and the ballet gives wonderful opportunities for the males leads to strut their stuff- which they did with style and verve. The female leads also show cases wonderful dances - I lost complete count of the number of twirls in once lovely dance. Act 2 my favourite but the whole ballet was a joy to see.
My first ballet show in London Coliseum excellent sooo soothing acts performances everything was high standard 👏💕👍
Beautiful ballet
Very hard to find sufficiently strong complimentary words for this performance. It was truly amazing, I just wish I could see it again! Well done everyone.
