Winner of 4 Olivier Awards, including Best New Musical, Come From Away has taken the West End by storm. Playing to nightly standing ovations at London’s Phoenix Theatre, Come From Away also continues sold-out, record-breaking engagements on Broadway, across the USA and in Canada.
This joyous new musical shares the incredible real-life story of the 7,000 air passengers from all over the world that became grounded in Canada during the wake of 9/11, and the small Newfoundland community that invited these ‘come from aways’ into their lives.
As uneasiness turned into trust and music soared into the night, gratitude grew into friendships and their stories would become a celebration of hope, humanity and unity.
Awarded the Tony® Award for Best Direction of a Musical, Christopher Ashley’s production guides audiences through a colourful and spirited cast of characters, brought to life by Tony® and Grammy® nominated writing team Irene Sankoff and David Hein.
"This musical gets everything right. Irresistible and inspiring.” - The Times
"This miraculous masterpiece is totally, soul-feedingly wonderful." - Timeout
Fast moving brilliantly performed. Story told with a mixture of sensitivity and humour leading one into an insight into a differet aspect of 9/11
I have never been to see a theatre where no one coughed, shuffled or crackled. We were so engrossed in the story. Still and attentive throughout. There are no stand out stars, all 16 cast members and the band were just great as an ensemble. There was a reflexive standing ovation when we were there yesterday, and I understand this happens each performance. Absolutely quirky, but makes your heart lift.
Such an amazing show. Incredible storyline and total talent. Would highly recommend
A 5horoughly enjoyable production. The cast were impressive and delivered a spectacularperformance.
Amazing show, I was crying all the way through, would definitely recommend
I wasn’t looking forward to this as I was sceptical how the subject could be handled as a musical, but the issues surrounding 9/11 were sensitively represented with honesty and care. The actors & musicians were outstanding. It’s very emotional so bring tissues!
Such a great show, my face hurt from smiling, would highly recommend
Superb production, loved the music and the story. Really high quality performances and singing.
A wonderful emotional musical , definitely one not too miss.
An excellent show, superb cast and musicians. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and would recommend.
Was unsure what this musical would be like. Pleasantly surprised, excellent singing, choreography and music. Enjoyed it very much.
It was fabulous. Highly recommend.
Loved the show!
Second viewing of this for my daughters, early 20’s and myself . Absolutely loved it again .
Excellent entertaining production
Simply amazing how 12 actors and a few band members can tell the story of so many people, and remember every single line. Impressive how the director was able to get something like this together so quickly.
This show was such an emotional rollercoaster but absolutely amazing, it definitely deserved the watching ovation!!
I have a tendency to fall asleep in every musical and this was not the case with Come from Away. It was amazing! The story was beautiful and the whole set up and how the history unravels was genius! Would highly recommend it.
A fantastic play which was put together very well with great music. It had a real feelgood factor to it. The pace was fast and it was good there was no interval. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Great show with slick changeovers, convincing acting and wonderful singing.
Wonderful show. I'll be recommending it to others as a must see.
What an incredible show. Great staging and production. The telling of this true event is so spellbinding and I certainly was not aware that any of this had happened. The set was complete genius so simple but effective. I defy anyone not to enjoy this show!
Super charged show, with huge poignancy.
I loved Come From Away. I did cry through most of it because it brought back my own personal memories of 9/11 but I also laughed a lot and left the theatre feeling very positive and satisfied. I love shows that let me get to know characters deeply and feel what they feel. The characters in this show were all very likeable people and it was a pleasure to get to know them and see how their relationships developed. It really showcases the kindness of strangers. We were surprised to learn that there would be no interval but the 100 minutes went very quickly and I think an interval would have made it feel like a show, rather than a reality that we ourselves had entered.
SO SO good! Really recommend it!
I am always open to giving any show the benefit of doubt ana was intrigued to see how they would tackle such an unusual subject matter. Wow! Very impressed. Strong story, cleverly told, informative, tragic, funny, great songs. It was really uplifting and all four of us loved it
What a great show one of the best amazing cast and story a real uplifting story well worth seeing. Loved it.
Come from away, hits you the minute it starts, full of life and activity!! It is a joy to watch. All members of the cast are incredible and the performance a real your de force! A must to see!!
Whilst the play is themed on events circumventing 9/11, it is quite disparate, relating to the knock on events, concentrating on a small distant community. However, the play moves seamlessly through events and is cleverly constructed, simple to follow, but musically very entertaining. Not entirely what I expected but I would say pleasantly surprised and most enjoyable.
One of the best shows I’ve seen. Love the music.
Brilliantly acted and great vocals throughout the entire cast. Set was amazing also. Overall a fantastic show with the most wonderful message of heartfelt generosity and humanity at a time of great tragedy. Hard to imagine anyone not finding this show utterly moving and all hilarious with a big comedy element. Can’ t wait to go again!
No 'best bits' because it was ALL best!
This is an amazing show. It is slick and professional. It is uplifting, funny but at times very poignant. I would recommend this show .. it is a must see... well done to the cast , writer and production team.
Bloody Fantastic xx Funny, serious and sensitive all in one show. Would come to see it again x

I took my grandchildren (aged from 18 to 24) They are all interested in contemporary theatre and thought it amazing.
Excellent bu 15 min too long Begging for donations at the end distasteful and spoilt the show!!!!! B
It really did capture how do May different people from diverse cultures were effected. The performance was top notch and the actors gave their all! Must have been exhausting with no interval. Big well done and applause to all involved!
Engaging, clever, pacey, imaginative, interesting, funny, full of sentiment without the cheese, brilliant actors, wonderful music and should be seen by all.
The story is very powerful and the production of the show is so interesting. The set and lighting are so cool amd the band are truly brilliant. I am still thinking about the show days after I watched it. Very clever and a superb cast.
Fantastic show real feel good factor shows the power of human kindness
Have been looking forward to this show since I booked my tickets! & I wasn’t disappointed!!loved every minute!!
Amazing, 3rd time seeing it, daughter is a regular. Intensity of the cast and the subject which is so sensitive portrayed so beautifully , it really is the worlds best theatre performance bar none because of the powerful context as well as the amazing actors. I am amazed and humbled by how people react in the audience when seeing this for the first time, Rachel, Cat, Mary,Jon and the whole cast really make this performance, (can tell I’ve been stage door with my daughter and I can’t remember everyone’s name, it’s such a strong and emotional performance it needed the intimacy of the cast of only 15, you’ve given an amazing way of celebrating and commemorating a life changing incident. Amazing Job guys... Much more than just a musical xx
The show was incredible, so wonderfully wholesome. Cried and laughed, cannot recommend enough!
I loved this show! Such an unusual and interesting subject and brilliantly performed by the whole cast. It had a bit of everything. Drama, sadness and romance. I will recommend it to my friends.
A real feel good show, I wasn't expecting considering the storyline.
We are Canadians and saw the Canadian play and I must say I do believe the British version had much greater enthusiasm and great acting
