Get swept up in the romantic tragedy of Manon, a breath-taking journey of love, decadence and passion.
In a world where extravagant riches and abject poverty exist side by side, Manon is caught in-between. She falls in love with a penniless student, but is lured into becoming the mistress of a rich gentleman. From giddiness to despair, triumph to regret, this Manon is “searingly powerful” (The Guardian).
“Handsomely staged, meticulously rehearsed and vividly danced” (The Spectator), English National Ballet’s production of Kenneth MacMillan’s ballet features compelling characters, gasp-inducing love duets and larger than life scenes, all set to a haunting score by Jules Massenet, played live by English National Ballet Philharmonic.

★★★★ “A truly irresistible tragedy… dramatic, thrilling, affecting” The Daily Telegraph
Fantastic Ballet, I was so moved. I actually had tears in my eyes.
Exquisite performance by such talented artists, with hauntingly beautiful music by the orchestra. Alina Cojocaru Principal ballerina with the English National Ballet was breathtaking and her performance was exceptionally moving.
What a fabulous show it was - the dancing was superb and very talented, loved all of the Ballet team of the English National Ballet. The ticket was awesome brought through the box office for only £10 which is extremely great value and was easy to print, thank you box-office.
Usually critics review performances and lean towards exaggerating the total performance leaving us disappointed- this certainly was not the case with Manon, absolutely flawless and a joy to watch.
Very enjoyable, lots of drama and little enlightened moments of humour.
What a wonderful choreography and staging! Very sad but interesting story brought to life by amazing ballet dancers! Also really enjoyed the music. Highly recommend!
Thoroughly enjoyed the show had an excellent view . Highly recommended. Sensational ballet .
Loved every moment of it
Such a formidable ballet.
This was such a breathtaking, captivating performance. The choreography, costumes and staging were faultless. Remarkable performances full of emotion. Simply wonderful. Thank you.
Wonderful interpretation of a strong storyline backed by an amazing orchestra. I went with my teenage daughter who loved it. I personally wouldn't have taken her much younger given the subject matter. It was thoroughly beautiful and compelling.
My friend and I both enjoyed this wonderful production. The choreography was breathtaking at times with the dancers creating amazing shapes and movements, the romantic pas de deux the most passionate and moving and the music sublime.
The ballet was beautiful and dramatic. Even had some humourous moments. Costumes were amazing as well! Definitely worth the trip.
The performance was very beautiful.
I have left half way through. I had seen Manon last year and this was of a lesser quality.
We loved this exquisite and emotionally charged performance. Beautiful storytelling.
Beautiful production of Manon enjoyed the colourful second Act immensley.
It was a delightful piece and all of the dancers were faultless. The costumes and scenery added to the magic, as did the sublime music. Fully recommended
Absolutely breathtaking the Dancing and Costumes were spectacular. Wonderful afternoon spent escaping
A very professional and well produced ballet.
Thoroughly enjoyed the ballet - excellent dancing, but not such a lavish overall setting as Covent Garden. Recommended though !
Went and saw Manon at the london coliseum last night and it was a fantastic ballet - with a excellent quality and skillful dancers of the English National Ballet, ticket was only £10 in the balcony so I am going again on Sunday.
Stunning, engaging and emotional!
This was my first time at the Ballet. The venue as always beautiful and staff friendly. The performance was excellent, romantic, atmospheric, beautifully performed. The music excellent! You could understand this ballet so well even without the music and if you are deaf. 5 stars definitely recommend I was quite high up on balcony, no restrictions but will go again and try and get seats closer to the stage
