Graeme of Thrones
Graeme of Thrones
WINTER IS COMING TO THE WEST END THIS SEPTEMBER
CRITICS’ CHOICE: The Times / Evening Standard / Metro
Straight from its world tour success, critically acclaimed comedy parody Graeme of Thrones will transfer to London’s West End at the Charing Cross Theatre this autumn.
In this theatrical journey through the Seven Kingdoms, avid ‘Thrones’ fan Graeme just wants to recreate his favourite fantasy saga on stage. He doesn’t quite have the same budget as the TV show, or as many cast members, or the performance skills required, but he’s sure George RR Martin would approve – and that’s what matters. But when news reaches him that an influential theatrical producer is in the building, Graeme decides that this could be his big break - as long as nothing goes wrong...
After huge success in Chicago, Toronto, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney, Londoners can now discover a show which Time Out described as ‘a must for any Game Of Thrones fan’, and caused a woman in Norwich to vomit into her handbag, and was even banned from performing in Malaysia.
Created by a team of some of the UK’s top comedy writers, Graeme Of Thrones is an original and unauthorised parody on the international phenomenon that is Game Of Thrones. A treat for fans and an introduction for the unenlightened.
See it before the inevitable lawsuit!

These 3 (or should I say a cast of 1'000s....) capture the very essence of the Game of Thrones in an accurate, humorous and entertaining fashion from the word go!! Anyone who is a Game of Thrones fan should see this and enjoy!!

Really enjoyed the performance! Had a lot of fun watching the show, all the call backs to the Game Of Thrones series were fantastic. I also am REALLY glad I got to sit in the front row, since I got called up on stage to re-enact the scene between the Mountain and the Viper. This has made me fall in love with Improv all over again! :)

Had a great time at this performance on Sunday evening. It was really, really funny, especially the accents and the period blood....

Laugh out loud funny, and a true experience. I don't think anybody without game of thrones knowledge will understand this, so for those who are not fans should probably not go. But anybody who has seen the show must attend, the characters and actors playing the roles are hilarious, the props are definitely inspired.

Brilliant - really laugh out loud funny. Couldn’t imagine how a TV show full of violence , rape and torture could become a comic stage show but they did it . 3 brilliants actors carried it of in style

This is a superb show for fans of GoT. The cast of 3 are as a cast of 100s. From the opening credits to using umbrellas to the spat at the end over the throne is was a wonderful experience and not to be missed. My face and sides ached from all the laughing. Outstanding. Well done to all those involved.

Low budget, fast paced in parts, surreal in others, moments of utter genius, a pythonesque non ending and disturbingly good impressions of Tyrion and Jon Snow. The theatre is intimate, almost embarrassingly so for this Englishman, but it helps the gags. The London references (Foxtons, Zone 1 etc) made it feel more special, like the three hard working actors had put on a play just for us. The parody of GOT was superb, the funding/ love interest sub plot, less so. My mouth ached when I left from laughing as much as I did and the actors deserve admiration and recognition for their energy and ad-libbing. Worth seeing- it’s a fun evening.

I didn't know what to expect, but the show was excellent and so much better than I would ever dream. This is a must see for all GoT - infact my partner hasn't seen any of the shows and really enjoyed the performance. Sharp, very funny and so very clever> Well done to all 3 performers. A-MAZ-ING. I'm going to get more tickets to see a second time - it's that good.
