You have been summoned for jury service...
A landmark new stage production of Agatha Christie’s Witness for the Prosecution takes place in London County Hall, planting audiences right in the centre of this gripping story of justice, passion, and betrayal.
Leonard Vole stands accused of murdering a widow in order to inherit her wealth, and the stakes are high: convince the jury – and the audience – of his innocence, or face the hangman’s noose. That is, after he’s survived the shocking witness testimony.
This production immerses the audience in a unique courtroom setting, complete with drama and intensity, on London’s Southbank.
See you in court.

Excellent production. Although I knew the story, it still kept me wondering if I knew the ending
We had the most amazing evening, loved every moment of it!
Great drama and acting, venue is amazing. Sat in jury box, definitely worth the extra cost
Authentic setting...sheer brilliance of venue and atmosphere. Wonderful acting totally came together through each character portrayed with conviction. Marvelled by the sheer brilliance of Agatha Christies writing, still very current today.
I would like to point out that there are no lifts at county hall to the chamber and we were sitting very high up in the central gallery both my husband and I have had recent knee problems and at no point when I was booking did I see aman alert about this also the toilets were a long way from where we were sitting apart from that the performance was excellent
Great acting, great location. Thank you.
An absolutely brilliant show. So cleverly done and I love how the audience was part of it too. Actors were all great too and such a fantastic location.
Witness for the Prosecution is a courtroom drama and mystery with Agatha Christie's signature twist in the tale. The performances were great particularly the lead. The set was well thought out and captured the feel of the play.
Thoroughly enjoyable evening with fabulous acting. Absolutely breathtaking setting which really added to the ambience. Will definitely be returning
If you prefer real theatre seats instead of a church pew, and have a fear of heights, and prefer to see 100 percent of the stage you must not buy gallery seats for this venue.
Loved the setting- such a wonderful old building easily accessible from Waterloo station. Riveting watch. What a fabulous production!
We loved it set in an authentic court room setting it was easy to get engulfed in the plot. Beautiful building and we felt honoured to visit it. The play held our attention through out. Nice there were jugs of water left out in the interval to be able to have a drink. We would definitely recommend seeing this this play.
From the start the acting is very good and the twist and the end is fantastic
Absolutely loved Witness for the Prosecution! The venue is so impressive and couldn’t be more appropriate for the subject. Great atmosphere and lots of plot twists to boot. Thoroughly recommend it - you won’t be disappointed!!
I am the oversea student in Kingston university. It is the first time that I see the stage play in London. I should say it is stunning and impressive. The play shows the controversial scene in the book. Although it is a little hard for foreigners to understand 100% speech between characters, I still feel the passion and charm on them.
Great venue which really adds to the storyline and atmosphere. Classic whodunit, very enjoyable with good performances.
Really enjoyed the piece. Excellent acting, great story, lovely venue.
Excellent play, with surprising and unpredictable twists. Well-acted and gripping. Enormously enhanced by the grandeur of the unique setting.
Very good evening out
County Hall is a great setting for this play. The play itself was fast paced, wonderfully performed and beats other performances of this classic seen at other venues in past years. Strongly recommended.
I’ve now seen this production twice and very much recommend it. A great cast bring to life a brilliant production in a truly original venue.
Excellent production and venue
The acting and beautiful setting made a potentially dull script interesting. Accurate court room detail with a classic Agatha Christie plot. Pillars got in the way of the view
Fantastic cast - brilliant venue
The performance was excellent and the mystery was kept a secret till the very end
Very well acted and in the right setting. The scene changes were so slick.
Excellent play in wonderful setting. Very well acted
Absolutely loved the show, thoroughly recommend.
Agatha at her best ,with twists and turns ! Loved the venue at county hall courtroom. Really felt part of the drama.
Had seats in the God’s but was still able to hear and see the production. Very enjoyable would recommend a look.
Fabulous setting in County Hall. The usual Agatha Christie twists!
Wouldn't have gone to see 'just another Agatha' but the notion of it being played in the atmospheric former LCC/GLC Council Chamber -at County Hall swung it for me. Great fun. Well produced, great fun. One slight niggle - it's too often hard to hear some of the actors, especially when they are facing away from you.
Great venue, great performers, lovely way to spend the afternoon, and having our seats upgraded was a nice bonus
What a fantastic production! We had a wonderful afternoon at the matinee. Comfortable seats. Brilliant view. Loved the staging of this production. The sets were brilliant and the stage hands were so efficient at changing the sets. The actors were totally believable. It really felt like being part of the court case. Superb.
Brilliant. Loved the setting. Would definitely recommend it to family and friends. Great twist at the end, loved it.
Really loved our evening watching this unique theatrical experience. Fabulous acting, and great atmosphere. Not to be missed.
Great story, so well acted and kept you guessing. Absolutely must for thisecthat enjoy who dunnits.
Fantastic night. Great acting any the sound choices and quality was especially impressive.
Loved the play. Totally different to what we have seen before. Great being so close to everything.
What a show! Amazing acting, full of twists and turns right up to the end! I would do recommend this show.
We went for my daughter’s Birthday treat and had a lovely evening. I’d heard excellent review so was keen to go. We sat in Row A. Probably was a little close to the stage! Right on top of it and felt actors could fall on to you (but they obviously didn’t!) and being in the front row there was no table to rest your drink as there was from Row B upwards. So I would recommend Row B if either of these things bother you. Otherwise Row A very good! The cast are excellent. Great enthusiasm. It’s not a long play. Finished before 10pm. Only negative was the staff. Some were very friendly. But I felt we were rushed / escorted off the premises as soon as the play was over!! Why do they think they are more special than any other theatre in London that it has to be locked up immediately after the finish. We hadn’t even finished our drink from the interval and I was almost locked up and lights turned off in the toilet. A shame as this did put a dampener on the evening for sure. Toby the staff member needs to be less official and a little more relaxed after the show please. Thank you! But I would definitely recommend the play!
Incredible performance, amazing location and a fabulous story line. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen in London and in such a unique setting.
We took our 16 year old twins, they loved it, as did we.
An exceptional afternoon watching Witness for the Prosecution. Each and every actor, scene and the setting made the afternoon entertaining and fun. Many congratulations to all involved, Thank you.
Great nights entertainment. Highly recommended
We enjoyed the performance very much but I must say the seating upstairs was the most uncomfortable 2 hours we have ever spent in twenty five years of theatre. Performance superb, comfort poor. Recommended.
We know Agatha Christie plays always have a twist and this is no exception. Loved the production & setting. Well acted. The time flew by as you were absorbed by the trial.
Brilliant idea and execution! We were totally absorbed by the story and were surprised when intermission started! Totally recommend going since it’s excellent theatre with a new look
A good production of a great play. The setting really helped
