A great new production and really exciting performance.

Absolutely brilliant night, the performance's were outstanding from everyone, we had a the fabulous chance to hear both of the Eva's who were both outstanding. The pyrotechnics made it, for me, the best performance of Evita by far, I saw the original years ago at the theatre ( in door) which I was raving about then, but this performance just blew me away I cannot stop talking about it to everyone.

The staging the singing the acting the dancing the atmospherics. All just incredible.

A fabulous setting We were overwhelmed by the experience...... loved the imagery and effects that were used. Stunning choreography making efficient use of the staging. Acting and vocals superb.

Unique, dynamic choices made this an explosive and intriguing entertaining evening. Absolutely loved the venue too, from the golden fairy lit cafes, the brandy hot chocolate and the bustling excitement within.

A birthday treat for my wife turned into a awfully good show. With the beautiful weather and even Eva been replaced half way through it was still epic

This is an amazing version..gritty, urban, sensual, shocking, unpredictable and always entertaining. This MUST now do a run at The Barbican...as did Jamie Lloyd's Jesus Christ Superstar!

HAVING SEEN EVITA MANY TIMES OVER 40 YEARS IT WAS A CHANGE THE YOUNGEST PERON AND EVITA EVER VERY GOOD DANCING BUT WHY WAS CHE IN HIS UNDERPANTS AT THE END? VERY VERY GOOD

Everything about this show is magical. It’s a must see, especially at the open air theatre.

I enjoyed the show immensely! Fine weather and seated in the shade (R91) helped! From start to finish I was amazed by the creative use of the stage and props. The quality of the audio system was excellent and the high standard of singing contributed to a truely memorable performance. I have seen two other enjoyable versions of Evita but I came away from this show thinking it was really special. All the cast sang well with Che giving the ultimate performance. The understudy that played Eva was brilliant and it made me wonder how good the main part was in other shows. I thought Migaldi wasn't going to fit the part until he opened his mouth and sang beautifully! One of the songs I didn't recognise, unless it was performed in such an original way I didn't identify it, and I thought it was so cleverly done with Peron 'getting rid' of rivals using bursting balloons as the impact! Well done to the whole team....including the crew who cleared the stage at the interval and the live orchestra.

Absolutely fantastic performance - vocally and visually - on a glorious afternoon in a wonderful setting’! Life does not get better than this.

What an amazing production. Brilliant cast. Samantha Pauly as Evita gave STUNNING performance and Trent Saunders as Che was fabulous. What voices! Standing ovation from all. Well deserved!!!

our favourite venue (when not raining) regent’s park lovely, so always have a picnic in the park before and then go into the theatre grounds. Evita was fantastic. Enough said

I thought it was absolutely fantastic. The simplicity of the scenery and costumes coupled with the amazing choreography made for a very powerful production. Both Samantha Pauly as Evita and Trent Saunders as Che gave stunning performances - what voices!

An amazing evening and a brilliant cast. I had forgotten what a wonderful moving and emotional spectacular this is. 100% recommend you buy a ticket and enjoy. All this together with a beautiful venue.

EVITA !! What a fabulous evening we had. The production was magnificent, the cast amazing, the ensemble were fearless. Such energy!! The choreography was spectacular and the effects and lighting breathtaking. We opted for covered dining and the organisation as well as the food were exceptional. This is a really super theatrical experience

This really was the most outstanding production I've seen in a long time. The vocals were knock-out, the choreo was so powerful and used the body in raw, passionate and exposed ways; the props were exceptionally effective, and the special effects were used tastefully and impactfully. Special mentions must go to Evita herself and the narrator, both of whom poured every bit of emotion and beauty into their roles making you feel their pain and joy in the audience. We were so lucky with the weather at the Saturday Matinee- it was beaming down the sun and the perfect day for a pint and some musical action. Thanks for making my mum's birthday a special one.

Thoroughly enjoyed this superb performance of Evita, the outdoor theatre making it truly special. This was our first time to the theatre, but we'll definitely look forward to going again.

Energised raw version of Evita. The singing and dancing was amazing. Powerful and simply superb

A brilliant show: raw, sassy and muscular. Eva captures a convincing ruthless energy and sardonic humour; Che brings more disillusionment and fiery anger to the part than anyone before. The rest of the cast and chorus are excellent: energetic, inventive and sexy. A fantastic production that reinvents this show for the 21st century.

Having never seen the original production of Evita but knowing a little of the story, I was not sure what to expect. It was a really lovely production with the cast having beautiful voices. It was very clever the way the costume changes happened in full view of the audience but also quite unobtrusive. The weather was really warm which added to the enjoyment of the evening

This production was absolutely sensational in every way. The staging was minimal so the story was told through the spotless choreography and incredible vocal talent of the cast! I was on the edge of my seat throughout and the musical took on a much darker feel which gave it far more gravity. The actors were incredible without exception and I am desperate to see it again. The open air theatre is magical and its setting really adds to the special quality of the whole evening. Thank you a million times!

Fantastic show from a brilliantly talented cast - the setting was superb

This show was so enjoyable, in singing,dancing and acting and surprises. I saw the original Evita, this seem to have a more modern trend and would appeal to all ages.

What a fab performance! Such a talented cast, both of actors, behind the scene staff and the orchestra. Great special effects. An emotional performance and you just lost yourself in the story. Wonderful.

I thought the production was excellent, great singing and dancing. Well performed. I thought the scenes could have been changed occasionally. I didn’t think it was nice that the cast wore trainers all the time. I know it was very hot but I didn’t think it was very professional that the lead singer kept drinking from her water bottle. No one else did. Surely, when she was off stage she could have drunk.

Lovely music from start to finish. Great cast and all had good voices. Thoroughly enjoyable production - The simplicity let the music shine through.

I went in a bit of a bad mood. Tired, work stress etc. Came out feeling energised, exhilarated and covered in ticker tape! Fab music, dancing and singing. Made me feel rather hopeful and happy. And I was with my mother, so that’s saying something!!

Excellent performance

My first time at this wonderful venue. Evita was amazing. This contemporary version had lots of modern dancing with all the traditional Evita songs.

Fantastic performance, it was quite raw in terms of set and costumes but very clever. The choreography was brilliant, and the performances were aggressive in line with the politics. Being outdoors just made it even more authentic.

LEADING LADY MISCAST. SHRILL AT TIMES. NOT A PATCH ON OTHERS PLAYING THE ROLE. CHE IS SUPERB. OTHERS SO SO. CHOREOGRAPHY MOSTLY VERY GOOD. DISLIKED THE WAY THIS PRODUCTION WAS INTERPRETED. PRESUMABLY TO ATTRACT A YOUNGER AUDIENCE. KEEP TO THE BRILLIANT ORIGINAL WITH PERHAPS TWEAKS HERE AND THERE.

Fabulous high energy emotional performance - clever choreography - everyone on the stage was a star and the musicians behind 100 percent would recommend

A brilliant production which captured the political difficulties of the time and the sinister undertow. Cast and musicians excellent and strong teamwork evident throughout. Initially the staging did not appeal but once the performance began it came into its own. Quite how the cast danced and performed such remarkable movement on a series of steps remains a mystery. Marsha Songcome became Eva Peron in a seamless performance and Trent Saunders as Che incredible ! Excellent casting supported the whole making a perfect afternoon. Thank you !!

Such a great show - but we nearly missed it! The Open Air Theatre is hardly signed within Regents Park so unless you know exactly where it is leave an extra half an hour to get there - it's a guessing game!!

Fantastic production at Regents Park Open Air as ever and I do not regret the evening in the slightest but I felt the production lacked emotion and did not provoke the response that I was expecting from what should be such a powerful story. There were some spectacular scenes but at times it felt like a rock concert and a little dated. Highlights were Che's performance which was spectacular.

Overall the show was thoroughly enjoyable. There were a few songs in the first half where the words were difficult to hear as the pitch was too high. Would definitely recommend it.

The vocals from beginning to end were amazing and the story flowed beautifully.

A memorable performance by a talented wonderfully choreographed group of actors. The music and the singing were flawless and we were blessed to have had beautiful weather too. A thoroughly enjoyable treat - a must see!

Without question the best production of Evita I have experienced ... and there have been many. A youthful, energetic and hugely enjoyable performance with the three main characters outstanding. The Open Air Theatre on a balmy summer's night was perfectly in tune with the sultry goings on in Buenos Aires ... Big Apple!

I loved this show, third time I’ve seen Evita and by far the best, amazing production with such creativity and intelligence that totally wowed me and my husband. Amazing performances by all but Che was ace. Well done everyone.

Great production! Enjoyed every part of the performance. With the matinee over the cast took time to say hello evita leaving . EKtor very friendly taking extra time with any photos ! A wonderful experience!
