The Very Hungry Caterpillar
The Very Hungry Caterpillar
The Very Hungry Caterpillar makes its West End debut this Christmas following successful runs in Australia and on Broadway.
Live show The Very Hungry Caterpillar brings to life three of best-selling author and designer Eric Carle’s beloved children’s books: Little Cloud, The Mixed-up Chameleon and all-time children’s favourite The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Follow the incredible adventures of a very small, very hungry caterpillar as it munches its way through all kinds of food, witness the fun and frolics of Little Cloud who takes all sorts of shapes way up in the sky, and watch a bored chameleon who wants to be more like other animals head off to explore the zoo.
A colourful, captivating and creative stage show, The Very Hungry Caterpillar uses the magic of puppetry to bring these delightful stories to life. Dozens of puppets beautifully capture the unique collage artwork of Carle’s books in a strikingly faithful representation of his iconic and enchanting characters.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar is the perfect introduction to the theatre for the little ones and a joy for all those who grew up with these wonderful books.

This was a lovely show to which I took my 4 year old granddaughter. Lovely puppets and puppetry. I thought the artist and seahorse pieces were great but overlong. Could have cut these to perhaps 5 animals. And a bit more interaction with the kids would have kept some of them more focussed. Otherwise most enjoyable.

Daughter loved it, very colourful and cheerful. Kept her attention for the entire time which is something that is extremely hard to do! Very child friendly, didn't appear to be any expectation for children to stay silent throughout the show.
