Miss Cackle’s Academy for Witches is now accepting new students. So make sure you know the Witches’ Code, get yourself a familiar, and let Mildred Hubble show you the ropes!
Mildred Hubble is just an ordinary girl who found herself in an extraordinary place: a school for witches. But not everyone is thrilled by Mildred’s unexpected arrival and her less than predictable ways. Can she overcome the objections of stern Miss Hardbroom and the conniving tricks of jealous Ethel Hallow?
Now in her final year, accident-prone Mildred and her fellow pupils are about to embark on their most important mission yet, when an old enemy returns with a plan for revenge that threatens not just the Academy, but the whole world…
Featuring all of Jill Murphy’s beloved characters, this action-packed new stage adaptation by Emma Reeves (Hetty Feather) is directed by Theresa Heskins (2017 UK Theatre Award for Best Show for Children and Young People) and includes original songs, music, magic and a dose of Mildred’s unique brand of utter pandemonium!

The Worst Witch reviews
Fantastic! Great acting, very buzzing performance!!! We really enjoyed the show!!! Thank you.
The performance by all the cast was excellent, appealing to adults and children. The band was first class. The atmosphere, particularly during 'audience participation' was boisterous and energising. All in all, a treat and an afternoon well spent for me and my 7 year old granddaughter. I'm not sure which one of us enjoyed it the most.
I didn’t expect it to be this good. I went with my 7 and 8 year old daughters and we all enjoyed the show! But there were much younger kids too. It was spectacular and every minute enjoyable. I really can’t say anything negative about it.
Brilliant performance and great acting. My daughter loved that the cast moved amongst the audience before the show began. Great day out.
What can I say it was just brilliant, the cast are amazing and so talented. I took my 8 year old daughter who was thrilled to bits and did not fidget once!
Great fun for Dad and 8 year old daughter. Musician/actresses were fantastic and theatre is a cool small venue.
We took our 6 year old daughter as a surprise. She is obsessed with the novels and the tv adaptation and we regularly find her 'playing potions'. She was transfixed from the moment that actors entered the auditorium to the finale. My husband and I also loved it. Such a brilliant show. So glad we got last minute tickets!
Excellent show, very entertaining for both my 7 year old daughter and myself!
The show was brilliant! Loved the fact the cast covered a variety of roles with the music included . Very well done & lovely touch of the characters mixing with the audience in the beginning! Kids loved it. Highly recommended 😊
My daughter enjoyed it very much (7) I thought the character of Agatha was a little over the top and some unnecessary scenes of violence. Besides that it was enjoyable with down good references to the tv series.
My husband and I took our six year old son to see this last night. We all had a truly fantastic night out at the theatre. My son is no stranger to the theatre and has seen everything from Charlie and the chocolate factory, Matilda, Aladdin, School of Rock to just about every pantomime going. He has read all the Worst Witch books with me and loved seeing all his favourite characters come to life. From the clever magic tricks (Enid hiding in a suitcase was his favourite) to the witching songs and great choreography, the look on his face throughout was a picture and whilst my husband and I also enjoyed the show, the best part for us was watching how much he loved and absorbed. We’ve seen Harry Potter too and whilst this clearly has much more modest production costs I wouldn’t have said you scrimped in any way on the set design or costumes. It was perfect. Nothing better. Thank you and well done to all cast, marvellous performances, especially from characters Ethel Hallow and Agatha “Evil Twin” Cackle Lily Bourne
The show was good . I had bought circle seats row K so nobody behind us. Unfortunately the child in front insisted on wearing a witches hat which obscured my granddaughter’s view, even with a booster seat and the mother in front on me worn a hair band with cats ears so I had to look to my right to see the whole stage. Why do people do that!!!!
I grabbed some tickets last minute for my 8 year old daughter. She was captivated!! The show has humour for both adults and children, it's well put together and flows nicely. Defo recommend and I ain't no theatre lover
I took my daughter to see this show yesterday and we both thoroughly enjoyed it! We have been reading the stories and they were my favourite books as a child. In her words the show was 'amazing'. She was scared to meet Miss Hardbroom (clearly my voice at home was too scary) but the acting was brilliant. Miss Cackle/Agatha stole the show for me, the laughter ringing around the theatre was testament to that. Great songs, great energy and one of the witches spoke to my daughter before the show started which was awesome. I loved the background music that was playing throughout by the talented musicians and if we had more time, we would see it again!
Took my 6 year old daughter - we both loved! I laughed lots, got goosebumps from the amazing musical talents of the cast and even shed a tear at the end! Superb cast, stage, music and production. Would happily go again!
This show was amazing!! The small, intimate theatre really made for a great atmosphere. All the actors were great, but specially Miss Cackle and her evil twin. An experience with all enjoyed.
Lovely show - good fun !
An amazing performance with great actor/ audience interaction. My daughter really enjoyed it having been a great fan of the books and tv adaptation.
A brilliant show. I took my daughter and grandchildren aged 6, 10 and 13. We all loved it,!!!!!!
I took an eleven and nine year old to this show but there were children of all ages there who all had a great time. Lots of laughter, cheers and of course boo’s. the cast work so hard to create a fun and entertaining show.
Hi energy performances all round - a great show .
I shall try to keep this spoiler-free, but it very much so is a performance of two halves. And it works. The storyline is true to the magic and wonder of the books, the characterisation is fantastic- the cast, ohmybats the cast were beautiful! If you enjoy theatre in any way, if you like the Worst Witch or have a fondness for Harry Potter - go and see this production. 10/10.
I took my 5 year old granddaughter to see the show and we both loved it x
The show was an absolute delight from start to finish. I had no idea what to expect and I was more than pleasantly surprised. The all-female cast were fantastic and multi-talented. The songs were great; the physical stunts were awesome and the audience engagement was very funny!
My grand daughters (twins) loved this so much... We had an exciting day , the show met their expectations and more We talked about it all the way back to Kent.
The young cast were fantastic. The musical is perfect to take young children to the theatre for the first time. The length of the musical was perfect for my 7 year old.
Brilliant show. Must see if you are a witches fan
Granddaughter enjoyed it
We were the only group of boys in a sea of girls who obviously love the books. But we were enchanted by the clever acting, acrobatics, music and interaction of the show. Highly recommended.
We took our 7 year old daughter as a treat! What a show! Great actors, brilliant musicians on stage all part of the show. Great for all family to enjoy! Would love to see again!!!
Took my almost six year old and we both enjoyed the show. The original music was played deftly on stage by members of the cast. The story was a clever adaptation of Jill Murphy’s classic original story. It was easy to follow and there were some great effects. The baddie was not super scary for little ones but she was bad enough to fit the story. Booster seats were available at no extra cost. Merchandise was reasonably priced (for a change) and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
I took my little girl who is 8 to the show. She loved it, especially seeing the characters walk round the seats before the show. It was definitely one of the best shows we have seen, with a little bit for everyone.
Really excellent musical! My 6 years old girls enjoyed so much that they would love to watch it again!!! The actresses were so talented in all areas singing, dancing, acting and of course in MAGICS! I really loved how they interacted with the audience from the really begging to the really end!
I took my daughter to see the show yesterday... we both absolutely loved it! Amazing!
What a wonderful show, my daughter is a huge fan of the worst witch and thoroughly enjoyed it
I was surprised how much I enjoyed the show. The acting and singing were excellent and my 9 year old loved it. It's officially her new favourite west end show!
