Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s multi award-winning musical MARY POPPINS returns to its original West End home at the Prince Edward Theatre from 23 October 2019.
The magical story of the world’s favourite Nanny is triumphantly and spectacularly brought to the stage with dazzling choreography, incredible effects and unforgettable songs. Starring Zizi Strallen, returning to play the title role following great acclaim on the recent sell-out international tour, and Charlie Stemp as Bert, who recently gave an award-winning performance as Arthur Kipps in Cameron Mackintosh’s production of Half A Sixpence.
The stage production of MARY POPPINS is brilliantly adapted from the wonderful stories by PL Travers and the original film. It is co-created by Cameron Mackintosh and has a book by Oscar-winning screenwriter and Downton Abbey creator, Julian Fellowes. With a timeless score by Richard M Sherman and Robert B Sherman including the classic songs; Jolly Holiday, Step in Time, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious and Feed the Birds with new songs and additional music and lyrics, including Practically Perfect, by the Olivier award-winning British team of George Stiles and Anthony Drewe.
Great fun loving show with great song and dance.Left the theatre with a smile on my face.
Great performance would go again
Wonderful show! Toe-tapping, sing-along extravaganza! Joyous start to the Christmas season for us. Magical!
I took my sister to watch this for her 30th birthday and her first experience of a West End Show.....she was completely overwhelmed. What an amazing production. Practically perfect in every way.
This was my familys first ever trip to a theatre and wow! we loved this performance from start to finish. As someone who has loved Mary Poppins since a child. I have encouraged my children to watch it as well. My 5 year old who cannot sit still or stop talking was enraptured for the whole performance and singing along to let's go fly a kite. Thank you for making this show and giving my children a magical experience
Performers were first class. A memorable night out.
Amazing production. Cleverly thought out to make Mary Poppins magical and believable.. Wonderful show for both adults and children. Would definitely recommend if you’d like to reminisce your childhood memories

This is the most amazing musical I have ever seen honestly I cannot believe how amazing the cast all are and the set truly magical
Absolutely amazing from start to finish. Best show we have ever seen. Will be telling everyone that I know to go and see it. Can’t rate it high enough it should have 10 stars ⭐️
No idea how they pulled that set off but it was surreal and magical in equal measure. So impressive, one of the cleverest and overwhelming sets I've ever seen on the West End. The cast were all flawless, and Mary Poppins' witchy humour was delightful. Would definitely see again.
Best show I have ever seen .
Amazing show but too long
We skipped out of Mary Poppins, what a truly amazing show. The costumes, music, cast, production values are a sight to behold. Went in feeling a little tired by life and skipped out the door!
I am 83 but loved every aspect of it the magical effects, wonderful dance routines especial the chimney sweep number and Mary Poppins flying over the audience.Pure magic
This production is fresh and wonderful. Loved every minute of it - and I’m hard to please!!
I just don’t know where to start what can I say I flew a kite fed the birds and stepped in time. A fantastic show suitable for all ages young and old. The tickets were a birthday pressie we sat in row k in the stalls and the view was excellent. The show had me hooked from beginning to end lots of songs from the original film which I remember well and loads of new ones which fitted in so well. The ending wow I admit I did shed a tear or two. Get it booked now would throughly recommend I would be more than happy to sit through it again.
Everything about this musical was breathtaking. Would definitely watch it again!
Worth seeing kept to story
One of the best West End show I've ever seen. Like the movie, fantastic, brilliant, from start to finish. What a show!!! Very impressed!
The show was brilliant. The singing the dancing and the fabulous costume. A throughly enjoyable evening.
Best west end show I’ve ever seen. Watched the film a million times over the years and the show was absolutely fantastic, loved every minute. Great great show x
The cast, scenery, musicians, everything....absolutely amazing! Best musical we've seen in a long time. We cried, we laughed, we sang along....cannot express in words how fantastic it was truly spine tingling !
Mary Poppins was absolutely wonderful with an energetic and very talented cast. The scenery changes were amazing and the new songs were brilliant. Well done.
Possibly the best spectacle I've ever seen! Made me wonder how much talent can be put together on a single stage! Impressed!!!
I haven’t received my tickets and miss the show .
Brilliant from start to finish. The actors did a fabulous job
Best production. Stars are great !
Practically perfect in every way. Amazing musical.
I thought the show was excellent I think it is the best musical I have seen for a long time
very good show BUT got very annoyed with staff running around trying to stop people videoing - not problem with that (hate people who do that) but it causes so much annoyance to the audience - why not ask and insist that people to leave when caught? Was sat in a row of extra leg room (need it as have a knee that does not bend properly - got very annoyed when some idiot usher rushed through and fell over by leg - said he was just doing their job no thought about customers who were just watching the show - senseless idiots
Fantastic family show. Great performances and smiles all round
This musical is utterly unmissable! Most beautiful sets ever.
Fabulous feel good show . Brilliant for all ages
It was an amazing experience, the music, the actors, the colours. But the most spectacular part was the scenography, the stage changes seamlessly, it’s pure art.
Enjoyed the show it’s a shame the penguins was in it .don't be a minute late to Prince Edward Theatre as you have to missed 20 minutes of the beginning of the performance as they put u in a room with the tv on to show u wants happing on stage I wasn’t happy about this as if the door people didn’t take there time as us if we have food an us we would have been on time
Absolutely brilliant - loved every minute !! Would see again in a heart beat !!
Absolutely amazing, the performance & cast were just brilliant. I’ve seen many west end shows over the years but this is definitely my favourite.. we left the show with such a feel good factor and couldn’t stop singing the songs for days!
Fantastic show 😊
