Fiddler on the Roof tickets
Direct from its sold-out run at the Menier Chocolate Factory, Tony and Olivier award-winning director Trevor Nunn‘s ‘exuberant revival’ (Daily Telegraph) of the classic Broadway musical Fiddler on the Roof transfers to the West End for a strictly limited run. The Playhouse Theatre has been specially transformed into an intimate space which will envelop you in the beloved story of Tevye and his family.
Old traditions and young love collide in this joyous and timely celebration of life starring Andy Nyman as Tevye, Maria Friedman as Golde and Anita Dobson as the Matchmaker, Yente. Tevye’s daughters’ unexpected choice of husbands opens his heart to new possibilities, as his close-knit community also feels the winds of change blowing through their tiny village.
Featuring the iconic score including ‘Tradition’, ‘Matchmaker, Matchmaker’, ‘Sunrise, Sunset’ and ‘If I Were a Rich Man’, and featuring original choreography from Tony award-winning Jerome Robbins alongside new choreography by Matt Cole, Fiddler on the Roof ‘bursts from the stage’ (Financial Times), bringing new life to one of the most beloved musicals of all time.
Fiddler on the Roof reviews
Shame it was such a short run , so many people I know still want to see it and they really have missed out as its Fab
Saw this fab musical yesterday, had everything g8 music singing, laughter & sadness, the show went so fast could watch it all over again is a shame it’s due to close soon. Well done to all. Christine
The show blew my mind. We loved it! Fabulous!
Excellent show, thoroughly enjoyed. Acting, singing & dancing first class.
Stunning powerful performance... this show should be allowed to have a VERY long run in the West End
Brilliant show with first class cast, such enthusiasm and perfect casting.
Thoroughly enjoyed Fiddler on the Roof all the way through. Wonderful acting, singing, dancing. Very entertaining indeed. Thank you.

The best show I have seen.
The show is spectacular. It really exceeded my expectations. The acting, the music, the script and dance were keeping the audience captivated. What a treat!
Excellent show can’t fault a thing.... loved it all. Long show but had no clue as time just whizzed by... whole cast are amazing. Definitely a must see
Seen Fidler on the Roof twice before but this was by far the best production . An incredible performance made all the better by the intimacy of the Playhouse Theatre. I go to the theatre a lot not just musicals which I love and I recommend this show without reservation as on of the best musicals I have seen from a very long list. You will leave the theatre uplifted with a smile on your face .
Amazing performances! A show not to miss!
Thoroughly enjoyed Ride let on the roof from the start to the end. Singing was excellent. Scenery was very atmospheric.
The production was fantastic. The cast were unbelievable, polished performances, thoughtful and touching. So much talent. The best theatre show I’ve seen in ages.
I saw the matinee of Fiddler on the Roof on Saturday 3rd August 2019 with my Mum & sister, we absolutely loved it. The theatre is lovely and the scenery was brilliant, they way it was around the walls felt you were part of the show. We sat in the stalls (N17,18 &19) we had an excellent view & it was great as it was just 3 seats together at the back. The actors were all very good, it was very professional. Well done to all the cast and everyone who works in the theatre you are all brilliant. I would recommend that you see this show, it's wonderful.
We were in the stalls and felt like we were on the stage. Really well done, great cast - lots of talent, I thoroughly recommend this. Bravo.
Fantastic cast. Their performance was wonderful. Only ever seen the film and forgot what wonderful songs there are within the show.
Absolutely fabulous. Tevye excelled himself acting and singing. Wonderful musical and amazing songs. I think there is a message for the whole world in the show
Birthday treat for my daughter She loved the set- the cast especially as we sat by the end of a row and so were very close to the actors as they ran past during the play Would thoroughly recommend
I absolutely loved it, broke my heart and at the same time it was uplifting in the strength and love in families. X
This is probably the finest production of Fiddler I’ll ever see in a very long time. Skilfully choreographed, with a tight ensemble, rousing voices and emotionally sensitive. The Piccadilly stage is quite small but the ingenious direction and set design created the feel of the small town that resisted progress and held onto ‘tradition’. This is a show that requires so many complex details, all working hand in hand to the same end- some glorious touches, the costumes and lighting captured the warmth of the Jewish community. I lived the lone figure of the ‘Fiddler’ at the end as the characters walked through the falling snow. Never easy to single anyone out in such a strong cast, but Maria Friedman and Andy Nyman lead a superb company with a great character role from Anita Dobson! Magical. Just magical.
Great singing and dancing. A terrific evening. Go see.
It was a brilliant .
Loved the innovative start with actors milling on stage before the first scene. Theatre felt very intimate. Singing and diction was perfect throughout and the action cleverly made use of all available space. Minimal use of props. Great casting for all parts and a well-deserved standing ovation at the end reflected the appreciation of the audience. Loved it!
I greatly enjoyed it, as did my wife and granddaughter. I thought it was a good production with a skilled band and cast and great dancing
This is a completely wonderful musical and each and every performer was magnificent. The singing, dancing and acting were all first class and the standing ovation at the end was completely deserved. Definitely go and see this thought provoking and life affirming production if you can.
Having seen Fiddler on the Roof on at least six occasions (the last one being at Chichester 2 years' ago) we thoroughly enjoyed this production. The dancing was fantastic even better than the previous shows. We had a great experience, especially with Maria Friedman who was great.
Wonderful musical really enjoyed it and having seen it years ago appreciated now the whole story. Having come from similar background it evoked many emotions but loved the singing, the dancing and everyone who took part. Definitely recommend it
Absolutely amazing The best show Iv been too lately (and I go quite often. Thank you so much to each and everyone of you.
Staging makes you feel part of the production as the village pavements weave into the stalls. Songs are already well known and the acting and singing are superb really bringing out the hardship of life at the time and the social changes taking place. Humour is however always present so all round very entertaining. Highly recommended
The show was fabulous would recommend! However if booking seats at the playhouse do not pick front few rows of dress circle. It does say restricted view.., it is completely restricted for the front row .. so they try to move Forward in their seats , which restricts the view for a couple of rows behind!
Striking scenery using auditorium as well as stage. Excellent songs of course, but felt we were part of the show as characters came and went alongside us. Loved Tevye’s conversations with God, acted with such natural intimacy with his Lord. The acceptance of the unfairness of their life is a lesson for us in our more fortunate society today, but a reminder that these disadvantages still exist. Good life lessons from tales written in the 1900s.
Absolutely fantastic performance by the whole cast, well done everyone!!
The show was fantastic! All aspects of performance were brilliant and I was very moved by the ending which was so cleverly choreographed on a small stage
An absolutely amazing show, brilliant from start to finish. Everything was top notch, every performer was excellent. Best show I have seen in ages.
I was spellbound by this show. The set and costumes were amazing. It has the perfect balance of lightheartedness and emotion to keep you transfixed all of the time. Sound quality was excellent as well.
Absolutely amazing. Fabulous cast musicians set ,& theatre. A superb production. Really shouldn’t be missed.
From beginning to end, we were immersed in the storyline. Every single actor on that stage were 100% in character, 100% of the time, the songs and harmonies were fantastic and I would go and see it again in a heartbeat. Special mention for Andy Nyman who plays the lead role so perfectly and certainly knows how to work an audience. Absolutely outstanding!
As title.
Great production great company good singing voices all over a great version
Fiddler on the Roof at the Playhouse Theatre was absolutely brilliant. It was entertaining yet emotional which the cast portrayed so incredibly well. I will definitely be coming again! Thankyou for such a moving, amazing performance.
Enjoyed Fiddler on the Roof, music & singing made you feel good, the acting had humour, excellent entertainment
Saw Topol i Fiddler on the Roof 36 years ago so was a bit apprehensive going again. However the show was excellent with first class performances. A great production, well recommended.
Fantastic show!! Would see it again and again!
I saw the matinee performance on Saturday 25 May 2019. Wonderful show, fantastic singing, dancing and acting and so exuberant. I would definitely recommend it.
very well acted full off emotion and the singing .. you should produce a cd of the songs from the casts
It's a brilliant version of a fantastic musical with all the ingredients - great songs, story, cast, set - and absolutely fizzing with energy and brio.
My son (18) and I had a wonderful time watching Fiddler on the roof yesterday. We didn’t know much about the story, but absolutely loved this witty, heartwarming show! The main character is absolutely amazing. One of our favourite shows now! Xxx
Everything I hoped it would be and so much more, great cast and a fantastic production. So glad I hadn’t managed to see Fiddler on the Roof in New York as it couldn’t have topped this performance in this beautiful setting, the Playhouse is the perfect location. Can’t recommend this show enough.
